They went inside the gate and Naga saw a lot of dragon statues and pavillions with pillars made of different materials.
"A great place." Naga was stunned. The statues and pavillions were already ruined but he can still feel the powerful magic presence within.
"Indeed." Hextor smiled.
He continued, "After getting the door, you can stay here and do your training before you leave. This is good for your ancient and pure dragon mana."
"How about you?" Naga looked at Hextor and asked.
"Well, I don't know yet. I was supposed to guard the door but years ago I received a divine message from my ancestors that my clan's mission is already finished." Hextor calmly looked at the huge temple door and closed his eyes.
The door opened and it exuded strong magical presence. The whole city was shaken and the environment's aura became heavy. Naga was shocked and he generated his dragon mana reserve to stabilize his condition.
"Relax, Naga. This is the presence of the Dragon Priestess. This will restrict those who don't have any dragon mana." Hextor explained and walked inside.
"You said that you are the only dragon left. Do you mean..." Naga was surprised.
"Yes. You are correct. A human." Hextor responded.
They went to a huge hall and Naga saw an old woman sitting at a throne. She was wearing a golden robe and a crown made of gold with a dragon design. Her eyes are closed but Naga can feel that she's looking at him all through out.
"Welcome." The old woman said in a low voice and smiled.
"Greetings to the respected Dragon Priestess. I apologize for my sudden visit." Naga deeply bowed and respectfully said.
"Rise. Your presence is a fortune to this old woman. You are blessed by the dragon deities of the past. With your ancient dragon mana alone, your standing is higher than mine. Even the living dragon kings can't push you around." The old woman said.
'What?!' Hextor was surprised. Naga may not know it but as a dragon himself he knows the importance of what the old priestess said.
"Hextor. Dear child." The old woman said.
"Yes!" He moved forward with great vigor and kneeled.
The old priestess smiled. "For generations, your father served our great deity. I am the one that gave your father his mission before and I'll give you a mission this time too. This is my final decree as well.
"It is our... my clan's honor, Divine Priestess. We are willing to give our life for the deity and the temple." Hextor said while kneeling.
"Good child. You are the last generation of the door's guardian but now you will be the first generation of your clan to serve the Supreme Dragon Overlord's chosen. Serve Lord Naga and protect his lineage." The old woman commanded. Her voice shook the whole city and extreme magic presence lingered in the whole realm.
"Wait! Wh.. what?!" Naga was surprised. He just needed the door, he thought.
"Yes!" Hextor shouted and stood up thwn bowed.
"Hey! Respected Priestess wa... wait." Naga wanted an explanation but he was flabbergasted when he saw that the old woman is vanis.h.i.+ng.
"Lord Naga. Her time... It is over. She will now join our dieties and great generals." Hextor said and bowed.
'What the h.e.l.l? Why do I feel like I am getting things I do not deserve. I will not be a king nor an emperor. I will live this life without any regrets and great responsibilities, you see?' Naga thought to himself. He felt helpless and he wanted to escape.
"Lord Naga, please come with me." Hextor said respectfully.
They walked deeply until they reached an underground room.
"The Draconian Heavenly Door is here." Hextor said.
"I see. Thank you." Naga said.
He was about to open the room's door when Hextor asked him, "Great Lord, are you sure that you will give the door to the church? Don't get me wrong. I know that it is a branch created by the Holy Dragon King but..."
"Don't worry. This is only a door. As part of the deal, I will deliver the door to them." He looked at Hextor and smiled.
"As you wish, Lord Naga." Hextor bowed.
Naga opened the door and entered. After that, he was transported to a different place. It was total darkness. He maintained his calmness and walked forward. He walked until he doesn't know how long it is already. He stay calmed and composed. He felt not long before that this was an s.p.a.cial realm differnt from the fragmented dragon realm. He walked calmly while training his s.p.a.cial awareness and s.p.a.ce arcane understanding. He believes that this place will be beneficial for him.
"s.p.a.ce Arcane. Different from a Dragon s.p.a.ce Art. You have two mana reserves. A 'Dual Trend', special indeed." A voice was suddenly heard by Naga.
Naga stopped walking, "This junior is named Naga. Greetings to Senior." He bowed respectfully.
"I am nothing but a remnant will of my past self." The voice said.
Naga didn't respond and just waited.
"Child, tell me. Why do you want my Draconian Heavenly Door?" The voice asked with a serious tone.
Naga bowed before answering. "I will not lie to the respected deity. This is part of my deal with the secret order created by the Holy Dragon King. I will not use the door personally."
"Holy Dragon... So he really became a Dargon King." The voice became nostalgic.
He continued after a few minutes, "I see. You got my permission. However, you should know that this may cause countless wars. You may not know how difficult it is to live through wars, child. Are you prepared?" The voice seriously asked.
'For more than five decades, wars became part of my life.' Naga thought.
He bowed, "I understand respected dragon deity. Thank you for giving me the permission. There might be great wars in the future but I will be prepared."
"Great confidence. The Supreme Overlord didn't make a mistake. Take care, young Naga." The voice said and disappeared.
Naga was transported back inside the room. It was a huge vacant s.p.a.ce with only an altar in the middle. He looked at the altar and saw a small wooden black box with nine dragons design. He picked it up and smiled.
