Kaito led the two people to a small house in the residential area. Apparently, the Accommodations Officer was his father so he barged straight inside the house. It was a traditional j.a.panese house with only one floor.

"Dad! We have visitors. He lost contact with his wife." Kaito shouted. "Just wait a bit he's a bit old and moves slowly."

The three sat down and waited in silence. After a minute, an old man walked out with a book containing the record of all refugees. "What is your wife's name?"

"Kyla Louise. Here, I also brought a photograph." Haeckel brought out a photograph and showed it to the old man who looked at it seriously.

"I'll just check it here. As you can see, my old age makes me a bit forgetful." The man pointed his finger on the list and started reading each. There were hundreds of names in the list but there were a few, that was written in the English characters.

"She is not j.a.panese right?" The old man asked to which Haeckel shook his head.

"I'm afraid she's not here." The old man closed the book and looked at Haeckel in the eyes.

"I understand. Thank you very much for taking your time." Haeckel stood up and left the house.

(Where are you my love?")

Haeckel also decided to leave the Imperial Grounds and go back to the aircraft. It was far safer to stay in that vehicle than stay within any of the residential houses. All throughout the way, Chouji was quiet. He knew that his new friend was not in the mood to bicker. Upon arriving at the invisible aircraft, Haeckel went to sleep.

It was 11 o'clock in the evening when Haeckel woke up. He just had a brilliant idea that would help him find his wife.

"Greta, turn the engine on we will hover around Tokyo."

"Yes sir." Lights flickered on. The engine whirred to life and the aircraft floated up in the air.

ERNST HAECKEL IS IN THE IMPERIAL GROUNDS, TOKYO.

The dark and silent Tokyo was woken up by one sentence. Every three minutes, the same sentence would echo in a different location. Ernst planned to make a trip around j.a.pan to tell his wife about his location. If he could not find her, then she will.

"Who is crazy enough to do that?"

"He's attracting those monsters!"

"That b.a.s.t.a.r.d why is he coming over to my place."

"The royal family is safe?"

"Who is this person?"

"How did he get a plane to work?"

"Ernst Haeckel. Is he an Awakened?"

"Gather information about this Ernst Haeckel."

"Don't bother with him. He's just looking for death."

All throughout Tokyo, the survivors were talking about one man - Ernst Haeckel. After his announcement in the city, Haeckel decided to go to the other cities starting from Yokohama all the way to Nagasaki. At first, Chouji sat beside his friend but later on, he became sleepy and decided to sleep in his car.

12AM, Isahaya, Nagasaki

Tzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt

"Ehem. Mike test."

Haeckel heard the familiar voice. He hated this voice so much. It was not just him who hated this voice. There were also others like him who hated this voice. There was also the minority who reveled in hearing this voice.

"Okay. We're good to go. Greetings inhabitants of Earth 9061! Once again, my name is Echo. I know you miss me so I came back to check up on you all. I am here to make an important announcement."

"Before that, I am opening another feature to help you all. This new feature is called the 'Shop.' Please say 'Shop.'"

"In the Shop Window, you will see the amount of Universal Coins you currently have. As an added bonus to brave souls, I will double the number of Universal coins you have."

From 213 coins, Haeckel's Universal Coins doubled to 426.

"Congratulations to all who have survived so far. The Shop Window, obviously, is a place where you can buy items and skills. My tip for you is that you should save up for skills that are more expensive. Most of them are available for a limited amount only so it's basically on a first come, first serve basis."

"Alright! Time for the next announcement." Echo giggled then continued. "Sorry for that I was too excited. The seven day tutorial period has now expired. I hope that you will all have fun."

"To make it fair for all of you, I have decided to give everyone a sword." A sword appeared in front of Haeckel, Chouji and all other humans.

"I know this is not fair at all. So, from now on, unless it is bought from the Shop, all items cla.s.sified as gun and all vehicles including planes, cars and motorcycles are hereby banned. Once again, have fun."

Immediately after Echo's voice disappeared, the engine of their aircraft became silent. A thousand feet above the land, the aircraft started to fall. Because of the speed of the descent, Haeckel and Chouji floated.

"Greta activate the energy field!" However, there was no response from the Artificial Intelligence. Haeckel swam towards the c.o.c.kpit and pulled a lever. Then, a green light surrounded the plane.

"Chouji! There's a lever under your chair. Pull that." Green light surrounded the Harbinger.

Meanwhile, Haeckel was moving towards his car. His heart was beating fast like never before. Adrenaline pushed him to overcome the limits of his mind and body. Unknown to him, his spirituality slowly rose.

The aircraft continued to descend. 200 feet then 100 feet. Haeckel opened the door and entered inside.

"****" Haeckel pulled a lever underneath his seat. A circle of green energy field appeared around his car. Then, he quickly strapped the seat belt on.

50 feet

40 feet

30 feet

20 feet

BOOM

The aircraft crashed in the middle of a rice paddy. Immediately upon cras.h.i.+ng, the energy field protecting the aircraft snuffed out like a candle being blown.

Inside the aircraft, the energy fields of the vehicles flickered on and off until it slowly dimmed out. Two men on two different vehicles were unconscious.
