He snickered. "That's too bad! You're not that beautiful for me to do that, Kismet. So, I don't care if you'll eat or not!"
My eyebrows almost met as I looked at him. That f.u.c.king b.a.s.t.a.r.d!
"I know you're cursing me way too much in your head, baby."
"Can you please get the f.u.c.king h.e.l.l out of this room? You're way too much sore to the eyes."
"Look, who's talking? A girl that hasn't washed her face yet, don't you agree?"
Ah! Why the h.e.l.l can't I win in this f.u.c.ked up argument. I angrily pointed at the door.
"Leave!"
"As you wish, Kismet," he said. He walked to the door and spread his right hand in the hardwood.
"Ident.i.ty Accepted. You can now leave the room," said a girl that had a robotic voice.
Kean looked at me and smirked before disappearing. My jaw almost touched the ground in awe. What the f.u.c.k! So, I'll just need to cut his hand off for me to be able to get out of this room, huh? I ran my hands through my face. I am physically, emotionally and mentally exhausted. I slammed my body again in the bed. Staring at the ceiling and wondering why the h.e.l.l this was happening to me.
I closed my eyes and heaved a deep sigh. I must be productive today. I explored the whole room. There was two doors more – a walk-in closet and a comfort room. I washed my face and tied my hair again.
I stared at the food. I needed to eat. I needed the strength for me to cut off his hand to be able to get the f.u.c.king out of here. Oh! How morbid my thoughts were. I sat on the couch and started to dig in with the food. Every time Mang Domeng's face would appear in my mind, I just closed my eyes and prayed. Did someone found his body on the limousine?
I froze in the middle of my chewing when I realized something. If that sc.u.mbag Kean found me in the middle of the highway, does that mean he saw Mang Domeng's dead body, too? Ah, I needed to ask him that. How could I be so forgetful? I wonder if he will come back here.
When I finished eating, I went to the door and put my right hand at its surface. The door emitted a scanning sound and a robotic voice of a girl erupted.
"Ident.i.ty denied. You cannot get out of this room," said she.
"f.u.c.k you!" I shouted at it. These things were getting away from my hand.
I went back to the comfort room. The toiletries are all new as if he was expecting someone to be in here. I brushed my teeth and went to the walk-in closet. All clothes were feminine. He was expecting me to be here, huh?
I changed my clothes into a comfy pair of pajamas with Mickey Mouse imprints on it. I slid down the comforter and took a last glance on the plates I used when I ate. Someone will just take it out from here, right? I rolled my eyes and forced myself to sleep. Maybe, I can get out of here tomorrow.
I lost count on the days I have been stuck in this room. I also lost my hopes that maybe tomorrow I will get out of here. I did the same things over and over again. When I wake up, I will go shower then Cris – a housemaid would give me breakfast, same for lunch and dinner. Then after that, nothing – I would do nothing and it's boring the h.e.l.l out of me.
Kean also didn't show up here and I don't know why. The door screeched open and revealed the smiling face of Cris. She was 24 years old – a year younger than me.
"Hi," she greeted as she pushed the cart.
"Yeah," I said.
"How are you?"
"Not fine!"
"Well, Mr. Kean will be back from China for a business meeting this afternoon. You can say your concerns."
My eyebrow shot up. Business meeting? He was a business magnate? What would be his business? Selling organs? Oh my gos.h.!.+ Did he imprison me here to have my organs bowdlerized? Ah, stop these dark thoughts, Kara. I have to trust my dad. Yes, if he trust Kean then I am safe here – away from that killer.
Cris left the room after that and I ate irreligiously. Evening came and Kean was nowhere near my sight. Was his flight cancelled? Ah, my fingers itched to make a story. I have an unfinished novel in my laptop but I guess I can't continue that one. My laptop was on my bag and it was on the limousine. I don't even have a phone with me. The door opened and finally, it was Kean leaning on it.
My eyes shoot daggers at him. "You're finally here, huh?" I said. Bitterness was found in my voice.
"Why? Did you miss me?" He teased.
I laughed sarcastically. "Dream on! How long do I have to stay in this room? Can't I f.u.c.king get out? I am bored and I need to at least be under the sun even for five minutes. Can't you give that to me? How inconsiderate of you! Do you think I am happy to be here even if I'm safe and away from that f.u.c.ked up killer? No. What if I get depress and I will commit suicide? Can you face my dad after that?"
I ran out of breath as soon as I finished. And the f.u.c.ked up man still managed to chuckle. He walked inside and sat comfortably on the couch.
"We can have a talk about that. I can get you out of here but you also have to do one thing," he said.
My interest got high. "What?"
"You cannot step out beyond the gates."
I shrugged my shoulder. "Easy."
"Good." He stood up and went near me. "Give me your hand?"
"And why?"
"If you want to get out of here, you need to give me your hand."
I rolled my eyes and laid my hand on his palm. His calloused hand gave me a warm feeling. We walked over to the door. He rested his right hand on the door and chose the option 'register' then he placed my palm beside his. Whoa! This place is dominated by technology, I guess.
"Hand print was registered," said the robotic voice.
"All done!" he said.
"Yeah thanks! Can I also get a phone or a laptop?"
"No..."
"But I am bored!"
"I am not giving you that one, Kismet!" He said as he opened the door and left.
I let out a thin shout. Why can't he give me those? He was not that broke, wasn't he? I disoriented my hair. But I guess going out of this room was not that bad.
