A small firebrand installed near that entrance granted light to the dark, gloomy room. Abruptly Abium recollected what occurred to him and Umi before. He was sure those infected spores affected him.
A moaning noise emerged from the edge of that room caused Abium pause for a second, and he remarked Nicolaus appears to be beaten down, and his mouth itself enveloped in some cloth. He also beaten to pulp and bruises spotted all across his body.
On the opposite side, he discerned Fennelis, and Umi placed unconsciously. He swiftly felt confused for a sec and also felt relieved. He doesn't remember who locked them up in this dark room, but they haven't done anything to them yet except some beating to Nicolaus and Abium.
Suddenly, the front entrance opened, and Abium saw a skeleton figure arrived from the outside. The hollows seem the same as the one he saw inside that mining cave. Those pair of blue sockets gazed towards his direction. Once it discerned Abium awoke and stood on the opposite side, it immediately retreated away and ready to engage.
Abium studied that skeleton and observed it was a skeleton warrior. While he continued examining the information, that skeleton warrior stepped ahead and delivered a thrust on his chest. He attempted to evade, but the range was too small. Once the blow landed on his chest, he continued propelled backward and dropped on the ground.
He abruptly felt that the skeleton was looking down on him and seemed to be smirking. Then it spoke to him in some language, but he couldn't understand a little. He now confirmed plainly that these skeletons were capable of interacting with others.
He could say with a single glance; its strength was the same as skeleton a.s.sa.s.sin. After it started to mumbled in some foreign language for a few moments, it chose to give up. Then it took a poorly looking book from the bag and tossed it in front of his face.
It was the first time Abium saw undead carrying a book and made him felt creepy. Although that book appeared like poorly made, Abium felt some spiritual power within that book.
In his memory, the undead were non-living beings and only controlled by necromancers for the fight. But here he observed this undead treated him like a slave. Abium gave a hateful glare at that undead and slowly sat on the ground. Once that skeleton warrior threw that book on his face, it walked off from there and locked the doorway completely.
Abium moved from there and began to wake others up. Once everyone was wake up, Nicolaus asked in a perplexed tone.
"Where the heck are we? Can you explain to us how we are captured and locked here? How did we escape from that wyvern?"
"Oh? Thank Umi for saving both of your lives. If not for her bravery, I believe both of you would be long dead. After we killed that wyvern, this undead ambushed us, and we both lost consciousness." Abium responded.
"She did what!?" Nicolaus abruptly rose up and gawked with wide eyes. Because he remembered she was simply a naive child and didn't even speak audibly sometimes. His last moment before he lost his conscious was that wyvern stood before Umi with wide-opened jaws.
Meanwhile, Fennelis arose up and began caressing her daughter with teary eyes. It was the second time she almost lost her daughter. She also felt weak even she had the strength of Elite rank. While she was in thought, a sentence that appeared from Abium's mouth made her eyes open wide.
"Ah! Umi broke through into n.o.ble rank. Although her strength and agility might be meager, it will start to improve after some time."
"What!? How is that possible??"
Both Fennelis and Nicolaus asked in a shocked tone because broke through into n.o.ble rank itself provided them a higher position in the beast kingdom. Abium grinned and slowly took that book and began to read the front page.
He understood the skeletons captured them because of some reason. Also, he wanted to comprehend more regarding this plane. It was an unknown language book. Suddenly, a mental wave emerged from that book to his mind.
[Unknown spirit requesting authorization to transfer information? Y/N]
Abium froze there for a second on the spot and thought of what to do next. It was the first time Abium detected some spirit seeking to ask permission. After pondering for a short time, he determined to click 'yes.'
"This is....." Abium grabbed his head and discovered that many images and words appeared in his brain along with acute pain. He swiftly used his spirit to stimulate Edietic memory and memorized those images and words within a second. He stared at the book, and the first word appeared was 'Basic Nether language.'
He identified its unusual artifact used to transmit information. He presented that book to others, and after a few moments, everyone able to read that book without any issue.
All of them stayed in that room and didn't attempt to escape away from that place. Abium and others instantly understand these skeletons were intelligent beings like them. Even if they run away, those skeletons might come after them.
The following morning, that same undead warrior came to that room and ordered them in the same Nether language. But this time, everyone clearly understood magically.
"Who are you? Why did you come here?"
Abium went forth a step then answered.
"I am Abium; we came to this realm by some mishap! Sir! Do you know any method to travel back to our World?"
That skeleton stopped there for a moment and asked in a puzzled tone.
"What is the World? Is that place far away?"
Abium stared at the undead warrior and a.s.sumed it didn't know anything about different worlds. With his knowledge, Abium knew there were multiple worlds there outside like this undead plane.
Although this was the first time he traveled to another plane in the whole life, he knew some information about those worlds.
'Hah! I a.s.sume it doesn't know anything about humans.'
"Do you know any other person resembles us?" Abium asked.
It stared at Abium for a moment, then s.h.i.+fted its gaze towards others and eventually shook its head.
"No! Why don't you have any bones? What are you made of?" It delivered a simplistic expression and demanded.
"Ugh, we came from a different place. Sir, do you know someone who knows more knowledge about this place?" Abium considered asking this because this skeleton won't provide them anything, and he asked about some intelligent undead or high-rank undead.
"Oh! Are you talking about Lord Skaktak?"
'What with that name? Ha! Anyways, finally, I received some information from this skeleton!' A glimpse of hope appeared in his eyes.
"Yes! Can you take us to him?" Abium hurriedly asked.
It stared at them, then agreed.
"Follow me! But don't attempt to escape and kill my soldiers as you did it before in the cave. I will kill you all."
