In the kindergarten, the cla.s.ses were divided into Playgroup, Lower Kindergarten, Middle Kindergarten and Upper Kindergarten.
The Playgroup and Lower Kindergarten cla.s.ses were on the first floor, while the Middle Kindergarten and Upper Kindergarten cla.s.ses were located on the second floor.
Along the way to the cla.s.sroom, the teacher who was in charge of bringing Peach to the cla.s.s ran into another teacher and greeted him and made some small talk. When he was done, he turned around and realised that Peach had disappeared.
The teacher was scared out of her wits and immediately sought help from the teacher she was speaking to, to help search for Peach.
In the end, they found Peach sitting obediently beside Shen Mochen in the Lower Kindergarten cla.s.s.
"Peach Su, why are you in this cla.s.s? Follow me back to your cla.s.s," Peach's teacher tugged gently at her tiny hands and planned to bring her back.
Unexpectedly, Peach hugged Shen Mochen's waist tightly, wailing and shouting, "I don't want to! I don't want to! I want to be with my husband!"
The two teachers looked at each other in shock. They tried to suppress their laughter and succeeded for a moment. Then in the very next moment, they chuckled and bent down next to Peach Su to ask her, "Child, do you know what a husband is?"
"Of course I know!" Peach held her chin up arrogantly and looked at the two teachers with her large doe eyes. She then replied confidently, "A husband is for kissing."
Upon saying that, she once again held Shen Mochen's face between her palms and landed her lips on his with precision.
Shen Mochen froze again.
Shen Mochen's handsome little face, which was usually naturally flushed, started reddening with fury. He glared at Peach for a long time before yelling, "I'm not your husband!"
"You are! You are! You're my husband!" Peach declared while clutching Shen Mochen's thin arms. She looked at the two teachers and told them in all seriousness, "My parents and G.o.dparents all said that he's my husband."
Umm… Both teachers instantly felt awkward…
Was there a problem with this child's upbringing…
On the other hand, Shen Mochen who was normally expressionless and quiet, had a look of anger on his face. He was even blus.h.i.+ng slightly. Shen Mochen's teacher gave it some serious thought before holding Peach's hand and suggesting, "In that case, why don't you join this cla.s.s? That way, you will be able to take care of each other. If it doesn't work out, you can repeat Lower Kindergarten next year."
Anyway, it was the princ.i.p.al's decision to allow Peach to enroll in the kindergarten. It should not matter which cla.s.s she was in, as long as she is taken care of.
Peach nodded enthusiastically, releasing Shen Mochen's arm and jumped for joy .
That was how two-year-old Peach Su started kindergarten with a bunch of four-year-old children in Lower Kindergarten.
The younger the child, the more evident the difference in age when compared to other children.
At two years old, Peach was only 86 centimeters. Standing amongst a group of children who measured more than one meter in height, she was almost one head shorter than the others.
Fortunately, Shen Mochen was not a sporty boy. After cla.s.s, he would rather sit at his table and read comics or doodle on a piece of paper with some watercolor pencils. Thus, it did not seem odd to see Peach sitting next to him.
Shen Mochen was extremely popular amongst the girls in his cla.s.s. However, as he appeared cold and kept his distance, it was not easy to approach him. Even when they tried to talk to him, it was normal to be ignored. Yet, after Peach came, she would hang around him all day. Occasionally, they would even see the usually expressionless and quiet Shen Mochen speak to Peach or grin at her.
