The Forgotten Royal 11 Stay By Your Side

"... She is fine. Nothing was damaged, so there is no need for surgery. The reason for such thing is the fact that you were able to save her before things got worse."

"Why, thank G.o.d she'll be okay. I was worried sick. Yeah, I might have met her almost a day ago... but still..."

"In the meantime, she will stay with us for maybe a week. You are able to stay with her if you like."

"Alright."

The sound of a door closing gave me courage to open my eyes. Looking around slightly, I realized that i was at the hospital... again. Letting out a sigh, i look to my side and see the same guy I b.u.mped into.

"How do you feel? Do you need anything?" He asked once we made eye contact.

Smiling small, I answer softly, "I feel nothing right now. Maybe later, I'll start feeling the pain. And no, I'm fine."

"Alright then. By the way, I'm Dmitry s.h.i.+ern.o.ble."

"I'm Jewel. Jewel Mia."

"It's a pleasure to meet you properly of course."

"Hehe, whatever!!"

"Hehe."

Sighing small, I try to sit up but fails terribly. A sharp pain stops me from doing so. Laying back down carefully, I look towards the window as I try to surpa.s.s the feeling of whimpering.

I was able to feel Dmitry's worried stare. He knew something was wrong. That just means I won't be able to hide anything from him. Looking at him, I smile small.

"Are... you okay?" He asked.

Nodding small, I try my best to give him a rea.s.suring smile. "Yeah! I am, don't worry much."

Dmitry just gives me a unconvinced look and stays quiet. Looking away, I mentally curse myself for lying to him. I felt so guilty for doing so. Why?... I don't know...

"So, are you planning on staying here? Won't you get tired or bored?" I asked.

"Yeah, i am planning on staying here. And yea i might get tired, but not bored." He answered.

"That... isn't really necessary. I'll be fine. There are going to be plenty of doctors and nurses who will keep an eye on me."

"Jewel, as long as you are here, I am going to stay by your side."

I felt my face heating up quickly as well as my heart rate speeding up. Looking at him, I give him a warm smile.

"Alright, don't blame me if you do end up getting bored."

"Heh, I won't. Don't worry about it." Dmitry gives me a loving smile. "Now, sleep. That way you can recover quicker."

"Quicker?"

"Well, do you want to stay here longer than a week?"

"... heck no!!"

"Okay, now rest. The day you are released, I'll treat you out."

"Um, o-okay."

Dmitry gently pats my head before checking his phone. Smiling small, I look at the ceiling for a few seconds before closing my eyes, letting sleep to take over.
