Turning to Ronnie, I look at her staring at blood trails. She looked grim. Her aura was changing. I watched fascinated.
"Did you find any crystal or any stone here?"
"Nope, I'll let you know if I find anything out," she spoke and retreated back.
She headed off to talk with someone else. A clear dismissal that was very effective. Glancing down at my watch I paused. It was almost ten in the evening. Looking around I don't think there was anything else for me to do so it was time to go home.
I mulled things over as I drove. This had become my appointed duty to take whoever was behind this all and I wasn't any closer than on Friday. Being the last on the list of appropriate person to handle the situation with my different set of morals. I really wonder why the Knights stayed. I was a mess.
"Hey, did you get anything on Jenny and Sonia?" I asked before I was out the door.
"Oh, I forgot about that it seems like Jenny liked Sonia. She had a s.h.i.+re made." Ronnie said shrugging as if it was not important, "Stalkerish. Sort of cute and creepy. But very normal in my line of work."
It took me a moment to see through her line. It would seem the chief and everyone had their own agenda. I was out of the loop.
"Sure, so we even known since you're not paying me." I asked,
Ronnie gave a shrug, I sign. This was the worst. Seeing a puzzle but being not able to solve it is very frustrating. I did find a small link between Jenny and Sonia.
However it pointed that I was looking at it wrong, Jenny love was for Sonia. Not a male and she'd never let Sonia be in the room making love to a male without watching her. There was no such thing as coincident so I had to find the connection between magic, Jenny and Sonia. I knew there was one more thing I need to check and I didn't want it to be true so I was going to put off a little while at least until I was home and the reality of not being Knight mate hit me.
