Radley narrowed his eyes, "Game…"

He cycled through the list of possible achievements. The list was long and some of them required a stupid amount of points to get. Like x-ray vision. He laughed when he saw that. It almost made it sound like he was going to become some sort of superhero. Something did catch his attention though. Basic a.n.a.lyses 2 points. It allowed him to see the level of whom or whatever he faced. It didn't show health or mp? But it did show a personality quirk, which was both odd and interesting. He decided to buy it. To his dismay, he had nothing to test it on.

He needed to find some sort of civilization, but a popup appeared. Emergency quest: Survive. You are to hide from the incoming threat.

A popup arrow provided a hiding spot as well as a timer that was less than thirty seconds. He ran to the hiding spot that was in the base of a tree.

A ma.s.sive hulking four-legged lizard came walking through the trees. It had red scales with fire pouring out crevices in its neck. The creature pa.s.sed by with remarkably little trouble. Radley sighed, relieved that it wasn't actively pursuing prey. He waited for a while before exiting his little den. To his surprise, a rather beautiful woman landed close to his location. He was surprised. He approached her, "Hi…"

He barely got anything to say as a bullet sailed past his face nicking him on the check. This scared him s.h.i.+tless as he fell flat on his a.s.s, "Whoa, whoa, whoa I come in peace. I just want information."

She turned her head sideways and studied him for a bit, "You're an idiot, greenhorn. Everyone should know when you find somebody in the wilds you should leave them be…You got nice clothes though."

He narrowed his eyes. He didn't like the sound of that. He looked at her level. She was level 15 and had a greedy att.i.tude. She walked towards him as she sheathed her gun. This made him relax a bit. She smiled at him and said, "Take off your clothes."

"Say What?"

"Are you deaf or something. I said to take off your clothes."

"The h.e.l.l is wrong with you?! h.e.l.l no!

She grabbed him by the throat. Radley desperately tried to remove her hand but it was liking trying to scrum against an elephant. She wasn't even noticing him struggling, "I wasn't asking."

She started with his s.h.i.+rt. In the end, he was stark naked and was tossed aside like a rag doll, "This will do fine. Thanks for the easy chit, greenhorn, or should I say, dumba.s.s."

With that, she was gone with his clothes. Luckily Radley forgot his weapon in the trunk of the tree. A popup came up, "Mission failed: Penalty: minus two Diff points. Currently at -2 Diff points. The difference will be made up in future quests."

What just happened?! Now he was stark naked in a hostile environment. He needed to remedy that quickly. He luckily got the woman's name. Nora.

He will remember her, but for now, he had to think of something else. He was buck naked and had no clear indication on where to go. So he asked Diff, "So, I am kind of lost and have nowhere to go. Could you show me a way to, anyplace where there is a civilization?"

"Negative. Not enough information about the surrounding area."

He slapped his forehead. HE WAS STUCK! He remembered his promise after Leanna died. He wasn't going to give up, besides he needed to destroy the source. Another mystery of the continent.

"Diff, I need to set up another quest for myself. I need clothes, but I am going to make it out of large leaves. Something basic."

"The Diff system does not do personal quests, but a waypoint can be set."

He lost his clothes due to a mission parameter not being clear. Now when he wanted it to help him get clothes, it was like some stupid stubborn b.i.t.c.h.

He went back to go collect his stupid weapon and set off in the nude to who knows where. He was in luck because after a while he came across a fern that had ma.s.sive leaves.

He quickly set about making him at least a lower body cover in the form of a dress. He shrugged. He was moderately satisfied. Even though it was night there was still ample amounts of light thanks to the aurora and the glowing plant life around him. He could clearly make out a large floating rock that happened to be close. The vines were long enough to touch the ground. It was a way for Radley to escape the dangerous jungle he was in as well as finding a vantage point to check the surrounding areas.

There were a bunch of strange and wondrous sounds echoing through the jungle. Unfortunately, this didn't calm Radley one bit. It just made him more on edge.

He saw a ma.s.sive centipede. Radley was freaking out. This thing was at least 1.5m (about 5 feet) long. He read about these things and was said to have a nasty venom in its claws. He charged it down and crashed his axe into its head and immediately jumped back. He waited for the creature to die. When the creature died a popup appeared. Invo Level 1 Giant Centipede defeated. 22 Invo points obtained. No Diff points.

And here he thought he was going to get a lot more than just twenty-two experience points. Leveling up in this world is going to be a b.i.t.c.h.

He made his way to the vine that led upwards to the floating rock. It was pretty d.a.m.n high and he was having second thoughts, but he remembers reading something about survival. Get a good vantage point and survey the area. Radley sighed, he was still reeling from his own death that happened as a result of a high place.

He first pulled the vine to make sure it was strong enough to hold him. When he was satisfied he started to make his way up. It was a bad decision when he was barely a small distance up. He was tired as all h.e.l.l. He made his way back down. He doesn't see himself making it all the way, but what he does see is a problem. Water and food. He needed a new plan and fast.
