"First of all, the Fallens are free to leave now.".
There after, Miro took little Na.s.sus's hand. Miro told Otorine and Yumine that they'll be returning back to Mai's cozy inn for the time being. Then, the two Fallens left the place. It appeared that Mara doesn't want the Fallens to hear the sensitive and crucial matters that would spark doubts. The deafening silence took longer than expected, as Mara didn't t speak for a while. It seemed that she was about to give a lecture to the Blade G.o.ddesses and hero G.o.ds. Although, Mara just sighed and she said straight,
"You have finished your mission, that's the only thing I could say...Now please leave.".
Later on, they left the meeting room. Aron and Senku left their seperate ways and they gave a cool waving goodbye to the two Blade G.o.ddesses. Otorine and Yumine took a cup of iced coffee from the vending machine nearby. Afterwards, they entered the elevator. While they were inside the elevator hub, Otorine expressed her deepest worry and concerns in a very low tone,
"She's not that much pleased...".
Yumine took a sip of her cold coffee and replied back,
"I could say the same Ori...".
Yumine took another sip and said her sentiments, while she was looking at her friend,
"I mean...she didn't even mention Shunya's current condition.".
Otorine nodded,
"I agree Yumi...Although, she might have other crucial reasons on why she haven't said anything about Shunya.".
Yumine looked dubious and irritated, as she said straight to Otorine's face,
"Ya know what Ori? I think you put a lot of trust on Mara.".
"I see.",
Otorine responded. Thereon, Otorine closed her eyes and made a guessing gesture, while she was engrossed in her thoughts,
"So I guess I'm not the only one doubting Head Blade G.o.ddess Mara's decisions and actions then. Although, I don't care much about that, since I just need to capture those Fallens...No matter what it takes...".
"DING!",
they heard the elevator bell. Then, the metal doors opened, as they arrived at their destined floor. Otorine had stopped doing her gestures. She opened her eyes and the two of them left the elevator. They were now traversing along the bright and full of life hallways of Celestia Heavenly mall. Soon, Yumine suggested something,
"By the way, wanna hit the bar again, Ori?".
Otorine agreed,
"Okay...".
Sooner or later, they arrived at the entrance of Ru's bar. Though, as they entered, they've noticed that the lights were less and dim. Morever, there were only a few people who were sitting at the s.p.a.cious couch nearby. Namely, these people were: Lilieth, Ru, and Mai. It looked-like the place had an atmosphere of intrigue and suspicion, as the modern lights were dimmed yellow. As Ru took notice of Yumine and Otorine, she hollered at them,
"Oh it's you two...please do come in and join us!".
Yumine and Otorine joined-in the conversation and sat on the sofa as well. Yumine was filled with questionable doubt,
"Ummmm...what's this all about Lilieth, Ru, and Mai?".
Lilieth sighed filled with worry,
"It's about Shunya's drastic change at Ieva's world...".
Soon enough, Ru turned on the flatscreen tv. Thereupon, it was showing a clear video of Shunya going insane, seeping herself in the abyssal darkness at a frozen underground tunnel. It seemed, Otorine and her company's expedition was still being watched by the divine people of Celestia Heavens. Lilieth held her hands and told complacently,
"What can you say about this...Blade G.o.ddess Mai? Since, you and Ru are the ones investigating on this case, behind the scenes."
It seemed Mai and Ru were the Blade G.o.ddesses, who were given the privilege to a.n.a.lyze this puzzling case using their wits and senses. Mai expressed her opinions,
"It looked-like she was fighting someone's mind-control over her...".
Ru added with a saddened look,
"Sadly, the mind control over her was too strong...Thus, the one who wants who control her mind could be...ANOTHER G.o.d OR G.o.dDESS...".
Yumine joined the conversation,
"So it's similar of what happened to Ori, during the time she was at the Fallens prison?".
Lilieth replied,
"Not quite...since, Ori didn't suffer like Shunya did. Rather, it seemed those two are separate cases...".
Then, Mai said,
"But these separate cases still can be mixed into one case...".
Ru expressed her opinions with an irritated look,
"So someone's trying to divert our attentions on the previous case using another tactic? That's so underhanded!".
Otorine agreed,
"Most likely...".
Lilieth looked at Yumine and Otorine straight. Then, she said calmly, while she was holding both of their hands.
"I'll just tell this to both of you, Yumi and Ori. Please do be careful, we don't know who we're up against here...or what's his/her real motive.".
Compared to head Blade G.o.ddess Mara's insensitive and cold statements, Vice Blade G.o.ddess Lilieth's statements were filled with deep concern for her subordinates. Honestly, Lilieth should have been their leader. As Yumine and Otorine heard and witnessed Lilieth's motivational words and expression, they were filled with a glimpse of hope. Otorine smiled and she replied composedly,
"I see, thanks for the advice, Vice Blade G.o.ddess Lilieth...".
Lilieth looked pleased but, her eyebrows were twitching,
"Really, don't mention it...I'm just doing my role as a fellow Blade G.o.ddess companion. Also, can you please stop with the formalities? You're so uptight and serious ya know!".
