The Journey To An Unknown Destination 42 First Day At Ifa

Linda went to sleep early while the rest of her roommates kept on mumbling with each other until midnight. Linda chose to sleep in the single bed near the window and the rest agreed joyfully. She had trouble falling asleep but somehow she finally did. The next day, she woke up early in the morning and went to eat breakfast with the rest.

Her next days were quite smooth and busy. She would be exhausted from the cla.s.ses, had to do a ton of homework before finally dozing off to bed. One week had pa.s.sed, and tomorrow was the day, when their official cla.s.ses would be starting. She could not wait to visit the main campus and start studying the real thing. She was bored with these 'unofficial cla.s.ses', which were a rubbish to her. It wasn't even related to fas.h.i.+on!

Etiquette cla.s.ses, ballroom dance lessons, cla.s.ses related to how to eat like a 'refined person', gardening period, and even a cla.s.s dedicated on dressing yourself up in a dignified manner, which also included make-up lesson as well.

What sort of lessons are these... Are they in some sort of 'Princess Charm School'?! Linda was vexed with these useless cla.s.ses. Now, it was finally over! Official cla.s.ses would start! YES. Linda was over joyed.

At last, it was the day, she would step into the main campus and enter the real world of fas.h.i.+on. She got up earlier than usual and also woke the others up. She took a shower, applied make-up and dressed herself up. When they were ready to leave, they all stared at Linda in shock. She looked stunning. "Linda...! You look like an angel from heaven!" Madison exclaimed in praise.

Linda was wearing a yellow belle smock with small colorful flowers imprinted on it with light blue denim jeans, and white sneakers. Her ginger hair was tucked in a high ponytail and her green eyes were prominent. Her perfect figure was outlined, and she looked alluring.

Liliana seemed more happy than Linda herself as she hugged her and jumped around with joy. Linda laughed, "What's up with you?" "Ah, I think I've become your fan! You are truly glamorous." Liliana exclaimed. They all laughed and headed for the main campus after a decent breakfast. A nicely decorated bus was waiting outside for the students. Everyone hopped in the bus, excited.

It took around five minutes until they entered the magnificent entrance gates of IFA. They all gasped in shock. It seemed as if they had really entered a royal palace. Evergreen trees stood tall in straight rows throughout their sight. Although it was almost the end of October, colorful flowers were blooming, with b.u.t.terflies fluttering around them. Winter was supposed to start in a few weeks but here, it felt like spring lasted forever.

Gazing further ahead, they saw the enormously spectacular building, painted in shades of skin, brown, white and similar decent, light colors, representing a glorious castle. "WOW..!" Everyone cried out together. The bus stopped a few meters away from the main gate. They all pushed to get out of the bus and enter the building. The majestic doors opened and three well dressed people walked outside. Their character radiated a very n.o.ble and over bearing feeling.

Linda recognized one of them as Madam Daphne. "Everybody, please pay attention." She started speaking. The students stopped talking and averted their conversation to focus on her. "Thank you. I would like to introduce you all to Madam Gabriel, your princ.i.p.al, and the vice princ.i.p.al, Sir Daniel." She said indicating towards an elegant woman in her mid thirties, standing to her left. She looked around at the students, her gaze as sharp as a dagger. On the contrary, Sir Daniel, standing at Madam Gabriel's left, looked more cool and welcoming. He had a charming smile on his face. He seemed pretty young, around his mid-twenties, almost the same age as Madam Daphne.

"We welcome you to this prestigious academy. Hopefully, you will have a wonderful time here." Sir Daniel welcomed the students in a warm tone. "Alright then, shall we proceed?" He asked.

"YES!" The crowd roared with a thunderous applause and cheers.

They smiled and then led them inside into a huge auditorium which was already half-filled with students. They all found a seat to sit and then listened to a lecture of one whole hour! "You have to follow the rules... Blah blah blah... Do your homework... Blah blah blah... Don't cause trouble and respect your teachers... Blah blah blah..." The princ.i.p.al rambled on for the hour.

Finally, when the lecture was finished, they were led to their cla.s.ses according to the schedules they were being given when leaving the auditorium. Linda looked at her new timetable with glee. It was not only more interesting than her old routine, but also less tiring. She would have a lot of free time! Yay! She was lost in her timetable, trying to memorize it, while walking forward without looking up. She b.u.mped into someone really hard.

"Ow!!!" The person yelped. Linda fell down, "Ah!" she squealed. She looked up at the person she b.u.mped into. Gosh... He is so handsome.. Uh, it's not the right time for such thoughts! Linda panicked inside. Before she could get up, the person bent down on his knees, offering his hand, "I'm so sorry, young lady, I didn't mean it." He apologized softly.

"Uh.. N-no! It was my fault for not looking straight ahead." Linda stuttered, feeling guilty. The person smiled, "Oh well, you're not hurt right?" Linda shook her head. "I'm Jackson, nice to meet you." He introduced himself. "I-I'm L-Linda. Pleasure to m-meet you, t-too." Linda replied, blus.h.i.+ng. Jackson laughed, "Ahahaha! You're really cute. We'll meet again later, I'll be heading to cla.s.s now, don't wanna be late on the first day." He said, waving her goodbye and disappeared from sight.

Linda stood there frozen... H-he actually called me c-cute..?!
