Seraphina was on her way home from school when her phone dinged. It was granny Davis.

"Code Red summer. A girl named Beatrice is on our tail. I'm at a coffee shop near Z market with your grandmother."

It was Beatrice again. When was she goimg to give up? Seraphina wasn't worried because she knew the older generation would take care of it.

I laughed to myself. Beatrice was in for fun with those two.

Without second thought, I dialed Quincy's number.

"You're done with cla.s.s babe?"

"Yes," I answered in a sad voice.

"What's wrong? You don't sound good."

I could hear worry in his voice.

"I'm not in a good mood. Are you at the company?"

I gave an evil smile after the call ended. He had to comfort me for the emotional stress his 'cla.s.smate' was causing me. I headed straight for Quincy's company to complete my heartbroken act.

"Did you also visit the market?" Alice asked.

"Yes. I just walked around for a bit."
