January 25. I hadn't gotten a lot of time to visit the orphanage, so we had planned to take a trip after my graduation.

I had spent all my time studying. I would write notes in my little book and read it when I had time. When I did my s.h.i.+ft at the convenience store, I mopped and broomed while reading my notes.

Everyone used up all their time studying.

On Friday, our homeroom teacher gave us a career sheet. It asked what we wanted to be and why?

I filled it out right away.

"Detective, I choose to become a detective because it runs in the family and, it's an intriguing topic," I wrote.

"Detective, that a nice one," said Jin-Young.

I looked at him, then at his sheet.

"Forensic Scientist," I said.

I then smiled at him.

"Your serious right?" I said.

He nodded with a serious face.

"Cool then," I said.

After that month ended. We took the tests.

On February 16, I would graduate.

After the ceremony, I saw my sister. I ran to her and hugged her.

She handed me a bouquet.

"Congratulations," She told me with a smile.

When I looked at the flowers it was, Daffodil.

"Where is that Jin-Young boy?" She asked while looking around.

"He's rig..." I was saying but he was already shaking her hand.

"Nice to meet you noona," He said.

My sister looked at him closely. Then she said, "Nice to meet you, thank you for taking care of my sister."

Then they talked when I ran to meet my friend's parents.

We all kept in contact and had plans to meet up and, hangout after graduation.

We met up and, went to Lotte World then we watched movies and had a lot of fun.

Then on February 24, my sister and I took the bus, to the orphanage.

When we got there the place looked cozy.

We went inside and the lady led us to a room.

Another lady came out but she looked really old.

"Nice to meet you, Miss Lee," said my sister while shaking the old lady's hand.

Later it was just the three of us.

"It's good you came on time," She said.

"I don't really like waiting," She said again.

"Of course," said my sister.

"Okay let's get to business, you and your brother were test subjects, your birth parents did tests on you and, made you different from the rests," She said.

"By different what do you mean?" I asked.

"Higher IQ, better physical and much more that I don't know of," She said.

"Oh and also, here," She said and handed Jen a letter.

"I still remember you," She told Jen while smiling.

"Anything else?" She asked.

"One more thing," said Jen, then she told me to wait outside.

I got up and left. I waited for them in the hallway.

A lady approached me and gave me water.

About 20 minutes later she came out. We thanked them and left.

While walking to the bus stop, I looked at her. She looked troubled and sad.

I then stopped. She looked back at me and, said: "What's wrong?"

"I-I am sorry," I said.

"I am sorry that I couldn't be the perfect sister," I told her.

Instead of saying something she walked away.

I was glad because I almost told her.

The whole way back she didn't talk.

When I got home, I couldn't stop thinking about what the lady had said.

What type of test subjects were they? Were they tortured?

Now I know why she was loved so much. If only I knew earlier.

My phone rang.

"Did you do it?" I said.

"Not yet, but I found some information," said the caller.

"Okay, what's up?" I said.

"It's related to your sister," said the caller.

My heart started beating fast.

"It's kinda hard to explain, so let's meet up."

"Alright, I am coming over," I said.

I grabbed my coat and headed out the door.

I grabbed a taxi.

When I got to his house, he pulled me and showed me doc.u.ments.

"These right here are doc.u.ments proving she had been a test subject," said the person.

"I know, what else?" I said.

"I found photos."

He changed the tab and showed the picture.

"Oh my G.o.d," I said.

"Is that Jen?" I said and they nodded.

"I did facial recognition and it's her," said the person.

"are you sure?" I said and they nodded.

Jen was in a tub, with a pipe attached to her mouth, and the other pictures showed her chained and beaten up.

"This is insane," I said.

"I also found this," the stranger said.

I looked at it and almost lost it.

This can't be true.

I changed the tab and saw something gross but sad.

"You can't tell anyone," I said.

They nodded and asked, "What is she though?"

"I have no clue," I said.

"But it's not something normal."
