"I guess so," I replied. It was true that I was doing much better after I returned from Lilith's place.
Aunt Emi put little Luna down on the ground. I bent down to say h.e.l.lo to little Luna but she totally ignored me and walked inside. Luna entered the living room on her own, not even caring about her big sister. Her baby legs were so fast that it appeared as if she was searching for her long lost friend. I was stupefied. Not long ago, she only wanted to be around me all the time. I stayed in that awkward position until aunt Emi stepped forward. She chuckled and gave me a hug.
We both followed after Luna. Little Luna was looking around the room as if she was searching for someone. She was looking everywhere. Below the cus.h.i.+ons, under the table, and even behind the curtains. Luna then turned to her mother.
"Ma...Ma...Awu." Luna spoke as many words as she knew, to her mother. Her eyes were so watery that it appeared she would cry hard anytime. Aunt Emi picked her up and consoled her. While she was in aunt Emi's arms, she constantly looked towards me with a questioning gaze. I had no idea what she wanted. But after a while, I realized that Luna wanted those angels!
Last time Luna visited my place, there was Black, Lilith and Michael. Black had told me that because angels possess a different and very strong lifeforce, some kids can feel it and are attracted towards the lifeforce in the same way fireflies are attracted to fire. I brought a soft toy from the room so that Luna would play instead of crying and then sat beside my aunt.
"I guess she is missing Black." I thoughtlessly spoke. Aunt Emi heard me and a fierce expression made its way on her face.
"Do not say that a.s.shole's name in front of me again." Aunt Emi's words told me that her anger towards my Black can not fade that easily. I guess Black had a lot of talking to do to my aunt to appease her anger.
"That reminds me. How are your sessions going?" Even though I was not depressed anymore and insomnia and headache had vanished away, I was still sad because I missed him so much. I did not want my dear aunt to worry more about me and told her over the phone that the sessions were really helpful. Over that month, my aunt has been so relieved that I got over my infatuation with Black. After a while, I could not bear to tell her the truth and trouble her again.
"Yeah..." I hoped that my aunt didn't talk to Serena. But this sudden visit from my aunt was all the evidence I needed to realize that she knew everything.
"Nice. But last time I called Serena, she said something else..."
"I'm sorry." The cat was out of the bag and I thought that it was good that I came out clean instead of trying to hide the obvious. "I only visited Serena once."
"So care to tell me what happened? You're not the type to let go of your stupid lover that easily."
"I... Visited Lilith and I saw him... I found out his circ.u.mstances... I now understand that he will be back soon."
"Wait. You said you saw him where??"
"Lilith's place." I understood where my aunt was hinting at. I too thought of the same thing.
"How can you be this naive, Eve? Why don't you understand that that d.a.m.n man is playing with your feelings?"
"If you knew of his circ.u.mstances, you would understand it too…"
"Then tell me. I'm curious."
"I... can't."
"Sigh," She shook her head.I could tell that aunt Emi was disappointed in me because I wouldn't tell her anything. I remember how me close we both were. She always felt like an elder sister to me rather than my aunt. It was especially true after that accident happened. That disappointed expression on her face hurt me so much. I considered the consequences of telling her the truth.
Black never minded telling about his origins to my aunt. He only hid it because he was worried about her. There were so many demons coming after him and he didn't want any harm to come to my family again. He already felt responsible for the deaths of my parents and little sister.
Now as he was gone to do his stuff and as he had sent two high angels as my bodyguards, wasn't it alright for me to tell the truth to my aunt? She would know it sooner or later. So why not now? It would at least reduce her anger.
"Do you really want to know?"
"As if you will tell." She looked at me suspiciously.
"Do you remember the day angels fell from the sky?"
"Yeah?" Aunt Emi answered me in a questioning tone. She didn't know what I was hinting at. I didn't expect her to get it either.

"Black was one of the angels who fell from the sky."
Aunt Emi stared at me for a whole minute as she digested that information. Not much later, her eyes got watery. She then suddenly snapped at me.
"Oh honey, how can you be this innocent? Are you a kid? How can you believe any nonsense he spits out of his filthy mouth? I will kill him if I see that mad guy again." Instead of lowering her anger, my words acted as a fuel.
