I'm Really A Kpop Idol 17 Recording The Song

Minsu was taken aback hearing the question of Jun, who asked him whether Minsu didn't check his height and weight during the health check-ups on the day of Monthly-evaluations. He asked, "Hyung, what that's got to do with muscle?" Jun laughed at his ignorance and replied, "Minsu, even if you didn't check, you should have realized that I was the tallest of our group, and did you ever see me getting scolded? Wouldn't that mean I had an ideal weight range for my height? Then, how I can be too skinny?"

Only then, Minsu understood the logic, "Oh, that's true. I always thought you were too skinny with your loose t-s.h.i.+rts and you appeared that way too, Hyung. by the way, do you have abs, too?"

Jun just smiled and stayed silent. After a few seconds of silence, Jun looked at his watch and said, "go and fresh up. It's almost 6 o'clock."

Later, in the afternoon free time, Jun went to the Chairman's office, alone and knocked on the door. After getting permission to enter, Jun entered the office and bowed. YeongCheol asked, "What is it, Sungjun?" Jun replied, "Mr. Chairman, we actually have trouble with picking with our group name. I wanted the company's opinion on which one would fit us better."

Jun then took out a list and gave it to him, "these ten names are the ones we decided to go with it. So, please..." As the Chairman took the list and look at it, he nodded, "I'll have a talk with your coaches, first. They know you the best, after all." Jun bowed, "thank you, Mr, Chairman. Please excuse me." As Chairman nodded, Jun exited the office and returned to the training room, continuing their practice.

In the evening, after dinner, an Intern came to their training room and informed to go to the production department. With excitement on their faces, all of them went to meet Nam Sujin. Looking at them, she said, "tomorrow, you all will be recording the first song of your mini-alb.u.m. You can go and take rest for the day. Whether you have a college or school, skip them and be sharp at 8 o'clock. Be in your best shape."

All of them nodded, "yes." Then, she said, "Sungjun, you aren't going any university while the rest were going to either college or school, right?" Jun nodded and replied, "yes." Then, she looked at the other four and spoke, "the Chairman has given us a deadline of one month. So, you might have to skip your college/school in this one month period."

Then, as Minho said, "but sunbae, we have final exams in September." Dohyun also said, "yeah, I have also my final exams next month." Sujin then replied seriously, "I know. Normally, we take things slowly and wrap everything in three months but considering the situation, we can't do anything about it. At all costs, we have debut you guys by September 9th. We already discussed the possible situation. If you can't do it, then, we'll have to push another idol group for the debut. You might get another chance to debut eventually but you'll have to wait until a good song comes."

As everyone started to hesitate to answer, Jun replied, "this is a bit sudden. Can we answer after discussing a bit?" Before Sujin answered, Minsu said, "we'll do it, sunbae." While Minho and Dohyun looked at him in a surprise, he spoke, "c'mon guys. Didn't you listen, carefully? It's on September 9th. We all have our exams in mid-September. If we cut-off some sleep and some free time. We would get enough time to prepare for the final exams."

While they were still hesitating, Sujin said, "let's do this way. Go and discuss among yourselves at your apartment. Then, tomorrow, those, who don't want to lose this chance, come here at Sharp 8 A.M. If more than 2 of you come, then we'll just debut you that way and will add the others after you are free from exams. If not, then, we'll push another idol group with it."

The next day morning after breakfast, a big smile appeared on Sujin's face as she saw all five of them before her. She nodded, "good, follow me to the recording studio." As they were following her, she called various people and told them the new idol group is ready with recording.

As they entered the studio, which was on the same floor, they saw a sound engineer, who was already waiting for them. As everyone bowed at him as a greeting, he nodded and told Sujin that everything is ready and gave her the papers.

She looked at each of them and give one to each. As Jun looked at it, he looked at her in a surprise, "sunbae, this..." Sujin replied, "relax, this is the most optimal one for this song." Jun nodded in understanding. Minsu asked slowly, "what happened, Hyung?" Jun showed him his parts, which surprised Minsu as nearly forty percent of the song will be sung by Jun, alone but since it is in his expected range and it is also common in the Kpop industry of one person having more parts than others, Minsu just nodded and focused on the recording room as Dohyun went inside to start his recording, first.

As the recording started, Dohyun and HaeSeong almost broke into tears because of the scoldings of Sujin, who was a perfectionist. She kept on instructing and making them record over and over until she's satisfied. Even Jun didn't escape with his charming looks and voice. She was even harsher on him and kept on demanding to increase his quality as his parts are more and expectations too.

By the time, recording finished, Jun almost ended up in a sore throat as he sang it countless times over and over to reach above the perfection. While it was the same for everyone, since he has more parts of the song, he suffered a lot more than them.

Since they were in the recording stage, they only need to go to the agency to practice or for language cla.s.ses since the coaches will also not come and teach them as it can be considered they are writing their final exams and soon will be graduate once debut.

The next day as Jun and the others took rest at their apartment and enjoying their free time, meanwhile, at the company, Sujin was working hard with the next songs as others were arranging the song in the same way as before when Galaxy group recorded it.

The Chairman, after hearing the news, called the Public relations department's executive director and told him that they can move into promotions after shooting has been done for the teaser. Meanwhile, at Hayle apartments, as Minsu and Dohyun put their heads on the dining table and mumbled as their stomach growled, "ugh... very hungry. When will Hyung finish it?"

A few more minutes, Dohyun suddenly sprung up from his seat and took a long breath, "what a nice aroma." HaeSeong and Jun came out of the kitchen with the dishes on the tray they prepared for the lunch, together, although it's mostly Jun helping out HaeSeong.
