Chapter 159: The New School Belle
Dong Cun realized something was wrong. Fu Zhi was a girl from the countryside. She had not received high-quality education before, and there was no way she could have come across so many famous people in her life. However, not only was Old Master Sun amazed by her abnormally high intelligence, but so was Han Wei.
Therefore, he began to wonder why He Ming had to come to Yu City to pick his disciple. There were so many high schools in the capital, so why could he not do it there?
He Ming claimed he had chosen Yu City because he wanted to help the poor, but that did not seem to be the case in Dong Cun’s opinion.
Fu Zhi looked over at her family in the car. She tapped a few times on her phone to reply to a message before raising her head. Then, she said flatly, “We have a teacher-student relations.h.i.+p.”
Dong Cun’s expression changed.
The garden outside the Lu Household was quiet.
He set his jaw tightly and did not say anything else. His eyes were fixed on Fu Zhi, and he did not look away even after she hopped in the car.
The car was getting smaller and smaller in his eyes. He gripped his key firmly as his eyes slowly turned cold.
Lu Ning emerged from the living hall and asked, “Where is Zhizhi? Did you tell her about seeing Professor He?”
“That’s not necessary,” Dong Cun replied, his face getting darker by each pa.s.sing second.
He had run a thorough background check on Professor He prior to this. All of Professor He’s disciples were ill.u.s.trious personages in different industries. Therefore, there was no way he had never heard of Fu Zhi before.
Perhaps the two of them had b.u.mped into each other when He Ming had come to Yu City last year. He did not know for sure, but when he’d heard Fu Zhi’s reply, he had felt as if she was treating him like a fool. The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. He turned to Lu Ning and snarled, “She’s nothing but a liar. There’s no way she can help us.”
Dong Cun thought he and Lu Ning were on the same side, but it seemed like that was not the case.
Eye-widened, Lu Ning shouted at him, “Are you out of your mind?”
She paused for a moment before adding, “Do you think my niece is stupid enough to tell you a lie that can be discovered easily?”
Dong Cun objected. “Why not? She told me a pack of lies!”
“And how do you know that? Zhizhi is just a girl. How can you harbor so much malice for her?”
“It’s because she’s a bad girl!”
“Alright then!” Lu Ning unfastened her seatbelt. She did not want to talk to Dong Cun anymore, so she said, “Let’s split up. I can’t stand your backward way of thinking, so I don’t want to talk to you anymore!”
Even though she did not want to have anything to do with the Lu Family, she liked Fu Zhi very much. Thus, she would not allow anyone, including Dong Cun, to badmouth her.

The next day was a Tuesday.
Fu Zhi went back to her seat while everyone watched her.
Before long, Lu Yubai followed Song Fang to Cla.s.s 21.
He leaned against Fu Zhi’s seat, dug his hand into his pocket, and fished out a heap of candy. Then, he gave the candy to the girl and said, “Are you free this Sat.u.r.day? Let’s go have fun at the amus.e.m.e.nt park.”
Just as Fu Zhi was about to reject his invitation, he frowned and turned to Song Fang. “Why are there so many people out there?”
“They are all here to see your cousin,” Song Fang said as he handed a phone to him. “Look at it yourself. Your cousin has been nominated as the new school belle.”
Lu Yubai turned his head to look at the phone.
#Fu Zhi, the G.o.ddess with ethereal beauty#
The post consisted of 800 words, and the entire content was about how beautiful Fu Zhi was. There was even a photo of her at the end of the post.
It was a photo of a rainy afternoon in an asphalt-paved alley. The young girl was carrying a white bunny bag and holding a cup of bubble tea. Her exposed arm was fair and white.
She stood under an oil-paper umbrella. One of her eyes was slightly tilted up, and her face was expressionless.
It was an eye-pleasing photo.
