The newly found option which Fraser pondered upon was the fact that he wasn't restricted to selling potion to only one inner circle.

He could sell potions to all of the ten inner circles. Maybe some normal apprentices would gather a few materials from the howling abyss in order to trade with him.

Since the materials in the howling abyss weren't that rare and could be gathered with ease, even a normal human might harvest up to one hundred fire eggs or enor stones within a single hour.

The only problem was the fact that monster roamed the howling abyss and the environment would be rather dangerous for a normal human.

But all of them were apprentices. Meaning that all of them had a stronger physique or would have enough spirit to defend themselves.

'Even if they are completely new apprentices, as long as they group with other people they should be able to gather materials for one of the three basic potions that I am able to create.'

Just as Fraser arrived into the more popular section of the outpost, a screaming somebody pa.s.sed by and Fraser could hear the message of the scream:

"THE TIDE STARTED, THE MONSTERS ARE HERE! THE TEN MAGI ARE OUTSIDE OF THE OUTPOST AND ARE FACING AGAINST THE TIDE!"

When Fraser heard that ten magi would be facing a tide of monsters, he immediately changed course from the inner circle room of Magus Sept towards the entrance of the howling abyss.

His eight servants followed him, three of the servants still carried a wooden crate of their own.

When Fraser arrived at the large entrance towards the howling abyss, he could see a ma.s.s of apprentices already standing there.

A sea of dark robes covered his view and the only thing that Fraser could see was a sea of faces excitingly talking about stuff.

Without even caring about their wellbeing, Fraser didn't stop his walking pace and because his servants still had a formation which protected him and the three servants holding wooden crates the servant would soon crash into the first apprentice.

Naturally, the apprentice took notice of Fraser and his eight followers, but as he came late and only had to blame himself for not being able to be on the foremost row, he was a little bit angry.

"How dare you…."

That stereotypical sentence of an angry sn.o.b came out of his mouth and before the apprentice could finish his sentence, the servant walking in front of Fraser already grabbed the apprentice and flung him through the air.

A single scream could be heard from the apprentice and the continuous whimpering caused a reaction in front of the entourage.

Like a knife cutting into b.u.t.ter, the sea of apprentices parted in front of Fraser's servants and a pa.s.sage formed.

Nine concealed figures walking towards the howling abyss caused whispering to start among the normal apprentices.

Some apprentice looked like they were enraged and wanted to leash out but no one dared in the end.

When Fraser stepped into the howling abyss, he didn't saw the forest filled with mist.

Instead, all he saw was a plain and his eyesight allowed him to see pretty far.

Ten figures stood in relatively far distance to each other.

When the Frasers group continued their march into the howling abyss in order to get a better view, a female voice sounded from the sea of apprentices.

At that voice, a silent spread through the entrance.

"If I were you, then I wouldn't do that. Our honored Mentor who has all attained the rank of Magus have forbidden anyone from stepping into the howling abyss for too long. Retreat or else you will face the punishment of the Magi."

When Fraser looked back in order to find the source of the voice, he could see that it was a white-haired woman. Her white iris fixated her gaze upon Fraser who was the only one from his group that turned his head around.

The silence continued for a while before a laughter sound echoed:

"Hahahaha, so the first one to arrive is a group of nine mutes and the mutt from the north crawls into the a.s.s of his owner, hahahahaha."

At that insult, the white-haired woman gritted her teeth before unwillingly staring at the source.

Fraser also looked towards the source and could see that it was one of the ten figures who stood on the plain.

It was a handsome youth who wore a white robe that laughed and insulted Fraser and the white-haired woman at the same time.

"It would be me that would have won the bet if not for the fact…." boomed a voice next to to the handsome youth.

"Shut up. I swear you guys always have a huge pole stabbed into your a.s.s." interrupted the handsome youth before turning towards Fraser and spoke:

"So, whom inner circle do you belong? You see we Magi have a bet going on which apprentice arrives first. Just walk to him."

Saying that, the handsome youth turned towards the person who complained, it was a middle-aged man with a sword strapped around his waist and taunted:

"You can now call your mutt to lick your feet. Hahahahahah."

Fraser started to walk towards Magus Sept while a.n.a.lyzing the other Magi. Of the ten Magi, most of them were rather plain looking. Seven of them looked like normal middle-aged men who had a beard. One was a handsome youth.

The only female in the round looked like a shriveled potato. Not like a kind grandmother, instead, she looked like a hideous zombie that somehow started to live.

Why did Fraser think she is female? Simply because she wore a pink robe and had golden accessories dangling from her body. Golden earrings, a golden amulet, golden wristbands and a fur scarf covering her neck.

Even though Magus Sept looked like a normal middle-aged man at glance, you could feel that something was different. His build was rather slim and since the last time Fraser saw him, he had shaved off his beard.

Arriving in front of Magus Sept, Fraser commanded all of his servants to bow at the same time.

In synchro the nine figures bowed in front of Magus Sept while only Fraser spoke:

"I greet Mentor Sept."

This caused a smile to appear on Magus Sept face before turning towards the other Magi and saying:

"I guess I have won the bet."

In return, the other nine Magi groaned but didn't do anything else. The middle-aged Magus with the sword called the white-haired to walk to him, causing the handsome youth to continue his taunt.

"So, I might ask myself: Who are you? I don't remember having an apprentice who has eight followers." spoke Magus Sept.

"I am Fraser, I joined the howling abyss last year and…" replied Fraser.

However, Magus Sept interrupted Frasers self-introduction and instead asked:

"So how have your studies advanced in Alchemy? I may not help you in your overall studies, but as you picked Alchemy, the subject in which I major in, I should be able to help you."

A smile appeared on Magus Sept before turning toward the three wooden crates.

"These should hold your potions. Am I allowed to see them?"
