Time pa.s.sed.

'Am I dead?'

As Fraser finally had one thought he asked himself the question whether he was still alive.

'I can only remember getting eaten by the insect which I wanted to mark with my spirit brand.'

Touching his head Fraser tried to open his eyes which he surprisingly was able to do.

Glancing around Fraser could see that his former room was a mess.

Everything was destroyed, even the bed on which he lied.

Gla.s.s fragments and chipping were scattered next to his bed.

A foul smell entered Fraser's nose and he quickly found the source of the smell.

A single piece of meat was located next to his bed.

Wondering what happened Fraser tried to remember what happened.

However, he still felt a little bit tired and using his brain felt like moving an entire mountain.

Without a clear vision of the thing that happened Fraser asked the only thing that might have seen the entire procedure of him trying to brand the yellow insect.

'AI, what happened?'

[UNKNOWN…. RE-CALCULATING]

With a shocked expression, Fraser sighed inwardly.

'Does that mean the AI is gone? At least I am still alive. I didn't know what happened. I can only remember the agony and darkness.'

Slowly Fraser stood up while examine his entire body.

Nothing changed, it was the body he remembered.

As if dragging a mountain Fraser walked towards a mirror step by step.

'It feels like that my body doesn't belong to me anymore.'

Glancing into the mirror Fraser saw his usual self.

A young man at the age of 13 belonging to the n.o.bles.

The feature of belonging to a n.o.ble was the following: a little bit chubby, a slightly arrogant look when inspected upon closer look and the straight posture which followed after endless lessons of n.o.ble etiquette.

Everything seemed fine at first glance, however, Fraser noticed one change.

'Why are my eyes yellow?'

To be honest, the eye still was the eye of a human. However, the Iris of the eye had the color yellow.

The same yellow of the insect which tried to devour Fraser.

Apparently, the realization which dawned upon Fraser weakened him.

Like a human seeking for water, Fraser stumbled back to his broken bed which now only consisted of a mattress and a wooden structure which seemed to crumble at any moment.

Letting himself fall upon the bed Fraser tried to think about the things that happened.

'I only tried to mark the yellow insect with my spirit brand. Didn't expect that this action would endanger me in such a way.'

As soon as Fraser felt the softness of his bed he immediately fell into the soft embrace of sleep.

Though he didn't expect to fall into sleep.

After Fraser woke up he immediately felt refreshed. Like he had taken a good and long rest.

'AI, what happened when I tried to spirit brand the yellow insect? I can only remember that somehow the insect was able to devour my spirit and almost devoured my brain. Was I able to crush the insect with my physical body? Or did my spirit somehow overwhelm the insect's spirit?'

Fraser tried once more to contact his AI, as the AI only replied that it re-calculated. Meaning that the AI needed time for itself to do something.

[RE-CALCULATION COMPLETED]

[The data of the attack is incomplete. Last remaining memory in the database only contains the moment when hosts detonated his two spell models]

'So something weird happened that allowed me to survive the attack of the yellow insect. Shouldn't the detonation of the spell models cripple a huge part of my spirit? AI, show me my body stats.'

[4.89 strength, 6.57 agility, 2.89 vitality, 7.13/7.13 spirit]

Shocked Fraser glanced at his body stats which seemed to be inhuman.

'AI, how come that my spirit almost doubled? Also, how does my body have these ridiculous amounts of the physical stats?'

[UNKNOWN – reformed hosts body]

'AI, what do you mean by UNKNOWN?'

[Information not in the database, high chance the reformation happened in the time period when host was unconscious]

Pretty much confirming that the body reforming happened after Fraser blackened out he immediately looked into his spirit room, which confirmed that something changed.

Instead of the square formed spirit room which had jelly walls, a round sphere awaited him which also had jelly walls and contained his spirit within.

The only difference was that somehow the sphere room had two distinct colors.

Yellow and black seemed to mix in the sphere room.

Also, there was an almost sickening amount of runes which were inscribed on the sphere formed spirit room.

There was no sight for the spell models, which, after Fraser detonated them shouldn't be a surprise. However, Fraser still felt a little bit bad as the two dark rope spell models he formed would eventually become his first magic spell.

'AI, why is my spirit room, or spirit sphere inscribed with runes? Does it mean that the two spell models I detonated somehow imprinted themselves on my spirit?'

[Negative, none of the runes inscribed on the spirit sphere resembles that of the dark rope spell model which automatically eliminates the possibility of the spell model imprinting itself on your spirit sphere]

'Then is there anything in the database which might lead to a hint on what the runes inscribed on my spirit are able to do?'

[An unknown memory file is in the database which might have a lead on what the runes inscribed on your spirit spere are for, preparing to initialize the necessary knowledge transfer]

While the AI prepared the knowledge transfer Fraser started to sort through his private chamber in order to check whether everything has been alright the moment he pa.s.sed out.

A thin layer of dust covered everything, from the wooden tables to the equipment Fraser used.

Walking through his chamber covered in a thin layer of dust a short memory that his private chamber resembled the normal starting of a horror movie shot through Fraser's head, however, it disappeared as it appeared.

A high pitched scream destroyed the silence and a black shadow pounced towards Fraser.

He didn't react and only felt a tiny weight pressing up against his body while the screaming sound turned into a sobbing sound.

It was the baby bat which now was a former ghost of itself. The former round body turned into a skeleton and now the only thing that made it cute was the fluffy fur which still had its former cuteness.

Glancing around his chamber Fraser immediately saw that almost all of his gla.s.s jars filled with the parts of the corpses were still intact.

Though some jars showed signs of being filled with maggots which indicated from poor storing, most materials were still useable.

So Fraser opened one of the gla.s.s jars filled with meat in order to feed the baby bat.

Like a hungry predator, the baby bat pounced upon the preserved piece of meat and devoured it as if it was the most delicious thing in the world.

[Knowledge transfer prepare, initiation activate-able]

Moving back to his bed Fraser initiated the knowledge transfer.

'AI, activate the knowledge transfer of the unknown file.'