Yumine agreed with Lilieth's statement,
"Yeah! Loosen up a little Ori!".
Afterwards, Yumine turned to look at Lilieth. Then, Yumine told something intriguing,
"Oh I think I should tell you this but, we've found your NOT SO COOPERATIVE twin sister Liliath again...".
She touched her lip, while she was looking above the clouds,
"I think her name was, Liliath?".
As Lilieth heard the name of her twin sister again, Lilieth looked stressed, as she put her hand on her forehead. Next, she told them with an uninteresting yet, frustrated tone, while she was looking away,
"Her again huh...So could you tell me of what was she doing there exactly? There's not much footages of her being alone there...".
It appeared that the prime focus of Celestia Heavens were only Otorine and her company's expedition who were jumping through different worlds. While, the other deities, heroes, and heroines at Celestia Heavens were just watching them as a piece of unusual entertainment. In turn, Liliath's own actions weren't shown on the video. Lilieth looked kinda puzzled, as she asked,
"So could you tell me on what was she doing there exactly?".
Yumine took a deep breathe and explained in brief,
"Okay...first, she suddenly appeared at a certain underground magic lab in Blissia in which me and Miro were at. After that, your twin sister just told us about DISTORTED G.o.dDESSES. Then, she just vanished and went elsewhere. Soon enough, Ori and the others catched up to us.".
Otorine nodded, as she agreed with Yumine's statements, concerning about her and her companions reunion with Yumine and Miro. As Lilieth heard Yumine's short story about the past incident, her look turned dark and cold filled with negative vibes. Soon, she stood up and said her farewells to her Blade G.o.ddess companions,
"Sorry I gotta go. Also, thanks for telling me about the whereabouts of my twin sister...".
Though, before she left, she thought of something first. She brought out black microchips with golden strips around it. Then, she gave them to her fellow G.o.ddess companions,
"Here are some things about DISTORTION...if ever y'all want to understand more about it. Thus, it'll help y'all on what you're up against, especially the DISTORTED G.o.dDESSES.".
As Otorine, Ru, Mai, and Yumine accepted Lilieth's offers, Lilieth left the bar while she was looking problematic. While for Ru, she was astunned over Lilieth's sudden exit,
"That was...awkward?".
Suddenly, Otorine's stomach made a soft growl. There after, Yumine teased her friend,
"Really Ori, you're so quiet yet, your stomach is so noisy...".
The mysterious and intriguing vibes had gone down the drain, as they had stopped brainstorming about the previous cases. Otorine asked Ru afterwards,
"Y-yeah...err, Ru can we order now?".
Ru replied with a friendly smile,
"Sure, so what will it be?".
Otorine responded back immediately,
"I'm gonna have the flying fish panna cota...".
Mai looked absurd and disgusted, as she heard another gruesome dish from whatever world it came from. Thankfully and quite sadly, Otorine didn't notice Mai's look filled with disgust. Ru just nodded and she s.h.i.+fted her look at Yumine,
"What about you, Yumi?".
Yumine told her order with a pleasing look on her face,
"I'll get the well-done elderianite dragon steak.".
Ru replied back filled with pity for Yumine,
"Oh sorry about that Yumi...it's not available now...".
Yumine pouted with an irritated look and crossed her arms, as she was displeased,
"Awww phooey! Then, I'll just have the one hundred one percent beef steak.".
"Okay got it!",
Ru replied. As Ru got their orders, she stood up. Although, before Ru went away, Mai patted Ru's shoulder as she was filled with curiousity. Since, she heard something dubious about Ru's reply, regarding the unavailable dish,
"Just a moment Ru, I thought you had a customer who ordered an elderianite dragon steak recently...".
Ru made a forced smile and she put her finger on her lips,
"Oh that...well—.".
Afterwards, Ru told them with detailed imagery of what's happening to her beloved Zeran during the current time while he was away.
In a certain vast plains that gleamed of emerald gemstones, Zeran was fighting a collosal elderianite dragon. A kind of mythical creature that was a 4-legged reptile that had a tail made out of gla.s.s fragments. A menace that had polished claws and wings made out of prismatic crystals, while it has the face of an aggressive lion with diamond fangs. In turn, it looked-like a majestic dragon from another dimension. The dragon's scales looked durable and thick but, it had wounds and scratches, since it had been fighting Zeran for a while now. While for the case of Zeran, he was filled with bruises and scratches. Although, the match was already decided, since the dragon was exhausted. Zeran put his blade behind his back Then, he made a cool yet, devious look,
"Hah! How do you like 'em apples, you freaking reptile...".
Soon, Ru had stopped describing of what her husband was doing. Thereon, Mai nodded with a convinced look,
"Oh I see...yeah, even the groceries are sold out too...".
It seemed that majority of their ingredients were just being bought through other shops. Although, this time around, they had to do it the old-fas.h.i.+oned way of procuring ingredients. Thus, Zeran had to fight a ridiculous dragon. Soon, Yumine guessed something out,
"Maybe it's the upcoming—."
Although Otorine was the one who said it,
"Dragonyx Festival...".
