"Hey Alice."
"Hey Janet. Quick stat on Quincy. He'll be at x.x.x menswear store in the mall latest by 2pm.
"Roger that, comrade."
Granny Jacob instantly shot to her feet to prepare for her subtle meeting with her future grandson-in-law.
After waiting for about an hour, Janet spotted Quincy going into the store. She followed after him, appraising his looks and manners.
"He has great taste," she mummered to herself when she saw him stop to take a look at a stylish tie.
Suddenly, Quincy turned to look at her.
"Is there something I can do for you ma'am?" He noticed she'd been following him for a while now.
"I am just accompanying my grandson-in-law," granny said. Quincy was confused for a while as he scanned around the store for her family.
"Where is he?"
"I am looking at him right now."
"Me?"
"Yes boy, you".
After accomplis.h.i.+ng her task, Janet headed home in an extremely good mood. Once she settled in, she called her comrade to report.
"Great. I'll be making my move on Summer soon." Alice said.
After confirming their set-up schedule, Janet gave Summer a call.
"Hi granny"
"Congratulations baby. Someone finally took you off my hands," Granny said in a really confident tone.
"What did you do again this time?"
"I just returned from the mall after meeting with my grandson-in-law. He is coming for you soon."
Never would she have thought that her granddaughter was at the mall, and the next person she ran into was her grandson-in-law.
While granny was relaxing and daydreaming about her great grandchildren, someone came in.
"Granny!"
"Yes baby?"
She was surprised to see Summer at the door. Did she know something?
"What's his name?"
Who's name? Let's just play along for now.
"You didn't talk to him?"
"Why should I? He could be a bad guy after all"
Hmmnn... Since she's asking me, she must have met Quincy, but I needed to confirm.
"No, he's your husband"
"So what's his name?"
"You'll find out when you meet again"
"At least give me his phone number"
"Don't have it"
"What! Okay granny. If you're gonna do a job, you've gotta do it well til the end"
She definitely met up with Quincy. Okay, this wasn't part of the to-do list. I had to let Alice know, and we'll just have to watch frim the sidelines to see how it all plays.
On the day the couple sealed the deal... In a coffee shop...
"Quincy is an excellent young man. Summer will definitely like him," Janet said in between her smile.
"I really hope they get together. I don't think I can wait anymore," Alice replied excitedly.
*Ring**Ring**Ring*
"It's Sumner," Janet mouthed to Alice who gave her an okay sign after.
"Hey granny. Oh, are you out?"
"Yes baby. Just taking in the scenery."
"Be careful granny, don't get hurt"
"No worries. Anything for me?"
"Hi granny", Quincy popped out behind Seraphina during her facetime session with the lovely granny Jacob.
"Oh my! You found her."
Once the call was dropped, the two grannys celebrated their victory with two orders of Iced coffee and Vietnamese choclate lava cake.
