Incapable Dreams 31 Surprised

I sighed thinking I'd have to use my energy again.

But when we reached into the zone, I was surprised and shocked to see the evil man before me with his creepy smile.

"Y-you!" I screamed at him.

"Surprise!" He chuckled.

"Amelia, what happened?" The Empress asked.

She gasped when she saw Liam.

"H-how?" She sputtered.

"I have my ways." He said matter-of-factly.

Then without warning, he snapped his fingers and one by one, there were the vampires, the ghosts, and the zombies, appeared and surrounded us in a circle.

I chuckled to myself.

"Heh, you know I can fight them right?"

"Oh, really now?" He asked.

I didn't answer, instead I concentrated.

Trying to feel the familiar buzz.

But...

I opened my eyes.

He was in control of it.

He smiled as he noticed my realization.

"Now then." He snapped his fingers once more and I felt everything around me spinning.

It seemed like forever until I felt myself not spinning anymore and I fell.

On something soft.

I looked around me.

I was back in my dorm.

"NO!" I screamed.

I had to be dreaming.

I knew I wasn't in Zemenine anymore.

I heard the front door open and Kelly walked in.

"Oh, my G.o.d!" She said as soon as she saw me.

"You've been missing for days! Where were you?" She asked and put her arms around me.

"We filed a case of your disappearance. And the police were searching for you."

I didn't even say anything I was frozen in place.

All I could think of was that Zemenine was in danger by my father.

Come on! I thought.

I closed my eyes, thinking that if I focused hard, I might be back there again.

But nothing seemed to work.

"Hey, Amelia what happened?" Kelly asked as soon as she saw me struggling.

I gave up and looked at her.

I started crying.

"Hey, hey..."

I felt like a loser.

"Amelia... tell me." Kelly said.

I sighed and told everything to her.
