Lucky Unluckiest 25 Chapter Twenty Five

Lying on my bed all I could think was,

'why did she even agree to go with Jacob?'

Why do I even care?

I took my phone to message her,

'did you get home safely?' but I erased it cause I thought it would be too much.

After a while I got up and went to the kitchen to make myself ramen. I turned on the television and searched for a good channel to watch. Using television as my background music I turned around to the stove and started making ramen for myself.

When the noodles were boiling I got a message,

*Hey, are you free after college tomorrow?*

*yes I'm.* I replied.

*would you like to have lunch with me after cla.s.s?*

I didn't know what to reply and I was kinda annoyed at the fact that she went with Jacob.

So I replied with,

*umm.. I have plans with Liam, I'm sorry. Next time?*

*sure. :)*

Why did I even do that!?

I  called Liam asking if he wanted to have lunch with me but he told me he had to go to a family lunch tomorrow. And now I regret. What do I do? I shouldn't have said that. Ugh. Never mind. It doesn't matter.

I made ramen and seated on the couch and watched TV but my mind couldn't help but think what could've happened if she went home with me. I wanted to go with her  and I was actually about to ask her if she wanted to walk home with me but boi Jacob was fast.

Thinking about it, I don't want to get my hopes high.

What am I even thinking about? She isn't thinking the way I am. It's too normal for her but little does she know that she's making me expect more, also breaking my heart. She has no idea how much time it took me to build these walls around me and she just climbs one after another. I don't want to a feel like a useless piece of junk again. I don't want to spend time with her. I don't want to make stupid fantasies about what possibly can happen between us. I don't wanna ...fall in love with her.

My goals have always been clear and I always seem to reach them but I don't wanna a make her my the only dream I cannot ever touch. That's not possible. She's just being nice to me cause she probably pities me.

I hate being pitied.

SOPHIA

Waking up the first thing I looked for was his message. I don't know why but I had an instinct that he'd message me but I better get used to disappointments.

Sighing, I made my way to the washroom and got ready for the cla.s.s. 

Sophia, there must be a reason to turn you down. Don't worry too much about it. You can try again tomorrow. Wai- what, why would I ask him again?

Making my way to the college, Emma came running towards me. I smiled. "Did anything happened yesterday?" She was panting yet seemed desperate for my answer.

"What do you mean?" I didn't get what she was saying.

"On your way back with Jacob?" He paused for a second and took a brief look at me, " Did anything happened between you two?"

"Was anything supposed to happen?" Puzzled, I asked her.

"Okayy." She nodded.

"We have a cla.s.s together,right? Let's go together." She continued as she held my elbow.

I still have no idea what she wanted to say.

After the cla.s.s as I was making my way out, Jacob called out my name and came to me.

"hey, want to have lunch together?" he asked like the nicest guy out there in the world. Me being me, I first thought of Logan but since he wasn't eating with me I had no reason to turn him down so I gladly accepted. Jacob never failed to make me laugh, as I reached the front gate I saw Logan walking in front of me. Jacob called out for him and he turned around to response but his eyes widened when his eyes moved to me.

"Weren't we having our lunch together?" He asked me all of the sudden.

"I did ask you but yo-"

"Let's get going then, I was waiting for you only." 

after a moment of silence Emma came running from behind. 

"I asked her first." Jacob said, a little concerned.

"We agreed to eat together yesterday, and we always have our lunch together." Logan answered back holding my hand and pulling me to his side.

when did we agree? he surely turned me down! what is he doing? what is he even thinking?

"what's happening?" Emma asked, confused. "Have you eaten yet?" Jacob asked her.

"No."

"Then let's grab something, come on." Jacob said making Emma smile joyously. 

On his way out of the college I noticed a weird yet strong eye contact between Jacob and Logan.  Did they fight?

LOGAN

I lost to him first, I am not gonna lose against him again. The sight of him being by her side burned me up. After calming down, I noticed Sophia looking at me totally confused. "What?" I noticed she was too near to me, I took a step back and continued, "You messaged me to have lunch together." I answered as I started walking. 

"Yes I did but you told you had plans with Liam." Which made me stopped walking, looking for an excuse to cover up my why I did that actually

"He is busy." I stated.

She nodded. I sighed with relief that she didn't ask more and we walked to the nearest restaurant.

I find her the cutest when she eats. She doesn't care who's watching her and she eats till her heart's contents. I stopped eating for a while to watch her eat like a happy puppy without any worries.

"You aren't eating?" She asked, bringing me back to reality.

"I'm full now." I said when I barely ate a bite of my meal.

"Then, can I have yours too?" She asked which startled me a little but I smiled at her, "sure." I replied, giving her my plate.

She took it like the happiest person in the world.

"I'll walk you home." I said when we made out way out of the restaurant.

"There's no need though."

"Let's go."

Walking silently and close, her hand gently brushed against mine and I held her hand unconsciously. It was few seconds after when Sophia stopped walking and looked at me and I realized I was holding her hand.

I let go of it.

I was as surprised as she was by my actions.

She grabbed my hand and held it.

"It's cold anyway." She said as she started walking.

It was December 7th.
