Spring-Autumn and Rainmist arrived at the last standing shop in the destroyed alleyway. Today was the day his suit would be completed. It was the day he would formally receive Rainmist's gift.
Even after two fittings, Spring-Autumn only managed to figure out the structure, but not the details. As such, he was just as excited as Rainmist to come view the finished product.
Ding~
They entered through the aged door made out of dark mahogany. The old man was already waiting for them.
"Come, come,"
As usual, the old man dragged Spring-Autumn over. He looked over to Rainmist and said, "Should I tell the lad now?"
Rainmist smiled and said, "Let him put it on first and you can talk,"
"Aren't you a patient one," The old man snickered. "Get into the changing room!"
The old man, Utys, pushed Spring-Autumn into the changing room.
Spring-Autumn could only sigh and let Utys push him around. If he resisted, he would accidentally turn the old man into meat paste and that would not be very good.
With Spring-Autumn in the changing room, the old man and Rainmist waited patiently. Today, Rainmist was wearing a fitted linen dress in the spirit of spring. It was beige in color with the skirt hovering just slightly above the knee. A belt was fastened around her narrow waist, emphasizing her large b.r.e.a.s.t.s that could not be hidden by the loose top.
Utys stood at the side. He was wearing a mid-gray suit with a structured shoulder today, most likely crafted by himself. Utys's skills as a craftsman could be seen in the little details that are constructed in the garment he was wearing.
In a short while, Spring-Autumn emerged from the changing room. The sight of him in a perfectly crafted suit along with his handsome features was enough to dazzle any woman.
The old man dragged Spring-Autumn over to the mirror.
"I look more das.h.i.+ng than usual," Spring-Autumn said.
"I did a pretty good job," Utys grinned in satisfaction. "The design is chosen by your lady. It's a light gray double-breasted suit with a standard 6x2 configuration. The shoulders are unstructured in my style and the lapels are very wide,"
Utys ran his hands through Spring-Autumn's lapels as he said.
"Patch pockets to continue with the casual theme. Pants are single pleated and cuffed according to your lady. It looks quite flattering on a tall man like you. Leg holes are also 14 inches as specified."
"According to her, it's fine to make this suit casual because there probably won't be any more formal events in this world…" Utys stopped mid-sentence before laughing.
Rainmist laughed at the side and joined in, "Spring-Autumn, refres.h.i.+ng like the spring breeze and free like the autumn leaves. That's what I had in mind when I was talking to Utys about the design,"
Spring-Autumn smiled and said, "Thank you for this gift. I appreciate it,"
"It's nothing,"
At this moment, the [Attribute Cloak] at the corner of the room trembled and returned to Spring-Autumn's body. It did a little spin before merging with his current garments. "This way, it will be everlasting,"
Spring-Autumn said. He reinforced Rainmist's gift by merging it with the [Attribute Cloak]. Even though they were not romantically connected, he was still touched by her gift and will hold it in high value.
In the mirror was a man with fair hair and green eyes. His features were chiseled and handsome to the max. Wearing the gray double-breasted suit and a knit green tie, he was very das.h.i.+ng. A messy pocket square was stuffed in his pocket.
Ding!
The door opened and a young man walked in. His head was full of black hair and his eyes were like that of a dead fish. It was Dam, the artifact maker.
The old man started to yell. "You little brat! Finally want to come home, huh?"
Dam was startled at the old man's voice. He thought the old man wasn't around. "Uh, haha," He laughed awkwardly. His eyes darted around before landing on Spring-Autumn.
The sight of Spring-Autumn casually slaughtering lizard people in cold blood was engraved into his mind. He could remember the scene of the lizard people dying before they could even scream. One by one, they were decapitated. The numbers of headless corpses continued to pile. Lizard heads rolled across the ground...
"Ah! Demon!" Dam scrambled to the wall.
Utys was enraged. "Little brat! How dare you treat our customer like that!"
Meanwhile, Spring-Autumn thought this scene was really interesting. The man who was supposed to become the supposed [Divine Artifact Master] turned out to be a little coward?
"Your grandson?" Rainmist chuckled and said.
The old man sighed, "My apologies for this,"
"We don't mind," Rainmist continued to chuckle. It seemed she was very amused that someone would scream "Ah! Demon!" at the sight of Spring-Autumn.
Spring-Autumn walked over to Dam who was on his b.u.t.t with his back to the wall and squatted down.
"Hey, you,"
Dam's face paled. "Yes?"
"You can make stuff, right?"
"If you pay me…" Dam said slowly.
Spring-Autumn couldn't help but laugh at this response. Does his greed triumph over his fears? At the same time, he thought, "Did I save him for nothing? Where's the sense of grat.i.tude?"
Dam noticed this silence and thought Spring-Autumn's green eyes were looking a little cold. "W-well, because you did save me, if you provide the materials I will provide my service free of charge,"
Dam's words dragged Spring-Autumn back to reality. He grinned and said, "Oh, isn't that convenient? Very good." Spring-Autumn stood back up and called over to Rainmist, "Let's go,"
"Okay!" Rainmist hugged Spring-Autumn's arm and together, they left.
