Chapter 482: Fu Zhi Is The Shop Owner – 2
Ouyang Ya frowned. “Fu Zhi, if you don’t want to eat somewhere else, you can just say it. How can you beat her in public?”
‘Beat her? This is called jaw dislocation. Can you please be more professional when describing something?’ The girl working the front desk chided Ouyang Ya inwardly.
Fu Zhi was not aware of the girl’s inner thoughts. She just glanced at Ouyang Ya indifferently and said, “I beat her? Did anybody see it?”
She turned to Wu Zhiheng and asked, “Did you see it?”
Wu Zhiheng was stunned for a short moment when Fu Zhi asked him this question and got lost in thought.
The scene of Chen Shan getting beaten by Fu Zhi was still vividly clear in his mind. Ouyang Ya did not seem like someone who would fight with Fu Zhi in public, not to mention that he still had not found out the relations.h.i.+p between this restaurant and Fu Zhi.
Wu Zhiheng did not have anyone to back him up and, considering how strong she was, he was no match for Fu Zhi. Besides, Fu Zhi was not alone. He took a look at Ye Jiu and his gang and realized that regardless of whether this was a group fight or a one-on-one fight, he had no chance of winning at all.
“Nope! I’m blind! I didn’t see anything and I don’t know anything, so don’t ask me!” Wu Zhiheng said as he shook his head profusely.
Ouyang Ya’s face turned dark.
Mu Chenxi covered her jaw with her hand, and her eyes were filled with tears.
At the same time, the lobby manager came out of the kitchen. When he saw the scene, he nearly tripped and fell down. “What is going on here? Did something happen, Ms. Fu? Why is she holding her jaw, and who is she? She looks really scary…”
Mu Chenxi took a glance at the lobby manager and let out an “ah” as if she was telling him that she was Mu Chenxi, Fu Zhi’s archenemy.
The lobby manager, who was stumped, was left speechless.
Although Ouyang Ya found the manager’s att.i.tude a bit strange, she did not think too much about it, or perhaps she was not in the mood to think so much. Since Fu Zhi was being uncooperative, she turned to the manager and said, “Look, this happened in your restaurant, so as the manager, don’t you think you should do something about it?”
“How do you want me to deal with it?” the manager asked.
“Well, I admit that my friend might have mentioned something not very pleasant, but that’s no reason for her to beat her. Besides, look at her. I brought her here for a meal, and this happened instead. Her jaw had been dislocated, and she can’t enjoy the food in your restaurant, so don’t you think we shouldn’t let her suffer alone?” Ouyang Ya said implicitly.
Honestly, Ouyang Ya wanted nothing to do with Mu Chenxi either. This was because Mu Chenxi was not a mere idiot. She was also someone who liked to dig her own grave. However, since Mu Chenxi was the only person who could get in touch with Siren, Ouyang Ya had no other choice but to step forward and help her.
“We shouldn’t let her suffer alone? Alright, I get it.” The manager nodded and said in understanding, “So you want to share her pain, right? Well, I do have a pair of crafty hands. Although I couldn’t bring the dead back to life or make dried bones grow flesh, dislocating your jaw should be a piece of cake for me.”
Ouyang Ya’s face sank when she heard what the manager had said. She had been having a weird feeling about Fu Zhi ever since she’d encountered her. It seemed to her that Fu Zhi had the special power to make everyone her lickspittle, including this lobby manager. No matter what she did or said, they would not say a word and they would accept it without any qualms.
Although she was very frustrated right now, Ouyang Ya did not wish to summon the police for such a trivial matter. Not only that, but they had caused quite a commotion, and many people started looking at them after the manager appeared. Most of them were members of the upper social cla.s.s of Yu City, and Ouyang Ya did not want to become a laughing stock among them. Besides, even if she called the police, she could imagine what Fu Zhi would say to defend herself.
After considering all the pros and cons, Ouyang Ya said, pinching the spot between her eyebrows, “Forget about it.”
Then, she approached Mu Chenxi and grabbed her jaw. Just as she was about to help her snap her jaw back into place, she tripped over her own feet and staggered. However, she managed to regain her balance right before falling on the floor.
She heaved a sigh of relief and then looked up. Mu Chenxi was looking at her with teary eyes, and she realized that the condition of Mu Chenxi’s jaw had become even worse. She cleared her throat to hide her embarra.s.sment and said, “I’m sorry. Let’s try one more time.”
Fu Zhi did not know what to say. She did not want to have anything to do with them, so she turned around and went back to her seat.
At the same time, Wu Zhiheng gruntled and felt a little pain in his jaw.
“Are you sure you could do it? Why don’t we bring her to the hospital instead?” He pitched his voice low as he asked this.
However, Ouyang Ya did not say anything. She mustered up all the strength in her hand and pushed Mu Chenxi’s jaw. A crack was heard, and Mu Chenxi’s jaw snapped back into place.
Although Mu Chenxi wanted to cry right now, upon realizing people’s gazes were on her, she swallowed her tears back to her stomach pit and lifted her chin triumphantly.
“Let’s go eat!”
After all, they were there to relax and have some fun, so there was no reason for them to cancel their plans.
—
Most of the dishes had been finished by the time Fu Zhi went back to her seat. Everyone was listening to Lu Yumo’s sad story, and when they saw her, they asked, “What took you so long?”
Fu Zhi put a spoonful of corn into her bowl. As she was eating, she said, “I just gave someone a chiropractic treatment.”
“Who was it? Do you know them?” Song Fang asked as he handed a box of milk to her.
“Mu Chenxi.”
Song Fang was speechless.
Then, he glanced in the direction of the door. At that moment, Mu Chenxi and Ouyang Ya were walking toward Wu Zhiyou’s table.
Song Fang let out a sigh, as he knew that nothing good would happen when Mu Chenxi appeared along with Ouyang Ya.
At the same time, Mu Chenxi felt that she must have been graced by the G.o.d of misfortune today. Not only had she b.u.mped into Fu Zhi, but Fu Zhi had also beaten her and humiliated her in front of everyone.
Wu Zhiyou lost all her appet.i.te upon seeing Mu Chenxi and Ouyang Ya. She threw her chopsticks on the table and snarled, “All of us here are from Hang Yuan, so what the h.e.l.l is she, a student from No.1 High School, doing here?”
“Mind your manners, Zhiyou,” Wu Zhiheng said. “Chenxi is here to help us a.n.a.lyze the overall strength of No.1 High School.”
“Oh,” Wu Zhiyou replied. “So she’s a f*cking traitor!”
“Zhiyou!”
Wu Zhiheng looked apologetically at Mu Chenxi.
They were basically on the same s.h.i.+p right now. The Wu Family had invested quite a lot of money into the Mu Family’s movie, so he did not want to make their relations.h.i.+p awkward.
Mu Chenxi took a deep breath and smiled at Wu Zhiheng. Then, she turned to Ouyang Ya and said, “Ms. Ouyang, about what I said earlier… I’ve told my master about it, but she’s busy at the moment, so she can’t help you locate the shop owner for now.”
