The sun brought rays of suns.h.i.+ne that refreshed one's mind. Everything came to life as the darkness of the night was washed away by the holy rays of the sun.
"Cuck!"
The glowing chickens below immediately began to cuck away as soon as they awakened. Spring-Autumn felt his wrinkled hand and pondered before grabbing his [Attribute Cloak]. The cloak transformed into a rope which he used to fling one chicken up.
"Cuk! Cuck!"
The glowing chicken was about the size of a regular chicken. It cucked angrily when it was flung back into its nest. Spring-Autumn did not think too much before reaching his hands out to snap its neck.
Crack!
"Breakfast." Spring-Autumn muttered. He felt exceptionally weak having aged so much in a single night and the process was not over yet.
He took out a set of pots and pans from his cloak. It was time to begin cooking. Soaking the chicken in hot water to defeather. The feathers continued to glow bright even after it was defeathered from the chicken. Draining the blood, cleaning the organs. It was a slow, yet relaxing process. Spring-Autumn smiled to himself.
For some strange reason, after draining the blood out the nest, the glowing chickens below stopped making noise.
Below, the glowing chickens were terrified. "That's the blood of my brother!" They conversed in chicken.
"Hide the youngins!"
"Be quiet! He's going to eat us if he looks over this way,"
A while later, a wonderful smell wafted out the nest. Spring-Autumn ended up slow-cooking the chicken with various herbs.
Rosemary, star anise, tyme, and a random gra.s.s that came with the new world for experimentation purposes.
The smell of the wood ended up waking Rainmist who had a good beauty sleep. Her first reaction to Spring-Autumn's aged appearance was expected. She woke up expecting a handsome young man. What she saw was different than what she expected.
"Ah! Creepy old man!" She screamed while wrapping her fine body in her blanket.
Spring-Autumn could only chuckle and scratch his head. "It's me,"
That got Rainmist to stare at him blankly for a few seconds before she asked worriedly, "What happened to you?"
"It's what young people nowadays call ability rejection," Spring-Autumn made something up.
"Are you going to be okay?"
"Don't worry, I won't be bald," Spring-Autumn rea.s.sured her.
"That's not what I was asking," She sighed. However, his response was enough to tell her that he was fine.
"Come, let's eat,"
Despite having the appearance of someone approaching close to their death now, Spring-Autumn kept his ramrod straight back. In his double breasted jacket, he appeared closer to a butler than a lover when serving to the young and beautiful Rainmist.
"Look who's older now," Spring-Autumn laughed smugly.
"It's so hard to be young and beautiful," Rainmist sighed sarcastically in return.
The meat of the glowing chicken was delicious as expected. Mutated animals were always more delicious than their original counterpart. The meat was tender and juicy despite having gone through no marination or tenderization. It made one wonder how good these meats could taste when properly cooked by a certified cook. The chicken flavor was so intense that one could almost see a chicken as they chewed on the meat. It was a new flavor that came with the meats of the new world.
The breakfast was quickly finished. One would usually have a lighter meal for breakfast but a stronger body required more nutrition. While Rainmist did not engage in any fighting at all, her body has been reinforced multiple times through eating nutritious food.
Spring-Autumn transformed his cloak into that of a glider and together, they flew off from the nest like birds taking flight.
The sc.r.a.ps of the chicken they ate was left on the nest. With no one left on the nest, a bird flew down from the tree and began to feast on the sc.r.a.ps.
A little glowing chicken from below the tree saw this tree and whispered in chicken, "Dad, isn't that cannibalism?"
Daddy glowing chicken wiped his tears with his glowing feathers, "My brother…"
Meanwhile, in an unknown dungeon.
There was a young man donned in an orange monk rope. His head was waxed bald and impressively s.h.i.+ny. His feet were bare and he held a long wooden staff in hand.
The dungeon was dark. It had the appearance of a long corridor made out of a green-tinge stone. There were several torches throughout the corridor that lit up a blue light.
"So this is the third floor," The young monk observed.
There were several tears in his rope that revealed his unscathed muscular body.
"The amount of sins here is too intense," He shook his head. His eyes glowed a self-righteous radiance.
He began to walk through the corridor. The only sound that was present was the sound of his footsteps.
A wind blew by, yet, there was no wind. The blue torches moved like there was intense wind.
"So you have appeared." The monk said. "Reveal yourself!"
He smashed his wooden staff against the dark floor. A magic circle appeared around him that shone a bright holy light.
The light disappeared to reveal the monsters of the third floor. There were several transparent humans that appeared. There was only suffering on their faces. They were ghosts.
"You all have suffered too much," The monk sighed. "I will rid you of your sufferings!"
He had to fear. He had nothing to fear. His only goal in life was to vanquish evil!