Abium glanced at others and eventually figured that the skeleton was despised them for killing that soldier. He realized why they treated like that. Abium signaled others to follow that skeleton warrior.
When they finally got out of the room and saw they were still in that abandoned mining cave. Suddenly Abium noticed that the skeleton warrior's white bone had some black marks appeared everywhere and asked.
"What are those black marks?"
Abium asked as he pointed those black marks while others also came near and looked towards that area in puzzlement. He knew asking too many questions might infuriate this skeleton, but he asked that skeleton anyway. What he required now was information about this undead World.
The undead warrior nodded at Abium's question, then took out metal from his pouch and bite it. Abium and others nearly dropped their jaws because what that undead bite was the very precious metal 'Mithril.'
Gradually that black marks started to vanish from the white bones.
"Is it some diseases?" Fennelis asked curiously.
"Yes! Lord Skaktak said some outsiders spread it. I don't know who they are, but Lord once said they emerged from heaven."
'Heaven, huh? Are there any other races in this undead plane?' Another doubt arose in his mind while all of them were walking outside that mining cave. He noticed many ordinary skeleton soldiers and elite skeleton soldiers continued working in that mining cave and digging ores.
"What are they doing?" Nicolaus asked while he pointed towards those undead soldiers. Abium s.h.i.+fted his gaze towards the skeleton warrior and waited for the answer.
But that undead warrior swiftly unsheathed its broad sword and aimed it towards Nicolaus and spoke.
"I don't like you! You killed my minion, and if you speak one word, I will chop your head." It hatefully stared towards Nicolaus and advanced.

Skeleton warrior's response caused others to end their questions. There was a total of nearly three hundred more soldiers working and patrolling inside the cave. Once Abium and others stepped outside, at least half of those undead soldiers stepped forth and stood before that skeleton warrior. A hundred of those undead skeletons started to enclose them.
Then everyone swiftly marched out of the cave and went towards a direction. Even if Abium considered fleeing from this protection, he knew it would be a fruitless attempt. While they were traveling, he noticed all those areas were utterly wrecks and only found few withered weeds.
The sun seems to be still lurking in that darkness. The wind blows fastened everywhere, and dust mingled with those winds. It obstructed their vision and caused it difficult for Abium and others to breath. Abium saw that the skeleton warrior and other skeletons appear to be not minding that and proceeded to walk.
Abium suddenly observed a great sand cyclone emerged on their right side. Those black clouds in that sky grew denser, and the roaring noises reverberated everywhere. This point, undead warrior commanded the other undead soldiers to march faster — beams of lightening fells from the sky and incinerated those withering poisonous trees from time to time.
A drop of liquid fell from the atmosphere on the crest of a nearby undead soldier. The next second, a frightful scene, appeared on Abium's and other's visions. Other undead soldiers instantly drew their weapon and immediately killed their kin without wavering.
Abium and others felt chills all over their bodies. At the same time, a small building appeared on his sight; then, a skeleton warrior commended everyone drove there hastily.
Abium was astounded to found a building in that area where they marched ahead. He discerned two small hills defended that mansion from severe hurricanes and storms.
A few elite soldiers and several undead warriors, a.s.sa.s.sins, hunters appeared in front of their sight. They stood before the entrance gate and stared at Abium's and other's appearance very curiously.
"Grurdin! What are they? Why are you bringing them here?" A giant skeleton appeared ahead, hindering their path and asked in a domineering tone.
"Captain Rit'zyk! I discovered them near my mining cave, and after I apprehended them, I thought of asking our Lord to what to do with them."
Abium glanced at that Rit'zyk and scanned at the same time. He quickly read that information from the scan and found out this undead was a Dark Knight. Its height itself was at least three meters high while carrying a broadsword on its back. What made Abium felt more startled was its strength and agility. He didn't read it mistakenly and noticed they almost reached 9.
That captain Rit'zyk grunted himself and let them in after an in-depth look. Those undead skeletons never saw a creature like this except those sky beings.
When Abium walked into the courtyard, he felt a little worried and thought he and others should have escaped before. He witnessed so many mid-rank undead monsters like skeleton a.s.sa.s.sins, warriors, death knights, etc. on the way.
Once they entered the mansion, he and others saw that mansion appears to be further damaged. They marched and stood in front of the large gate. A stern voice reverberated from inside a large hall made them s.h.i.+ver a little.
"Who entered without my permission? If you don't have any business, then get the h.e.l.l out!"
It was so powerful which almost staggers the mansion a little. This time Grurdin stepped ahead and responded.
"Lord! I am Grurdin from the Camrock hills region. I captured some individuals near the area, and they were saying they came from the outer land, my Lord."
Next instant, the great hall opened, and all of them noticed a small skeleton sat on a big throne-like chair. Abium noted that the chair was made complete of skeleton bones. A minute spiritual wave emerged from that skeleton, and it scanned all of them. Abium instantly knew this skeleton was proficient in using mental waves.
"Oh? Humans and beast kins! It's sporadic to see any visitors to this plane. Where are you from Visitors?" that small skeleton asked.
Abium didn't know what cla.s.s it belongs, but he guessed it must be some higher rank undead.
Then he stepped forth and answered.
"We arrived here due to some accidents from Easica maternal plane. We don't know how to travel back to our World, and we need your help, Lord Skaktak" Abium requested.
"Well! I do wish to a.s.sist you all, but we don't have any facilities like planetary teleportation gates in this lower plane. So, I have a proposal for you."
Once Lord Skaktak uttered those words, Abium sensed an ominous feeling in his heart. While Abium was contemplating, that small skeleton continued.
"You all will serve me for the following two years on mining; then, I will ask my friend to send you to your plane."
Once that skeleton finishes the word, a sudden spiritual wave a.s.saulted their mind.
