Chapter 575: Yan Han is about to Flee?
Yan Han spat out blood all over the sky.
The standstill actually lasted only for a split second, as the victor of the battle quickly became clear.
It was just like how Yan Han had been able to quickly injure the Heretic so much back then.
Both the Heretic and Yan Han were on the same level, but the combat prowess from both of them proved otherwise.
It looked like they were on two completely different levels altogether.
At that moment, Yan Han finally realized how the Heretic had felt during the battle before.
It was the feeling of being utterly incapable of even making a dent in the opponent despite one’s best efforts. It was like throwing eggs at a wall.
His Holy Body of the Sun enabled him to almost beat down the Heretic instantly, eventually giving him an overwhelming victory against the Heretic.
However, the same attack was completely useless against Lu Xuan.
He could sense that Lu Xuan had some kind of exceptional physique as well, one that was every bit on par with his own. Perhaps Lu Xuan’s physique even surpa.s.sed his own.
If that was the case, then he would have probably been able to hang on for a bit longer.
What proved even more terrifying was the Auric Flower that Lu Xuan conjured above his head.
The Auric Flower enabled Lu Xuan to easily manipulate his aura as if it was his own personal army. That enabled him to easily crush Yan Han’s aura, which looked like that of scattered forces in comparison.
It felt as if they both possessed the same physique, yet Yan Han was only able to bring 100 percent of his powers to bear in one go. Meanwhile, Lu Xuan was about to do so at 200 percent.
The difference between them was ma.s.sive.
They looked as if they were on different levels altogether.
To make matters worse, he was actually inferior to Lu Xuan when it came to sheer power alone. Being forced into those circ.u.mstances showed Yan Han how the Heretic felt back in their previous battle.
The thoughts seemed very elaborate, yet they had only appeared in his mind for a single instant before pain quickly took over.
As the spot between his thumb and his index finger broke open, blood began spewing in all directions. That prevented him from even holding his spear.
His spear was sent flying back almost instantly, flying away like a shooting star.
Pfftt!
Yan Han spat out blood yet again. He couldn’t help it, as his insides were already hemorrhaging from being rattled so badly that they s.h.i.+fted about.
To make matters worse, he only managed to survive due to his exceptionally special const.i.tution. Without it, the clash would’ve exploded his innards and shattered his bones.
Even so, the clash had broken all of the bones in his arm.
To put it precisely, the bones were all broken due to the twisting force coming in too hard. The spear in his hand ended up flying off elsewhere because he was unable to handle such ma.s.sive incoming force.
Beads of sweat broke out all over his body, drenching his back.
He was severely injured in just a split second.
Lu Xuan had actually demonstrated his terrifying combat prowess in just two moves.
The Auric Flower above his head continued to amplify his combat prowess to terrifying levels.
It was only then that Yan Han realized just how great the difference in combat prowess was when one side had conjured the Auric Flower.
Yan Han was capable of running over just about any other cultivators who were half a step into the Divine Transformation Realm. Now, he was the one being overrun by Lu Xuan instead.
When Lu Xuan said that he would get rid of Yan Han in just three moves, that definitely was not a joke. Rather, such a feat was easy to achieve.
That was what made Lu Xuan so terrifying.
Yan Han, who had always claimed that he was invincible and fearless, had now developed some kind of fear that came from being pummeled without even being given a chance to resist.
At that moment, all Yan Han could think was, ‘No, I can’t die here. I can’t die here.’
If he were to die right now, that would’ve been the end of everything for him.
Dead people had no pride nor dignity to speak of. It was only then that Yan Han realized that being alive was what gave everything meaning.
The Heretic, who had been watching from afar, was absolutely dumbfounded. He never expected the man whom he just happened to meet in the mountains to have been so powerful.
This man was capable of feats that even he was incapable of; he killed tens of top-notch fighters from Taichu Path before making short work of Yan Han, who had been beating him down mere moments ago.
“I guess it’s true; common folks like us are powerless against someone like that.”
The Heretic chuckled in a self-deprecating manner. Even someone like him, who had absolute confidence in himself, learned that he was no different from anyone else when facing off against a monster like Lu Xuan. He never even thought someone like Lu Xuan could exist.
When even Yan Han was nothing special compared to Lu Xuan, there was simply no one who could truly claim themselves to be exceptional against the latter.
However, what happened at the very next moment stunned even himself; Yan Han had turned around to flee.
He was unable to believe what was happening from the start. Yan Han had been renowned all over the Blessed Enclave for the past several decades. n.o.body had ever seen or heard of Yan Han flee from an enemy.
Even when facing off against elders who were far more powerful than him, Yan Han had never once fled. Then again, that had a lot to do with him being escorted by people who possessed immense power.
The Heretic had once heard that all of Taichu Path was overjoyed to have found a disciple of such G.o.dlike const.i.tution decades ago.
That was because a person of such physiques was known to have been invincible throughout the ages. Every time someone with such G.o.dlike bodies emerged, they would proceed to make it their era where they reigned supreme as long as they lived.
Yan Han had the best teachers since a very young age; even the grand ancestor at the Divine Transformation Realm personally tutored him in cultivation. Needless to say, all kinds of cultivation resources were spent on him as if they were easily expendable.
Yan Han had also never let his sect and his elders down. Ever since he was young, he had been overpowering all of his peers. He became invincible within the ranks of Taichu Path before reigning supreme throughout the entire Blessed Enclave.
The Heretic was somewhat younger than Yan Han. He had always seen Yan Han as his goal ever since he began cultivating.
Additionally, the Heretic had always envied Yan Han for the privileges that he enjoyed. Even though the heritage and resources that the Heretic had access to made him look like an emperor among lone cultivators, all of that was still nothing when compared to what Yan Han had.
As such, Yan Han looked nothing less than a sun in the eyes of his peers. He outs.h.i.+ned everyone else as soon as he made his entrance.
Although other cultivation geniuses were known as monsters in their own right, they were all inferior when compared to Yan Han.
The Heretic was among those so-called monsters.
He was also a very renowned cultivator out there. He had always been known among the handful of goliaths in the world of cultivation. Even then, Yan Han still managed to defeat him.
Had Lu Xuan not been around, it would’ve most likely been impossible for him to have even escaped in one piece on that day.
He saw Yan Han as someone who could overrun anyone who stood in his way. It didn’t matter who Yan Han was up against; he only needed to bulldoze his opponents through sheer force.
Even so, Yan Han was now trying to flee.
