Moaning slightly Xiuying's body felt tired and heavy as she felt a small weight on her arm. Slowly opening her eyes, the bright light on the ceiling strung her eyes. Blinking her eyes she gazed around the room silently only to find herself once again inside her room at her aunty's home. Turning her head to the weight on her arm she smiled slightly as she spotted Fengge sitting on the chair beside her bed. His head resting on the bed as he held on tightly to her hand as if afraid to let go with a deep frown on his face. Weakly she reached out with her free hand to brush away the bangs from his face before pressing her index finger against the tense spot between his eyebrows.

His browns twitched a bit in discomfort before moving away from the touch trying to fall back asleep. At the sound of her soft laugh, Fengge began waking up from his sleep before glancing up at Xiuying staring back at him with a smile.

"Brother Feng, why are you sleep here?" She asked him worriedly before his eyes widen with the sudden realization she was awake.

"Xiuying! Are you feeling alright? Are you thirsty? Hungry?" He questioned her sitting up straight as his eyes scanned her face for any discomfort. Shaking her head she frowned before she looked around the room once more.

"Brother Fengge, What am I doing here? Wasn't I at school." She said looking around confused as she tried to recall what had happened before only coming up with blanks. She could only recall going to the library, after that she couldn't remember what had happened.

"You fainted and someone took you to the nurse's office. When I got there they told me you had probably fainted from stress and a fever."Fengge said with a deep frown as he raised his hand gently touching her forehead as he checked her still high temperature

"I'm sorry. I must have made you worry." Xiuying said with a frown before Fengge sighed moving his hand away.

"Xiuying, You scared me when they came and told me you had fainted," Fengge confessed as he ran his fingers through his hair bending his head down with another sigh.

"I'm sorry," Xiuying said lifting her hand to touch the top of his head before something caught her attention. Raising his head he followed her line of gaze to the IV she was connected to. With a small smile, he reached out wrapping a hand around hers placing it down on the bed.

"Mother had the doctor come by and he put the IV on you. He also prescribed some other medicines to help you sleep at night at least." Fengge said with a sigh as soon as he saw the frown appear on her face.

"I don't want to take any more medicine, I only have nightmares when I sleep," Xiuying said as she sat up hugging her knees close.

"You have to," Fengge said with a bitter face as he felt a flaming rage in his chest as he looked down at the broken girl in front of him wanting to tear the person who had hurt her to pieces.

"Do I?" Xiuying muttered with a small tremble in her voice. Kneeling beside the bed Fengge reached out taking hold of Xuiying's hand in his own as he gave her a small smile.

"I want you to get better, to feel safe and happy again. To smile once again. I won't let that darkness harm you anymore."

With a gasp, Xiuying's eyes widen at his words before a slight blush appeared on her cheeks as she took in the position he was in. Kneeling in front of her with a kind smile like all those princes she once read about as a child. He really was her knight and s.h.i.+ning amour.

"Me too! Me too! I won't let anyone bully Xiuying!" Another voice cried out a small head popped out from nowhere besides the kneeling Fengge with a stubborn look on his face. Gazing down surprised at Huiliang's sudden appearence Xiuying couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. The heavy feeling in her chest vanis.h.i.+ng as a smile finally appeared on her face.

So the sly fox really is good for something. Chuckling Fengge felt relieved seeing the smile appear on her face.

All he ever wanted was her smile.
