Her impeccable appearance totally washed out all the subtle accusations secretly lifted by the w.a.n.g family influence. At the same, keeping her ident.i.ty hidden.

The talk shows hostess who falsely claimed to have met Mr. Li's wife in real life and subtle criticized her looks had a.s.sumed that the Li family would never bring Chen Yi in public. But now, they were going to get their faces smacked!

Li Luxian had expected her to be at least a little bit fl.u.s.tered. However, finding her unshakable stance, an even more attractive bearing than him, he could not help but praise her in his heart. "As expected of my Yiyi."

Chen Yi's perfect elegant smile faltered. Through her teeth, she seethed, glaring at him. "What did I tell you about calling me that?"

"Just why? It is such a cute nickname?" Li Luxian honestly could not understand what was wrong with that innocent name.

With her eyes blazing in cold anger, Chen Yi decided to not allow that provocative man the satisfaction of seeing her annoyed. Thus, she averted her eyes.

Once the das.h.i.+ng couple disappeared from the sight, one of the reporters sighed in regret.

"It's a pity we did not get to see Mr. Li wife's face."

Others silently agreed with him. If they had managed to get her face, their reports would blow up in media!

They could only placate themselves with the fact that the shots they already got were by no means inferior.

Despite only getting half of the face, they could already tell that Mr. Li's wife was one devastating beauty.

After Chen Yi and Li Luxian, no matter which couple appeared in the sight, none could grasp their attention as they did.

They felt everyone paled in front of that stunning couple.

Inside the splendid venue, Chen Yi could not help but suck in a sharp breath.

There was one word to describe the place; that was 'Magnificant'

Although her family was by no means poor, the 'Li' family was definitely another level.

It was like a party arranged by royals from an ancient fairytale. Such glorious was the premise.

"Shameless!" She could not help from saying.

"Zhao Lifei, please don't do anything stupid." Her friend sighed. "I have heard that w.a.n.g Hualing had gotten herself insulted in her attempts to show that wh.o.r.e her place."

The woman named Zhao Lifei had elegant looks. She wore a luxurious, expensive dress. With a haughty sneer over her face, she said. "Don't compare me with that w.a.n.g family spoiled brat." Thinking of w.a.n.g Hualing, Zhao Lifei laughed. "She is not right in the head. You don't understand. It has been exactly because of that w.a.n.g Hualing that Li Luxian had been pushed to marry a random girl."

The way Zhao Lifei nonchalantly called that formidable man 'Li Luxian' instead of Mr. Li attracted countless pairs of eyes. 

If she dared to call him that, she must have a close relations.h.i.+p with him.

And they were right.

People recognized her. 

It was Zhao Lifei, the woman who had once been very close to Li Luxian. It was rumored she was his girlfriend. Though their relations.h.i.+p was never made formal, it was a common agreement among the public. The air to their suspicious relations.h.i.+p was given by a dramatic fight between w.a.n.g Hualing and Zhao Lifei once had.

And also, when the news of Li Luxian suddenly marrying someone other than w.a.n.g Hualing was made public, Zhao Lifei was the first person who everyone had in their minds.

People had automatically a.s.sumed that the secret ident.i.ty of Mr. Li wife was Zhao Lifei. 

"Oh," The other woman appeared to be hesitant. Like countless others, she was deeply curious. She had also a.s.sumed that Zhao Lifei was Mrs. Li. But today's event had challenged her a.s.sumptions. "But the fact Mr. Li is bringing out this woman to a social event proves that he intends to introduce her to society as his wife. Doesn't that mean he is strengthening her position and validating their relations.h.i.+p? Doesn't appear to me she is a random girl Mr. Li married for the sole purpose of getting rid of the w.a.n.g family. If that was the case, he would have kept her in hiding." The woman put forward her views, intending to Zhao Lifei negate her and prompting her to reveal more information.

When one considered Li Luxian actions reasonably, validating Chen Yi's position appeared to be his motive. Besides, everyone had this same thought in his mind. 

This resulted in a feeling of frustration in Zhao Lifei heart.

Zhao Lifei had already endured countless instances of overt mockery at today's event when Mr. Li was announced to arrive with his wife.

Prior to this, everyone suspected, no, firmly believed Zhao Lifei was Mrs. Li.
