Chapter 243 - A wedding (1)

Perhaps she had too much hesitation, Big Sister did not go with Shu Yan to City Nan. She only said that she’d go visit next time when she has free time. Shu Yan did not press the issue as Big Sister was reluctant. She left her with her shop number in the end. There were always ups and downs in life. Had Big Sister not given her so much pointers at the beginning and showed her a few shops with good values, Shu Yan would have been able to kick start her business so smoothly. As long as Big Sister went to City Nan and gave her a call, Shu Yan would for sure take care of her no matter how busy she was.

Shop owners like Shu Yan were in the process of getting rid of their inventory as were those in the market. Many of the winter styles were marked down ma.s.sively. Shu Yan picked a few cla.s.sic styles and those that could easily mix and match. She could sell these in the fall/winter time even if she couldn’t sell them all now. Other than those, she also bought ma.s.sive amount of spring clothes. One needed a lot of clothes to fill a shop.

She was about to hire a tricycle when she saw a tall and strong man in a coat leaning up against a light post not too far from her.

He walked up quickly when he saw Shu Yan walking out. “The car is not too far away. Let me help you with those.”

Shu Yan bought a lot today and had picked out a few to bring back with her. Even with just a small selection from each location, she had a lot with her. It took Feng Zeyu three trips to transfer them all into the car. Shu Yan, too, went with him all three trips but Feng Zeyu took all the heavy ones. Shu Yan only took the odds and ends.

The trunk was filled to its brim as was the pa.s.senger seat. When Shu Yan returned and saw that, she lifted her brows. Feng Zeyu had no intention in sitting in the pa.s.senger seat even on the return trip. If she still had any doubts about his meaning, she had wasted all of her years and all of the dramas and novels that she had watched and read.

“It’s still early in time. Let’s go get some breakfast?” Feng Zeyu turned and asked her after he had everything put away.

“Sure, my treat.” It was not pleasant to ride in the car with an empty stomach. “Would you like to join us, Master?”

“No need. I have already eaten.” The driver shook his head immediately.

The two of them ordered two orders of xiaolongbao, two bowls of soy milk and had a simple breakfast. They didn’t talk much during breakfast but it didn’t seem awkward either.

“You didn’t go visit Duoduo?” Shu Yan searched for topics on their way back.

“Duoduo went with his mother to his grandmother’s. I come to City Han quite often. I can visit them next time I come.” Feng Zeyu gave Shu Yan a look.

Shu Yan nodded and opened up the car door. She was just about to get inside when Feng Zeyu beat her to it. “You tend to get motion sickness. Take the spot by the window.” The other end was taken by merchandizes.

“Thank you!”

He probably saw her getting motion sickness in the past. He was, indeed, a very attentive person.

“Get some sleep. I’ll wake you up when we arrive.” Feng Zeyu pulled out a little pillow and placed it next to the window. “This way your neck won’t hurt and neither would your head.”

Shu Yan had no idea that he had that prepared as well. She was very touched by his actions.

Ever since she had transmigrated to this world, she had suddenly gained two children. With the original owner’s memory, she had a natural, strong attachment to the two children and that would not allow her to let them go. She must remain strong in front of the two of them and stand in front of them between them and other hards.h.i.+ps. Sometimes she, too, had forgotten that she was a single woman who had never been married or have children of her own. She was 30 years old in real age but 20 at heart and she, too, was just woman who wished to have a husband who would dote on her.

Shu Yan smiled at him and slowly fell asleep with her head on the pillow.

She slept particularly well today and all the way to the front of her shop. She was groggy even by the time Feng Zeyu had woken her up.
