There was nothing wrong with it. Perfection was all Tang Gon could say about the piece of prime meat. The only thing he was now worried about was how to properly cook it as this was not any kind of rib he had ever seen.

The bone alone glistened in the dark. Sparkling off the s.h.i.+ne of its surroundings. Despite its obsidian color, it seemed to draw in all the light, casting jagged shadows in every corner of the room.

And that was with the bone being covered by a delicate juice pressed piece of red sumptuous. The contrast of the dark bone along with that of the bloodied flesh created a salivating expression on the face of Tang Gon.

Noticing the lack of necessities and other ingredients, Tang Gon went to work. First, he needed a setup to create his meals. Even though this was a cavern of sorts and there was no need for it, Tang Gon made it a requirement of his to enjoy everything to its full potential when he can.

With that said, he went outside to find some large boulders. With the tutorial done and his basic stats augmented by his summons, Tang Gon was able to meet the strengths of this world's inhabitants. That was to say everything of his increased by a considerable sum.

Searching around, he found that the rocks inside were either too small or covered in grime. But after some careful selecting outside, Tang Gon gathered 10 double palm-sized rocks near the entrance of the cave. A quick was.h.i.+ng soon followed.

After a quick was.h.i.+ng, Tang Gon grabbed the ribs and gently placed it on top of the rocks outside. He then took out a bowl from the system. Soon after, Tang Gon took out the ingredients for the dry rub. These condiments were items that he had also bought along with the purchase of ribs.

Throwing everything in, Tang Gon mixed the ingredients with his hand. A snarling growl could be heard. Not long after, yells from deep within the cave echoed out, startling all of the creatures in the nearby areas.

"SYSTEM!!!"

Something came out of the cave... Tang Gon? Yes, it was him, the idiot finally remembered that there was no flame for the meat he was going to cook. His focus earlier was entirely on how to prepare the layout and how he was going to process it. What he forgot, however, was what he was going to cook it with.

The system was just way too crafty. How dare it do this to me, giving me everything but something to cook with. Or something along that train of thought...

Lol... idiot Mc.

At this point, the system popped out another message.

[Purchase of Oceanic Flame?]

[Yes/No]

It was the same robotic tone as usual, but to Tang Gon at the moment, it felt like it was mocking him. Acting all c.o.c.ky and just randomly spouting nonsense and nonchalantly showing up at this exact moment to persuade him to purchase a flame from it.

Tang Gon was slightly disappointed that he would have to wait and personally cook the ribs, but in the end, he ultimately chose to purchase the flame. The ribs would take at most half an hour of cooking and sizzling on the flames considering its size.

[-50 Clicker Points]

50 Clicker Points quickly disappeared casing Tang Gon to suddenly freeze while getting up. He was in an awkward position, but now looking back, Tang Gon came to the realization that the system didn't mention how much the flame would cost him, and once again he didn't ask.

[Ding! Congratulations to Host 'Tang Gon' for purchasing Oceanic Flames]

Eyes wide open, mouth agape, ears high up. Complete Shock. 50 Clicker Points. One flame.

He was flabbergasted, but the previous accidental purchases did lower his shock quite a bit. But that wasn't an excuse, the system acting all sweet and naive had casually recommended the flame, and he had taken the bait, hook, line, and sinker. But how could he have known that the flame would cost him 50 points? Should have asked.

It was 50 points if he knew that, Tang Gon would rather have tried to make his own fire. How hard would that have been? But now it was too late, he was left with sc.r.a.ps of Clicker Points.

"Why don't you go rob a bank." Tang Gon mad at the system threw out a random insult.

[The system is virtuous and upright. The system will never rob a bank.]

Tang Gon was so distracted that he didn't even notice that the system had started to develop intelligence. If he wasn't careful the system might even take him over, lol.

But right now, Tang Gon was too busy throwing a mini tantrum to notice. And before he could throw an even bigger one, a surge of light entered his mind, much like the other time he accidentally purchased something.

