Jun left the agency at 11:30 and board an empty train at 11:45 P.M. After taking the seat, Jun closed his eyes to rest as he was tired from practicing. He thought, "Well, tomorrow is Sunday. I'll just sleep all day."
15 minutes later. While Jun was taking a light nap, suddenly, he heard a notification sound followed by an animated female voice in his head.
*Ding* Happy Birthday, Han Sungjun. You are now 21 years old.
His outside consciousness faded as he entered his mind, which is just a vast endless s.p.a.ce. Looking at the little fairy before, Sungjun replied with a smile, "thank you, Aria."
Aria then said, "As your birthday gift. I'm giving you a roulette wheel as your present. You can spin two times."
Then, suddenly, a large spinning-wheel appeared before him. There, he saw it was divided into ten sections with the numbers written on them. Each one has some stat and one section have an item.
Number 01: Dance +1
Number 02: Talent scanner
Number 03 Strength +1
Number 04: Luck +1
Number 05: Talent points +2
Number 06: Music +1
Number 07: Appearance +1
Number 08: Talent points +1
Number 09: Dance +2
Number 10: Luck +2
Then, Aria said, "each one can only be claimed once. And after you claimed one, five more will disappear when you go for the second time. Good luck, Han Sungjun"
Jun became extremely excited looking at the present. Even one of them can tremendously change his stats. Not to mention, two of them. As he was about spin the wheel, Jun's gaze lingered on three things especially.
One is the talent scanner in number two section. The second one is the number 5 and the last one is number 9. Since three of them can be extremely helpful for him. Since five of them will be disappeared on the second turn, Jun hoped the arrow will land on one of these three.
As he spun the wheel, it spun for at least three rounds and then, started to slow down. After one more round. It almost about to stop and Jun was smiling with excitement as he saw the arrow will be landed on number 9 but then, his hoped dashed away as it just went over to number 10 before stopping.
He sighed, "well, increasing 2 points of luck is also better anyway. With
8 points of luck, I can be considered as a lucky person. It will be helpful in the long term."
*Ding* Congratulations, your luck increased by 2
Then, Aria continued, "now, for the second turn." As she snapped her fingers, number 01, number 03, number 04, number 08, and number 09 disappeared leaving with;
Number 02: Talent scanner
Number 05: Talent points +2
Number 06: Music +1
Number 07: Appearance +1
Looking at the spinning-wheel, Jun thought, "the rest of the sections are now blank s.p.a.ces. So, if the arrow landed on them, that would mean, nothing. Well, looking at the four useful ones, I can say luck really worked for me. Maybe the luck will help again?"
And then, Jun spun the wheel again. A few seconds later, Jun raised his hands in the air in happiness, "yahoo~ I'm really lucky? From now onwards, I'm Lucky Jun, hahaha..." As the wheel disappeared, a strange light entered his eyes followed by a notification.
*Ding* Congratulations, you received the Talent Scanner. You can now see the talent of others. But, you can only see one talent which has the highest number of points.
Jun nodded with satisfaction, "well, it is not as great as I expected but still, I'm satisfied with it. With my skill, I can spot who is the Vocalist and who is the dancer easily. Not to mention, I can even scout for the company for new talents, later when I become popular."
"Thank you, Aria for the birthday gift. See ya." As Aria also waved her hand, he returned to the present and screamed all of the sudden as soon as he opened his eyes. He was taken aback in shock as he saw a spotless milky white skin face with a large pair of black eyes, so nearly. As he instinctively moved back, his head hit the window. "Argh..." As he clutched his head in pain, he asked, "who the h.e.l.l... are...?"
As the person backed away, Jun was awestruck as he saw an extremely gorgeous girl, he has ever seen in his life, with brown hair and jet black eyes, before she turned away and hurriedly pulled the mask from her pocket and put it on. Seeing there were another two girls with her, who were also wearing masks and a cap to cover their faces, Jun forced himself to calm down his heartbeat, which was beating fastly.
As he claimed down, she asked, "are you sure, you are alright? An ambulance is waiting for you at the next station." Jun replied, "no, I'm fine. Wait a second. What happened to me, in the first place? I just took a nap."
She replied, "oh, sorry about that. When we found you, you were unconscious and didn't even wake up after your head hit the seat. We tried to wake you up but you didn't, so, I tried checking your breath" Only then Jun realized that he lost consciousness completely when he went into his mind. He immediately stood up and bowed, "I'm sorry. Today's practice took a toll on my body. So, I became extremely tired."
Listening to his explanation, one of the females asked, "oh, are you a trainee?" Jun nodded. "Which one?" Jun stayed silent and just smiled at her. And she too remembered that some companies ban their trainees to even speak out their name unless they were about to debut.
Then, Jun looked at the girl in front of him and said, "I apologize again for making you all worried. Please..." As he gestured them to sit down, he also sat down silently without asking them much as he knew they were either trainees or rookie Idols, who probably snuck out for fun, probably clubbing or for some movie."
As the next stop arrived, a man in his thirties entered the train. Seeing the conversation with them, Jun realized it must be their manager and just stayed silent as they continue their conversation." Quickly, a few more minutes later, as Seoul station arrived, Jun stood up and bowed to them lightly as a gesture of saying goodbye before stepping down from the train. After walking a few steps away, Jun mumbled, "should I have asked her name? Nah, forget it."
