The appearances of Elia and Teodore didn't catch the attention of the other members since they weren't the only ones dressing high-cla.s.s. Teodore casually glanced at the dinner menu and let out a soft whistle.
"Quite fancy," he commented.
Most of the dishes on the menu were written in a foreign language, making those who couldn't p.r.o.nounce the words feel awkward upon seeing them. Teodore gave Elia a mischevious look; he was waiting for Elia to become fl.u.s.tered and ask him for help.
On the other hand, Elia was in the middle of looking through the special ice cream menu with full focus. Teodore wasn't indeed lying to him, they really had ice cream flavours he had never tried before. He was excited so he didn't wait longer and called a waitress to order two different ice cream dishes. Since ice cream easily melted he would order for more later.
Teodore watched Elia speak Italian with wide eyes and almost staggered. He was shocked at the fact that Elia was fluent in Italian. The person on the opposite end of the table kept surprising him, on the surface, he didn't look anything special; just a university student with an ice cream obsession. What other talents was this person going to unveil? Teodore was becoming more curious and curious.
"Ice cream, I didn't know you can speak Italian. How did you learn it?" he asked.
Elia shrugged his shoulders and replied, "Half Italian."
"You're a half? Oh, that's interesting," Teodore said and asked another question, "What's the other half?"
Elia became silent for a few seconds before opening his mouth. "Teo, you… Aren't you going to order for yourself? You're making this poor waitress be in a tight spot. It's not good to waste other people's time."
Hearing this, the waitress standing beside the table shook her head and said it wasn't a big deal. Only then did Teodore remember they were still ordering and carelessly mentioned some dishes from the dinner menu and a bottle of wine.
While waiting for the food, they heard a loud voice coming from a few tables away.
The voice belonged to a woman who stood up from the chair. She looked to be angry at the man in front of her who had another woman sitting beside him. However, after some words from the man, the woman seemed to have calmed down and sat back on the chair.
Seeing that the little commotion had ended quickly Teodore wasn't interested any longer and s.h.i.+fted his gaze back at Elia. At the same time, a waitress came and placed two big dessert cups with ice cream on the table. Teodore had no idea how Elia was going to finish everything.
"You only ordered ice cream? That's unhealthy as h.e.l.l. At least eat proper food before that."
"It's never a bad time to eat ice cream."
Feeling helpless, Teodore said, "Whatever. Get a stomachache afterwards for all I care."
Elia didn't hesitate to gobble up the ice cream and didn't care to wait for Teodore to get his food. Teodore wasn't bothered and only watched Elia eat enthusiastically. His stomach has been empty the whole afternoon and seeing the food that arrived, as well as smelling the delicious scent coming from the dishes, he didn't hesitate to dig in.
Naturally, during the meal, Teodore didn't forget to feed Elia proper food. As soon as Elia finished his first ice cream dessert, he cut a piece of steak and picked it up along with a roasted potato bite with a fork.
"Before you start eating again, have this," Teodore said before he held his fork in front of Elia's mouth.
Elia slightly narrowed his eyes at the fork with food and slowly opened his mouth to put it inside. Only then was Teodore satisfied and retracted his fork and continued to eat. It wasn't good for Elia to eat ice cream only, he needed to eat proper food to be healthy. Moreover, the amount of ice cream Elia consumed made him feel like he had diabetes.
The sudden sound of a plate shattering brought him back to his senses; Teodore looked at the direction the sound came from. The people that caused the commotion was the same ones from before with the angry woman. She had stood up and thrown a plate beside the man to the floor.
She huffed and pointed her finger at the man and yelled, "How dare you do this me?! How dare you go behind my back and play with this s.l.u.t, even want to marry her?! Ren Yamamoto, I will never forgive you. You will regret this!"
Teodore frowned, not liking the noise. 'Annoying. Will it kill them to f.u.c.king stay quiet?'