The information surged across his mind, his body started to alter and adjust for the flame.

It felt like a thousand burning knives slowly penetrating his body from the inside out. Luckily, the pain that was starting to become too unbearable soon began to subside. Then a cool feeling rose from the pits of his body, releasing a cooling air as it moved around.

It was the new Oceanic Flame settling in. Along with it, it made Tang Gon exude a mighty deposition, making one cower from its might. This flame was truly powerful, making one feel small and insignificant in front of it.

But even then, nothing could stop Tang Gon as he tried to get a refund from customer support. To him, it didn't matter how powerful the fire was, he still believed that the system had ripped him off.

[Refunds are unavailable.] It was a single message, but it somehow confirmed Tang Gon's suspicion on the systems scheme of ripping him off.

But the no refunds was kind of expected as the flame had already adjusted to his body. There was nothing Tang Gon could do.

But since he had the flame, he might as well test it out. Twirling his finger in the air like the image shown, a small flame magically burst from the tip of his finger.

It was deep blue, and the moment it appeared, it released a chilling frost permeating through the cave. The flame caused the air in the room to grow colder. It caused the temperature in the room to jump between frigid Siberian waters back to the serene gentle springs.

The flame flickered and swayed in front of Tang Gon, causing him to feel a heavy pressure and weight about him. The aura Tang Gon emitted now gave others a sort of constricting feeling, causing others that would appear in front of him in the future to be afraid to even speak.

Putting a little more of his energy into the flame, it suddenly erupted and rose sky-high. Surprised, Tang Gon pushed his finger far away from his face. In doing so, the direction of the flame targeted the entrance of the cave, destroying the roof of the cave.

But when he didn't feel any heat, Tang Gon opened his eyes and saw the flame had diminished back to the original small flicker. A streak of burnt ground covered his surroundings. Not to mention the now-collapsed cave around.

Seeing the path of destruction, Tang Gon wanted to deck out each of his fingers with fire, but the price fo a single flame made him reconsider.

The Oceanic Flame that he purchased was one of the cheapest at 50 Clicker Points. The others like the Demonic Flames were well over thousands of Clicker Points. After some time, Tang Gon snapped back to reality. The altering of his body added with his use of the flame just made him feel hungrier.

It was time to prepare the ribs. He was gonna eat his heart out for all the clicker points the system had slyly taken away from him.

"Rumble. Rumble. Rumble."

The loud rumbling from his stomach reminded him of his hunger. Putting away the system, Tang Gon focused his whole attention on the ribs.

This time he controlled the flames to the smallest setting. He then shot a mini blast of the flame at the ribs. The ribs started sizzling after the flames landed on it.

"Sizzle."

The outside of the ribs started to spark, and the applied dry rub turned a dark red. The juices from the ribs started to flow out, causing the flames below to crackle.

A few seconds later, the ribs were done. But even with Tang Gon's experience in cooking and the heat control, the ribs were slightly charred at the end.

It still wasn't bad for his first try with the flame, but considering that the system had basically guided the whole operation, it was a little below the standards of the system.

Tang Gon would need some time to adapt to the new flame. Practice makes perfect, or less charred ribs.

"Now, for the sauce."

[-Honey Ray's Award Winning BBQ Sauce]

Tang Gon then took out the rest of the ingredients from the system.

From time to time while waiting for the flames to die down, Tang Gon would occasionally apply a dab of the award-winning sauce on the ribs.

"Mhmm, perfect."

A compelling, seducing aroma flowed out from the ribs.

Salivating, Tang Gon carefully cut up a piece sitting on top of the burnt rocks. It was perfect.

The slice separated that piece of rib from the rest. At the same time, the fragrance grew even stronger, as most of the juice and sauce was absorbed inside.

All of his Clicker Points were spent on this single meal, but if he was asked if it was worth it.

"Well, is my name Tang Gon?" No. Of course, it was not. His name was the supreme leader of all and everything.
