DONNA ROWAN
Kindness is an inner desire that makes us want to do good things, even if we do not get anything in return.
It is a reflection of what lives in a person's heart.
And I know Andy too well, she's the kindest person I know so far.
Well, even the nicest people have their limits, so she's also the scariest person there is.
Anyways, I knew that Lea. I see her face everyday as our departments reside in the same building.
I also know some rumors going on around her that's why I'm so angry with Andy a.s.sociating herself with that girl. More so, to all the ha.s.sle that girl caused my friend in the previous days.
Right, Andy's coming over to get something from me. I waited in a bench outside the building of my department.
I could also hear two people talking near me. They were probably just seated behind me but I can't see them as an overhead bush was hovering down between our benches.
Then my chest tightened as I continue to eavesdrop. I heard clearly what the two were talking.
I also saw Andy approaching, I signaled her to keep as quiet as possible and motioned to sit with me.
"That Andy?"
"She's playing right into my palm."
"A chess p.a.w.n to my game." Lea said.
The meeting of Andy's brows didn't pa.s.s my sight unnoticed.
"This is my sweet revenge." Lea continued.
"I will let Erika know the feeling of being replaced; abandoned, just as how she s.n.a.t.c.hed my boyfriend from me."
"Ex… ex-boyfriend." The other girl corrected.
By then, I saw Andy swallow hard and started to play in circle the ring in her middle finger unknowingly.
I knew Andy, I knew that if she do that, nothing good comes next.
"I have spent months in finding fault on that b.i.t.c.h and now I finally did, I won't let this pa.s.s." Lea said sounding victorious as though she won a grand prize.
"Huh, a lesbian, the heck."
"Just she wait on the festival, I'll make sure she wouldn't have a face to show to anyone."
'My gosh'
I gaped in disbelief and covered my mouth with my hand.
Then my heart raised and my fear grew as soon as I saw how Andy smirked.
I even shuddered in fear just by looking at her.
Her expression looked so grim and the air around her felt so morbid.
"I'm feeling sorry for Andy though." The other girl said apologetically.
Lea smirked, I could tell.
"Huh, blame her naivety." She uttered.
'd.a.m.n b.i.t.c.h'
I closed my eyes longer as I gnashed my teeth in anger.
I was really ready to declare a brawl with that b.i.t.c.h right there but Andy got a hold of me.
She shook her head as she placed her pointing finger between her lips gesturing me to keep my silence.
Her eyes, her eyes were eager and sharp. Then she smiled; a weird smile that made me s.h.i.+ver in fear down to my every bones.
's.h.i.+t'
I don't know what to feel anymore. I'm in turmoil. I felt sorry for my friend in front of me and anger to those b.i.t.c.hes behind the bush but.. but most of all, I'm scared.
I'm scared for what Andy would do next.
'Lea'
She should have carefully picked her prey.
She shouldn't have mess with Andy of all people.
'Goodness'
My friend is dangerous.
The beast in her is just sleeping; not dead.
I buried my face behind my palms as my heart still won't stop pounding and I peeked a glance at Andy.
The morbid air around her grew thicker and thicker.
'd.a.m.n'
My anger was replaced with worry by then.
I knew my friend, underneath her meekness and kindness lies the heart of a demon.
