" Wala! Wala! " water pouring down from the shower.

" Why me? I'm a good man. Why can I enjoy my life? " a man sitting on the bathroom floor; crying to himself.

This man is Levi. He is a charming young man. A man like him should be having fun, working hard, and enjoying life. Why is he crying to himself in the shower?

He got lucky tonight; met a beautiful lady. A pa.s.sionate, open-minded, and s.e.xy lady. However, staying in a room with a beautiful young lady that gives you the opportunity to get naughty with her. Unlike most men that will get on to the action. Levi wants no further action from the lady. He forfeited the opportunity.

He didn't do this because he is a gentleman. His body is unfit for s.e.xual intercourse. Started from a very young age, he was obsessed with women and their bodies. He would not let go of any chance to be with a woman. As time goes by, his body is going downhill like the stock market crash during 1929. Just last month his doctor told him that if he continues having s.e.x, he will die from a heart attack.

After the shower, Levi gets out of the bathroom. He looks around for Mary, but unfortunately, Mary left. She left a note on the counter table.

" Dear Levi:

It's been a great evening, thank you so much for having me around. Tonight is definitely the best night I have counted from all the nights I've spent in France. I'm sorry for the thing that I did tonight. Please call me.

Levi opens up his phone and saves the number, but it looks like there wouldn't be any chance of him to call it.

Levi sleeps.

Sunrises, Morning, ' Vally Cafe '

A man sits near the window, staring out at the sun. It's bright, strong, and hot.

It is Levi. Today is his day off. He likes to drink a cup of coffee and doze off on his day off.

Suddenly a man walks toward Levi's table and asks,

" May I? "

" Huh? " Levi replies.

" May I join you? " the man asks.

Levi looks around the cafe. Seeing all the other available seats for the man. If this man comes around during another day Levi would more than happy to invites him for a drink, but Levi is in a sad mood. Therefore, he doesn't want other people to interrupt his day, furthermore.

The man sits down anyway.

" I don't think you want to deny my offer for your pain. " the man smiles.

" Huh? " Levi looks up at him with confusion, " My pain? "

" Yes, your pain. " the man hands Levi his card, " Let me introduce myself. My name is Darwin. You can call me Kami. "

" Kami? " Levi even confuses more " I'm sorry, I don't need any product from your company. "

" No, you do. " Darwin answers.

Levi loses his patient, " I'm fine, I'm not going to waste my money on your incomplete product. "

" Money? " Darwin said, " I don't money. I only your ' Desire ' "

Levi shocked, " My desire? "

Levi looks up, the man disappears. There is no sign of where the man went.

Levi got up and went home, he thought to himself it's only a hallucination.

Back at the cafe.

" l.u.s.t. " Darwin picks up his coffee, takes a sip. " Tastes like s.h.i.+t. Why people like it so much. "

What is ' it '? Seem like Darwin is talking about coffee, but is it really about the taste of the coffee?

Darwin grows up in a highly educated family. His father is an archaeologist. His mother is a ceremonialist. She teaches wealthy family's children the way to behave around others, the way to speak with other upper-cla.s.s people.

Darwin lives in a happy and static life. He doesn't need to worry about anything, money, food, shelter. He just needs to follow along with the path that his parent planted for him. Darwin is not a very social person. He doesn't like meeting new people, or just people in general. He thinks the world is enough with his parent and him. Everything else is extra.

However, things don't always work out perfectly. Just right after his sister gave birth. His father dies from an accident during work. Rocks fall over his father's head when his father digs too deep into the hole trying to find ancient relics. Fortunately, the insurance company pays well for his father's death. He never has a chance to sit down with his old man and talk about adult things, like, coffee, s.e.x, woman.

Kami is a term derives from a j.a.panese word, Kamisama. It means G.o.d. A being that was able to help out the needy.

Darwin is a kami. He also helps out the needy, but unlike G.o.d, he doesn't help them for free. Darwin has prices for everything. Just like a doctor, he can help whenever you needed, but you also need to pay for his service.

He works for a devil. Technically speaking, an ancient technology that learns all the knowledge that was created by mankind, but wanted to become a man. It captures Darwin's sister and enslaves Darwin to work for it.

What makes human a human?

Is it the knowledge that we have? Or is it the unique physical features that we have?

If a machine is advanced enough to achieve all the tasks that we humans can achieve and over limit itself to even higher standard, create things and understand things that we humans can't. Can we consider it to be a human?

Or is it still a machine because of it doesn't have skin, blood, and all the other human unique features?

If it is able to create all the physical features, can we now consider it to be a human?

The answer is no.

Machines don't have feelings. Feelings make us human. Humans have desires.

Everything we do is because of our desires. We eat because we are hungry and desire for food. We make love because we have the desire for s.e.x. We will be satisfied when our desires are completed.

Kami helps people who have desires but don't have the ability to finish it. As in return, the person who receives Kami's help will pay his price. Not money, but something that this person values the most.

Levi is one of those people.

What would Levi give up for s.e.x? What would be a perfect price to cure his pain?
