Si Weimin's eyes shone brightly when he saw Xu Jia Li. He chuckled when he saw the stunned look on her face.

After they left the press conference, he wanted to talk to her but he didn't have the chance. He was not really in a good mood when he heard Li Yun's confession.

Si Weimin dreamed of nothing but to profess his love for Xu Jia Li yet he didn't want to pressure her and make her the center of yet another gossip. However, what made him furious was the audacity of Li Yun to do that.

He was in the company when he received a message from Zhen Nian telling him of their whereabouts.

After briefing w.a.n.g Guo of the things to do, he immediately left and headed to Bluish Apple Pub.

He was really happy to see Xu Jia Li. The gown suited her as it made her look stunningly gorgeous. He couldn't take his eyes off her.

Xu Jia Li was fixed on her spot, unable to move. She arched her brows at Si Weimin when she saw the huge smile on his face. After a few seconds of apprehension, she decided to walk back to her seat.

"Hi, Ms. Xu!" Si Weimin beamed at Xu Jia Li who settled next to him.

It was only the two of them sitting on the soft leather couch because the three women were having fun as they sang.

"You look stunning, by the way." Si Weimin continued as he leaned closer to her.

"Thanks to you. I didn't get the chance to thank you for this gown earlier. It's really beautiful." Xu Jia Li blushed as she spoke, her eyes focused on the three women who were happily singing.

"I'm glad you like it." Si Weimin smiled, "By the way, you did a great job earlier. I always know you have such feisty character."

"All thanks to the savior of the day," XuJia Li glanced at Si Weimin, her eyes filled with grat.i.tude before she spoke seriously, "Thank you for sending those information to me."

"That's the least I can do."

Si Weimin chuckled before he started putting foods on Xu Jia Li's plate.

"Here, eat some. You're so skinny. You need to eat more."

"W-what? W-what skinny? I – " Xu Jia Li didn't finish what she was about to say. She was really speechless. She rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms on her chest.

"C'mon. Don't sulk. Eat these."

Si Weimin put more food on her plate as he started peeling the spicy shrimp.

Xu Jia Li focused her gaze on the handsome man next to her. She put her hand on her chin as she enjoyed watching Si Weimin.

She didn't notice that the three women already finished their songs and were now staring at the two of them.

Shen Linqin and Lan Meixu had a complicated look on their faces. They were shocked to see Si Weimin arrived and now, seeing him attend to Xu Jia Li's need and even peeling shrimps for her, made them flabbergasted. Though, Lan Meixu had seen the two of them before, she was still shocked.

Zhen Nian, on the other hand, wore a huge smile on her face. She was so excited to see the two together that's why she texted Si Weimin.

The peeled shrimps went straight to Xu Jia Li's bowl. Then, Si Weimin turned his head towards Xu Jia Li.

Seeing her looking intently at him, he felt warmth flooded through him. They stared at each other's eyes, disregarding the three pairs of eyes gazing at them.

"Haist, what's going on?" Shen Linqin asked. She had seen these two together before but they never got this intimate.

Lan Meixu only shrugged her shoulders while Zhen Nian shushed Shen Linqin,

"Shhh, don't be so loud. You'll mess the ambiance."

Xu Jia Li woke up from her trance when she heard voices. She lifted her eyes and saw the odd looks on Lan Meixu and Shen Linqin's face, and the teasing gaze of Zhen Nian.

Her face immediately heated up. She tried to hide the embarra.s.sment on her face as she gobbled the food on her bowl.

"Slow down. You'll hurt your stomach if you continue to eat like a hungry horse." Si Weimin chuckled as he handed her more food.

"Stop putting more food. I can't finish them up." Xu Jia Li complained.

"Then, I'll eat the rest that you can't finish."

"W-what? N-no! Why would you do that?" Xu Jia Li was exasperated, her eyes widened.

"Why not? It's such a waste if we don't finish it."

"Then, I'll eat this all and you can just get your own food."

"No. I like to share a bowl with you." Si Weimin took off the gloves on his hands before he grabbed his chopsticks and took a piece of beef from Xu Jia Li's bowl.

Shen Linqin gasped as she put her hands on her mouth.

Lan Meixu pretended to scan her phone, a stifled laugh forming on her throat.

Zhen Nian giggled as she secretly took photos of the two.

"Why don't you just get your own bowl? We don't really have to share." Xu Jia Li's face was so red. She pretended to be calm as she pursed her lips.

"We can help the environment if we used just one bowl."

"…"

'Are you kidding me? Who said that?' Xu Jia Li thought to herself as she looked dumbfounded.

"You're a lost case, Mr. Si." Xu Jia Li muttered.

"I don't think I am." Si Weimin answered before he happily took more food from Xu Jia Li's bowl.

The gesture was so intimate. It made Xu Jia Li's heart swelled with so much love.

Shen Linqin felt bullied from a sudden display of affection. They were suddenly fed with dog food. She couldn't believe that she would someday see her Li-jie so smitten.

"Li-jie, are you swooning?"

"Of course not! Linqin, don't spout nonsense!"

"Aiyoo, Li-jie. I never see you blushed like this. Is there something going on between you two? Why are you so smitten?" Shen Linqin probed as she eyed Xu Jia Li and Si Weimin.

Si Weimin was enjoying the moment as he let Xu Jia Li answered. Then, he continued eating.

"…" Xu Jia Li was speechless. She stared at Si Weimin. She pinched him on his arm when she saw the smug look on his face.

"Li-jie, stop feeding us dog food!"Shen Linqin pouted.

Lan Meixu and Zhen Nian laughed so hard as they watched the embarra.s.sed Xu Jia Li.

"Linqin, I think you've been through a lot lately. Why don't I grant you a leave?"

"Oh my gosh, Li-jie. You're really guilty. I can't believe you're trying to silence me."

"E-eh – "Xu Jia Li shook her head as she blushed. She even waved her hands.

"I can't believe it, Li-jie. How can you act so lovey-dovey with CEO Si while we single women are here?"

Xu Jia Li could only accept defeat as she bowed her head. There was no way she would win against Shen Linqin. She was about to get her bowl when she realized it was on Si Weimin's hands.

She glared at him as she stomped on his foot. She couldn't believe that she would ever feel this embarra.s.sed. Thanks to Si Weimin!

"Ouch!" Si Weimin acted hurt.

"Hmmph! Serves you right!" Xu Jia Li pouted then she s.n.a.t.c.hed the bowl from his hand as she continued to eat.

Si Weimin couldn't help but smile as he patted her head, "You're so stubborn."

The three women laughed upon seeing the two.

After they ate, they shared some drinks and enjoyed their time teasing Xu Jia Li.

After a while, Zhen Nian entered a song for Xu Jia Li to sing. They would never let this moment pa.s.sed without hearing her sing.

With much persuasion, Xu Jia Li stood and took the microphone. She secretly glanced at Si Weimin, her eyes trying to convey the emotions she had inside. She was actually filled with so much love.

Maybe it was true after all. Maybe, just maybe, all she needed to do was to give the two of them a chance.
