A black man, no beard and very muscular. This guy was so muscular that he made some body builders want to cry for their mommies. He clothes where showing his broad chest. A 160kg (about 350 pounds) of raw muscle at 1.70m (about 5'7 feet). He had brown almost black eyes and preferred the no hair look.
He used his staff to pick himself up.
He made a swiping motion off his interfaces, "The jobs done. The little freaks are dead. Where is my payment."
Some female in a suit appeared and smiled, "You did well. I have another job for you."
He waved it off, "Not interested."
He closed the call, and made his way out,
Outside he looked upwards towards the towards the artificial barrier protecting them from the planet's extremities.
These types of barrier could only function in areas where there is a strong concentration of dark-matter miasma is found.
Due to the fact that the miasma actually creeped from planet earth all the way to Ura.n.u.s. It meant that these barriers could practically be deployed anywhere in the system making colonization even in the most inhospitable of conditions.
The only problem with this was its limitation to dark matter saturated areas and of course areas with high gravity was also inhospitable.
Some scientists even suggested that they recreate the Switzerland experiment on of the moons of Jupiter, but due to the extreme volatility it was never really tried for except under extreme precaution. Those experiments resulted in failures 90% of the time, and the times it did work it closed in on itself of a few seconds.
The Lund Experiment was a freak occurrence. Some scientist even threw advanced AI devices to get readings but even that could only result in some minor findings.
The Switzerland tear is still highly active to this day, but it never gained power or decreased in power.
He shrugged off the thought as he made his way towards his local hangout. So many racists in the system. A petty grudge resulted in the deaths of fifty dwarves, innocent or otherwise. Law on that planet was pretty lackl.u.s.ter due to a lack of parties willing to invest on the planet.
He made his way through the door, and heard a familiar voice. His best friend, and on and off lover.
Her name was Aimee. She was a Demon with slightly off red skin color. Two horns that went backwards past her temples. She had neatly black braided hair and yellow eyes with a tinge of green in it. With a pet.i.te built at 1.52m (about 5 feet) and weighed about 60kg (about 132 pounds). She had a surprisingly innocent looking face.
Ekon sat at the table she was eating at, and said, "What is a beautiful double S rank doing in this neck of the woods."
She lightly laughed at it, "What are you talking about. Ain't I allowed to see my favorite miser."
"Oi, since when have I become a miser?"
She moved a drink that had a green color in it towards him, "Sanderían whiskey. They actually had a bottle of this stuff here."
Ekon was pleasantly surprised. He loved the stuff but it was pretty rare on t.i.tan. Always on the lookout for something similar.
He took a small sip savoring the taste, and sighed contentedly, "Aah, that hits the spot. So why are you really here? Weren't you on a job on earth?"
"Yeah, but the job's done. So I got a new one."
"I do not like the sound of that."
"Yip I was only told to give you this". She handed him a small piece of paper.
Ekon looked at the piece of paper like some sort of alien, "Who the h.e.l.l uses paper these days."
She shrugged, "Don't know. Don't care. My work here is done, lover."
He opened the piece of paper. It had contact details of someone.
He frowned at this, "Tell whomever it was, that I ain't interested."
She raises her hand to stop him, "It's the mother of all paydays. Some seriously influential person is pulling the string behind this one. Why not call and find out."
Ekon sighed. He had a hard time usually to say no to Aimee," Fine. Don't drink my share."
She laughed, "Can't make promises. Hurry up and get back."
He gets to a private area and call the number. A well-dressed blonde woman answers, "I take it you are this Ekon?"
Ekon frowns another business suit, "This had better be good."
Ekon found the woman familiar but couldn't place his finger on it.
A 2d picture appears right next to the blonde woman, I want out to take out this girl, but be careful. She has a good bodyguard."
She sends him all the relevant information.
Ekon looked over the information. It even had details of the fight between Allen and Conner. This bit peaked him. He was always rearing for a good fight, "You've got my attention miss?"

"My name is irrelevant." Of course it was.
"I need to keep this out of the limelight. Can you do it?"
"Perhaps I should tell you that I am a mercenary for hire, but I think I can pull it off."
Allen was drooling all over the table in the integration room, when he was woken with a start.
The made a uncharacteristically high pitched sound sliding open making Allen rub his throat trying to get his hart back in place. Allen commented stupidly, "So as I was saying she left the desert unattended which I say was the real crime. See, I'm innocent."
Lucas was already fixed up by the time he returned to the station. He just looked at Allen like some sort of alien, "What are you talking about?"
Allen only then realized it wasn't a dream and that he really was at the police station, "I plead the fifth." He says nonchalantly.
Lucas just stares at him, "What does that even mean?"
Allen remained obstinately quiet. This grates Lucas a bit, "Look we only want your version of what happened?"
"Some idiots tried to kill my generous host…thing. Did I say that right?"
Lucas sat back into his chair making an indecipherable face, "You know I have been tracking your movement for three months now."
Allen shrugged as Lucas continued, "And not once have I seen anything that could be considered problematic. Yet here we are."
Allen sniffed like he didn't have a care in the world, and said nothing.
"We can release you if you have something to say."
"It was self-defence I tell you. Self-defences."
"Huh?…we aren't talking about the fact that you defended yourself. We are talking about the fact that you let one of them go.
"I was too weak to fight back."
"Bulls.h.i.+t, how was this man's blood found in an area with no battle damage"
"One of life's greatest mysteries." An obvious and blatant lie.
Lucas ma.s.sages his forehead. A holo pops up of Conner, "His name is Conner De Franco. A wanted S cla.s.s criminal for several counts of murder."
That made Allen's face twitch a bit. A known felon with a nasty track record, and he let him go.
Allen sighed at the news, "I only wanted the hit off MeLing."
Lucas nods he saw some logic in this, "Can we use him?"
"For what?"
"Anything really."
Allen did want Conner in his pocket, this was a way he could use him, "Sure, I don't see any problem with that."
Lucas smiled emphatically, "Then that's that. You have done this city a great service. Due to extenuating circ.u.mstances no charges will be made. You are free to go under the condition that we get information when needed."
Allen frowned at this, "I don't like being manipulated like this"
Lucas sighed, "Call it a necessary evil, besides we need to bring that man down one way or another. If this brings us closer to him so be it."
Allen frowned and could only nod. His day was already as s.h.i.+tty as it was and now this. Screw life!
He went out the weird screeching door, and remarked, "This door need oil."
Lucas just shook his hand as he left and smiled.
MeLing was waiting for him as he arrived and the first thing he said to her in a moody tone, "Can't we go get some ice-cream?"
She smiles radiantly and hooked him by the arm, "We can get all the ice-cream your heart desire."
Allen found the att.i.tude a bit disconcerting, "Why the smile?"
In a genuine tone she says, "You saved my life not once, but twice. Even against the odds you stood up for me even if it meant getting into trouble."
He tried shaking her off but she held firmly, "Uuhg, don't go getting all sappy on me."
In a jokingly she replied, "You might even make a girl fall in love with you."
For the first time ever a vein pops up on his forehead, "GET OF ME BROAD!"
