Grandmother hasn't change since she founded the company after the Great War. She is still rather haughty being and held on to certain beliefs so everyone that worked with there had some kind of connection to magic, some more than others. Judging from the project size, it had to be the idea of someone from her inner circle. It explains why my aunts couldn't do anything even after seeing it in their past life and this life.
There were certain exceptions for family especially the younger generation. This was my problem. It was going to hurt.
"Phi" I called out.
The Phoenix appears in sparkle of sliver. I grab her legs and she takes me to see my dear old grandmother.
We appear at her office I must rather walk a long dark creepy hallway than go thought the golden doors. Phi was smart enough to leave me stranded she too knew of my grandmother the hold of the dark purple aura a destroyer. I took my time taking the elevator. I hate climbing stairs. For other magical beings elevators were bad, they cut forces but for me it was like a safe room with all the mirrors in it, the tattoos would keep me safe, no evil could harm me as the mirrors reflect my spells.
"You!" Steel Adam shouted.
"Me," I confirmed smirking, "I need to talk to her, Steel. Can I see her, now?"
He was the secretary's secretary of my grandmother. I knew him from when I was renovating the vault with her team as we were family.
It was horrible. My aunts had a.s.sembled a fifty page summary outlining their rules. Included were spreadsheets tallying things that needed enchanted, list of items to specification, and a complete detail on security. It was a nightmare. Getting the short end of the stick he had to handle the entire process. From hireling contractors to making sure the wood cabinets were the right color and my aunts were slave driver so I didn't blame him for the look on his face.
"She'll be free in two hours." he said resuming his quite polite persona.
"Really, I'm not going to take a long time. Just a few words, it's really important." I said casually as he looked down his book. "Steel did you know that I still haven't gotten around into decorating it yet. Been too busy I like to talk to her about it?"
It was a slap in the face. He wince. Getting everything down there was a nightmare. The workers weren't too keen that spells had been place limiting what could be done with magic. I didn't do it on purpose. There were things had to come first and decorating was low on my scale. I did the necessaries like the sitting room and one of the bathrooms then put off doing the rest until I had time to sort things out. I wished that there was forty eight hours a day and maybe I'll have time to sleep.