"I am saying the truth. He really is an angel!"
"He should have at least made a better story. Everyone knows that it happened because of a mistake in new holographic technology," my aunt didn't listen to me. I felt so wronged at that moment! I suffered from injustice because of the lie created by those dumba.s.s people of the government. I know that no one would believe such a thing but I hoped that my aunt would at least give me a chance to explain it further.
"What we are told is not true! Black is a real angel!"
"I get it that you are mad for him but Eve this is enough!"
My words were not reaching her. I decided to show her the proof in the form of those videos of angel with black wings. His face was not clear in any of those videos but my aunt should see the similarities! Too bad that I never got to click a picture of Black with his wing. I'll do that for sure next time.
"Where are you going?"
"I'll show you the proof."
I got up and I was about to walk to my room when I heard a loud bang. That sound of something falling on the floor came from my room and it even alerted Luna but after a moment, she continued playing. That was such a familiar sound.
Black!
He was back!
I couldn't think of anything else that would make that sound. I ran to my room in a hurry and seeing my urgency, my aunt followed after me.
I saw my Black lying on the floor of the balcony as I opened the door. His black wing was still out of his body. He was lying on his stomach, s.h.i.+rtless, with his long hair scattered around. His hair appeared to rough and wild, not graceful. I didn't know why he was not wearing his usual long coat. But that wasn't important. The important thing was that he was back. A surge of happiness washed my heart as if it were a huge tsunami.
I quickly walked to him. I sat down near him and picked him up. Black was conscious and breathing but barely. He opened his eyes a little and I could barely see his emerald pupils. They were as beautiful as always.
"As I had promised... I am back... I will not be a monster anymore." Black held my hand and said in a horse and whispering voice. After saying what he wanted, he lost his consciousness. I felt like I was having a deja vu. It was just like our first meeting! Black was always such an idiot. I then checked him and found various wounds. Some were shallow while others were still bleeding. All of them sang story about the suffering Black had gone through all this time. My heart hurt as I looked at them.
By that time my aunt had entered the room too but she just stayed near the door. Black's wing was still out and those feathers were all around the room. My aunt was too shocked to move as she looked around. I was sure she will not ask me for any other proof.
"You were not lying! He is really an angel!"
I was about to reply to her when more person entered the room from the balcony. They were Gabrielle and Sophiel.
"What happened?" Sophiel asked while looking at Black.
"Who are they?"
I was about to explain when Asmodeus too entered the room.
"Oi bad brother. I told you that you should let me help you home..." A loud and childish voice came from outside. A blond girl who appeared to be in her late teens flew inside. She was surprised when she saw so many people in the room. "Sigh! You're already pa.s.sed out," she said while looking at me, not even sparing me a glance.
"I'm sorry. This person is not any angel. He just... lost his way here."
As if anyone would believe that after watching his wings. Leave that aside, she herself possessed those beautiful snow like pure wings. This blond girl was so silly. That girl then raised her hand and I saw hand emit light.
"Wait! Miss Maria!" Gabrielle stopped her hurriedly.
"And you are?" That girl's hand returned to normal and then she carefully looked at Gabrielle and Sophiel.
"I am Gabrielle, sister of Michael."
"Whoa. You were so small the last time I saw you. Now you're so tall and beautiful. I almost couldn't recognise you... Wait, you must be little Sophie then. What are you doing here, little Gab and Sophie?" That girl said while looking at those two.
When I heard her words, my jaw must have hung open. This little girl was older than Gabrielle?
"It is our honor to be recognised by miss Maria." Gabrielle and Sophiel smiled.
"We are here to protect Eve," Gabrielle explained while pointing at me. When Maria looked at me, I greeted her with a smile. This girl must be pretty high ranked in angel hierarchy to make high angels behave so respectful. Last time they were this respectful was when they were in front of old man Raziel.
Maria flew towards me and Black at lightning speed. She looked right into my eyes and gave me a wide smile.
"So you're my sister-in-law! It's so nice to meet you angel Eve!"
