The family of three went directly inside the house. Zhuang Yue told the twins to go and get change and she will cook them their favorite food. The twins did as what they were told. At first, the maids are telling Zhuang Yue that they will help her but Zhuang Yue insisted on doing it herself because that's the least she could do for her children.

"Is my brother and sister-in-law already home?" Zhuang Yue asked.

"Not yet, Miss. They are still on their way home." One of the maids replied.

"I see. Okay. Make sure to tell me if they have arrived. You all can go back to what you are doing earlier. I can take care of the things here in the kitchen. Don't worry." Zhuang Yue told the maids while she was smiling.

The maids want to insist on helping her but they couldn't do anything to Zhuang Yue so they all went back to what they were doing earlier before Zhuang Yue and the twins arrived. After an hour, Zhuang Yue and the twins are already in front of the dining table. The twins' are already eating the snacks that Zhuang Yue prepared while Zhuang Yue was busy watching them eat while she was smiling.

At the same time, both Lu Cheng and Lu Rus.h.i.+ arrived home. They were greeted by the maids and was already informed of the twins and Zhuang Yue being at home so they went directly to the dining room.

"Yue'er." Lu Cheng called. Zhuang Yue turned her head and looked at her brother and sister-in-law.

"Welcome back, Cheng gege, Ru Jie." Zhuang Yue greeted while smiling. "Have you too eaten?" Zhuang Yue added.

"We already did, Yue'er. Thank you." Lu Rus.h.i.+ replied while smiling.

"I see." Zhuang Yue said and then there was a complete silence until the twins broke the silence and told them that they were done eating.

"Alright. You two go back to your room and do your a.s.signments okay?" Zhuang Yue told them. The twins nodded and went back to their room. Right now, only Zhuang Yue, Lu Cheng, and Lu Rus.h.i.+ are left in the dining room.

"Cheng gege, Ru Jie. I have something to say to you both." Zhuang Yue said and then she stood up.

"Let's talk in the study room." Lu Cheng said and then he started walking to the study room followed by Lu Rus.h.i.+ and Zhuang Yue.

Inside the study room, Lu Cheng and Lu Rus.h.i.+ were sitting side by side while Zhuang Yue was seated opposite them.

"Is it about what happened earlier involving the twins?" Lu Cheng asked.

"Yes, brother." Zhuang Yue said.

"Don't worry about that. That matter was already taken care off. I've already sorted things out." Lu Cheng said.

"What do you mean by that, Cheng gege?" Zhuang Yue asked.

"The mayor won't bother anyone from our family. The same with his wife and son, they won't make things hard for the twins anymore." Lu Rus.h.i.+ said and then she showed a meaningful smile.

"Are you two the reason why the guardian of that kid, Ying'er mentioned to me was in a panicked and quickly went back home with the mayor's son?" Zhuang Yue asked.

"What do you think?" Lu Cheng asked while grinning.

Looking at her brother and sister-in-law, Zhuang Yue suddenly let out a gentle laugh.

"You haven't changed, Cheng gege. Still the same as always. What did you do this time?" Zhuang Yue asked.

"Oh that. I just made sure that the public knows his true colors. You will know the other details when you watched the television or read a newspaper tomorrow." Lu Cheng said.

"That's why you do not need to worry about them anymore, Yue'er. Let us help you with this little things." Lu Rus.h.i.+ said while smiling.

"Thank you, Cheng gege, Ru Jie." Zhuang Yue said while smiling and then she suddenly noticed the time so she stood up.

"I need to go now. I will just inform the twins that I will be leaving already." Zhuang Yue said and then she walked towards Lu Cheng and Lu Rus.h.i.+ and suddenly hugged them both.

"I'm so thankful to have a big brother and sister like you two. Thank you for all your help." Zhuang Yue added.

Both the husband and wife hugged her back and said: "We're family so it is only natural for us to help each other, Yue'er."

Zhuang Yue didn't say anything and just nodded and then she left the study room and went to the twins' room. Right now, Lu Cheng and Lu Rus.h.i.+ were the only one left in the study room.

"So what do you plan to do next, Hubby?" Lu Rus.h.i.+ asked while getting a gla.s.s and a bottle of wine.

"I will watch him suffer. I will make sure the public knows every dirty thing he and his wife did. Of course, I won't lay a hand on their son but the public won't spare him since he was a spoiled brat and have a bad personality so let's just go with the flow." Lu Cheng said while watching the sunset from the study room's window.

Lu Rus.h.i.+ gave her husband a gla.s.s of wine and said: "Let's watch a good show then?"

"Yes. They dared to lay a hand on my nephew and niece so they should be ready for the consequences of what they did." Lu Cheng said while accepting the gla.s.s of wine Lu Rus.h.i.+ gave him.

"Of course no one can hurt our family." Lu Rus.h.i.+ said and just rested her head on Lu Cheng's shoulder. And then the husband and wife watched the sunset together.
