There was a great silence in the room. The bad type. I blinked for just a moment. Not believing she would give me all the details so easily. Then I knew something was wrong.

"I don't have anything involved with that detail. Ceyx made us a deal. We make the room for free if we get to harvest half the magic. Then she helps us sell it over the black market. We have been bathing in gold Mendelian for the last few weeks. " She said smiling surgery sweet. "I'd be free in a couple more weeks."

The word gold Mendelian and free were a bad combination. Those that deal with items like that were the devils.

I felt pity.
