RUMBLE!

RUMBLE!

"My lady, why won't you use your name? I'm sure if you just said your name, those hotels would automatically give you their VIP rooms."

I ignored Violets rumbling, my personal bodyguard/ secretary/driver/servant.

I continued to eat the exotic snacks that I just hauled a while ago.

This was the reason why we were in this predicament. Stranded in Izu Island because I made a detour to a small hidden village that made these exotic snacks.

This was not the first time that food had given me trouble.

I only went on this school trip because of these snacks and other exotic food waiting to be discovered on this island.

Honestly, I could had gone on my own, but the teacher insisted that I come on this school trip, promising to give me her limited edition vanilla flavored cheesy munchy.

I sighed and unbuckled my seatbelt to get off the car when we arrived at our fourth hotel.

Because it was summer break, all the hotels were packed, and the storm only made it worse.

I glanced up at the beautiful building in front of me.

It was not the first time that I had seen beautifully made structures, but the place sure took my breath away.

Casa Montaña

The name fits itself since it looks like a log mansion.

A perfect combination of stones and wood only made majestic by its surroundings.

I entered the lobby and saw many people going to and fro.

The place was also packed.

I walked towards the receptionist while praying for an available room.

I promise I will not eat snacks five times a day and only eat four times a day from now on...

….Or four and half times...?

"Hi, is there any available room?"

I did not mind when the receptionist suddenly lost her bearing when she looked at me.

All people do.

I knew I was drop dead gorgeous and I knew how to use it.

"I-I'm sorry... W-we're full right now."

I did not hide the disappointment on my face, and the receptionist woman look at me all apologetic.

I inwardly sighed and accepted my fate to sleep in the car when a smooth, youthful hand, holding a platinum card, glided my view.

"Here."

Said a crisped, twinkling voice clearly from a boy in his p.u.b.erty.

I turned to look, yet my eyes did not find anyone until I look down.

My heart jolted, missing a beat as my mind blank out, staring at that deep mesmerizing dark brown eyes.

I saw a youth neither skinny nor fat. Mahogany colored clean-cut hair with few hairs falling on his forehead. Thick prominent eyebrows and lashes, straight and proud sharp nose, thin pinkish lips highlighted by his round face.

I have my fair share of beautiful men, and our mansion did not run out of long-lined handsome suitors every day.

Yet somehow...

This pretty young boy, not barely sixteen, caught my full attention.

The young boy's eyes flashed with admiration at the sight of me, but it quickly vanished and was replaced by a mysterious aloof glint.

Like he just saw his favorite toy and quickly gotten bored with it.

That was a first.

I was about to say thank you, but he turned around and walked towards the elevator lobby.

I grabbed the card and hurriedly chased after him.

Since I was a tall woman, towering at five foot eight inches and he was just a kid in his five foot four inches' height. After some quick few long strides, I was in front of him – blocking his way.

I did not know why my body did that.

I never acted this rude before.

"Thank you. What can I do to repay this kindness?"

Again, I was surprised when that unfamiliar words escaped my mouth.

I never use such kind and hopeful tone towards strangers before, not that I ever use it on any non-strangers– anyway, you get my point.

"No need. Since my brother can't come because of the storm, that card key would just be useless." He said, all formal and polite, just like a well-behaved kid. Then he made his way past me towards the elevator.

"Wait! I cannot just accept it like this. At least let me repay you."

I was surprised to find myself hoping that the young boy would ask me for a date like all other men did who would do anything to gain my favor.

The young boy just stared at me, unfaltering and emotionless, then gestured towards the reception lady.

"If you really want to. Please pay to that lady over there for the room. Then you have nothing to owe me."

Like that, he hurriedly left and rode the first elevator that opened like he was dying to get away from me.

....

....

It had been some time that I just stood there in a daze, looking blankly at the elevator door, hoping the boy would change his mind and ask me out instead – but it never happened.

I sighed.

What is wrong with me?

In just meeting that boy alone, I felt I had become a completely different person.

I shook my head and walked towards the reception lady to pay for the room while my heart beat vigorously, making my blood rushed with excitement in my vessels, causing my brain to whisper nonstop to hunt the boy down.