It wasn't only him who felt the same, Elia didn't like how his ice cream time was being disturbed by loud noises that seemed to never end soon. He looked at the people some tables away from them with eyes so dark they couldn't be fathomed.
For a second, Teodore felt a murderous intent and got gooseb.u.mps. He immediately s.h.i.+fted his gaze to where he had felt it from, only to see Elia eating his ice cream. This made him confused and wondered if he was mistaken…
As if he noticed Teodore staring at him, Elia looked up and the two pair of eyes locked onto each other. Elia tilted his head in confusion with his spoon hanging from his mouth, looking quite silly.
Teodore kept looking at him before discarding his suspicions. 'Yeah, no way.'
"Hmph, whatever floats your boat. Just leave by tomorrow and never show up in front of me again."
The woman laughed maliciously. "You think I didn't know about this little play of yours? Oh, Ren… You poor little b.a.s.t.a.r.d. You and this wretch shall die here!"

The man only coldly said, "Jessica, you're crazy. To think I was together with someone like you… How hilarious."
"Don't, honey… I am sure Jess doesn't mean it. She just needs… time at the moment," the woman beside the man softly said.
"You—! Fine. Believe me or not but I've planted a bomb here. In a few minutes, this room will explode!"
The woman's voice was loud so everyone heard what she had said and shortly became alerted.
The man didn't take her words serious until he saw how confident she was. "What the… Are you f.u.c.king serious? You're mad!"
He was angry but also nervous; if what she said was true then he needed to escape right now! The woman beside him panicked, she held his arm tight. Both of them immediately tried to leave the room as the other people had already made their move.
However, the woman stopped them with a bread knife directed at them. She laughed and said, "Oh no, you two aren't going anywhere."
"Jessica, stop this! Let us go! Don't you have to leave too?"
"P-P-Please… Jess, we are wrong! I'm sorry! Please just let us go, okay?" The woman beside the man s.h.i.+vered in fear, tears flooding out from her eyes. She didn't want to die.
"No, it's too late. Actually, I feel like it's also good to die here. As long as you two die, I don't mind."
These people were not right in the mind, Teodore couldn't help but click his tongue. He stood up from the chair and grabbed Elia's wrist. "Let's go, ice cream. We need to leave before this place blows up."
"But…" Elia looked reluctantly at his unfinished ice cream.
Teodore knew exactly what he was thinking and the vein on his head bulged. "f.u.c.k your ice cream, and just run!"
Dragging him, Teodore ran as fast as he could to get out of the restaurant. Elia obediently followed him but in contrast to Teodore's behaviour, he was calm to the point he didn't look affected by the current situation they were in.
When they reached the emergency stairs, they hurriedly ran down the stairs to the exit door. As soon as they opened the door, they heard a loud blast from above and the building shook.
Once they got outside, they stopped running and breathed heavily, trying to catch their breath.
Teodore wiped his forehead with his sleeve. "That woman is f.u.c.king nuts… What the f.u.c.k was she even thinking?!"
They were fortunate that the explosion wasn't big enough to take down the whole building. They had escaped death. To think that they would run into such a situation… Teodore wasn't the least happy.
But more importantly, he was more worried about Elia. He was fine since it wasn't the first time he had experienced something like that, but Elia wasn't in the same world as him.
"Hey, ice cream, are you alright?"
Elia had sat down and although he lamented over his ice cream, he didn't show it on his face. "I'm fine… Just tired."
"Only that? f.u.c.k, you must be scared, right? It's okay, ice cream. This was completely unexpected but we are still alive. Let's get out of here."
The police sirens could be heard and it wasn't good for them to stay there unless they wanted to be questioned by the police and waste time. Elia nodded and they got in the car, leaving the place.
Elia didn't say anything during the drive and Teodore did the same thing, thinking that Elia was probably still shocked. It wasn't surprising for him to feel that. Luckily, none of them got injured during the process so they didn't need to go to the hospital. In the end, he didn't know how to comfort Elia and let him be.
'Should I buy him ice cream when we get back?'
