Cage was surprised at the rate at which she picked up her training. He had worked as an undercover operative in the military for years and had gone on many highly cla.s.sified missions with Hunter in the past, but he had never seen somebody adapt to the training so quickly. In reality given the way which she had lived her teenage years pretending to be a boy, infiltrating gangs and hunting the men who killed her father, this was no different. Another alias, another life.
In truth, Lia found a.s.suming this ident.i.ty much easier than a.s.suming Luke's ident.i.ty. It was much easier to pretend to be a woman than it was a man. When she wasn't working on her behavioural training, she was training physically. Lia was a ticking time bomb and both Cage and Hunter agreed that skilled as she was, she needed to learn her triggers and harness her power otherwise lord only knew what would happen if she exploded one day. In her fuge, there were no friends or enemies, only targets.
Cage had arranged a special ops beautician to come in and a.s.sist with her transformation. They not only changed her hair color, but her eye color with the use of contacts, skin tone. Any trace of Lia had to be completely deleted. With the help of the beauticial Lia was taught how to do her make up, color and touch up her hair so that a wig would not be necessary, and how and when to apply skin toning make up which would give her skin an almost olive colored tone.
Having given it some thought Lia had even coaxed Cage into bringing in a private tattoo artist once her disguise was in place. Cage had tried to convince her it wasn't necessary, but Lia wanted to be 100% sure that anything related to her old appearance would be washed away. As Lia hadn't had any tattoos with either of her previous ident.i.ties, this seemed to be the final task which would take her that much farther from her old self. There was no denying it was painful but to Lia it was worth it.
By the time Ren and Hunter arrived to meet them at the cabin with her papers which had been forged and processed by the Serpents, they were met with a tall slender purple haired beauty, she had dark hazel eyes, olive colored skin and a body that most men would die for. On her right shoulder beneath a layer of mesh could be seen a tribal tattoo made to look like a vine, each barb of the tattoo appeared to have a life of its own which in turn dug into her flesh and under her left a single ruby colored tear drop fell.
Hunter was speechless as she approached the two of them in skin tight ripped up jeans and leather jacket. He had only been away from her for the period of a few short weeks and he could barely recognize her, he suddenly felt his mouth growing dry just looking at her, and a feeling of what would only be a knot of what could only be anxiety forming in the pit of his stomach.
Ren couldn't help but smirk having seen Hunter's reaction to this little beauty, she was a knock out by any man's standard. In fact, had it not been for Anna, he himself might have been tempted. Ren knew too well though, that the s.e.xier the woman the more trouble they were and between Anna and their daughter he had more than a handful waiting for him back home. He cleared his throat to draw Hunter back to reality, snickering at him as he did. "Good luck to you!"
Hunter, having been woken from his stupor glared at Ren before turning to woman who stood before them. "Are you ready to go Lia?" He asked.
Rayven slipped between the two men pus.h.i.+ng past them almost coldly, her eyes darkened with determination, not an ounce of emotion in her voice as she said "Sorry boys, Lia is dead.." and with that turned to walk ahead of the men without even a backwards glance with both Cage and Hunter staring after her in her wake. In the meantime Ren couldn't help but pinch the bridge of his nose as he watched them, it was too hilarious. He was suddenly very happy that all he had to worry about was Anna.
