"I'm done for the day. I had a meeting in the morning, and that's about it. I work conveniently from home." Quincy answered in a daze. Looking at her gave him a sense of belonging.
"OK then. So do you wanna hangout or go back to your s.p.a.ce?"
"Darling, today's our Day 1. Why would I want to leave you alone? Like granny said, it's our bonding time". He moved closer to her on the couch, having an evil smirk on his face.
Seraphina couldn't help herself when she said "You're old". To her surprise, he just laughed heartily. He cupped her cheeks in his warm hands "someone said older guys are spicier. The spicier the better."
"Did you receive my gran's lecture?"
He copied her action by lifting his left eyebrow and crinkling his nose "I wouldn't call myself old, I prefer the term 'mature'".
Unfortunately for Quincy, he had no idea how dirty-minded his darling was. Once the word 'mature' left his mouth, she fell in a daze as she pictured him erotically in her mind.
Seeing her distracted, Quincy took the chance to study her features. She had plump lips, long lashes, big and l.u.s.trous brown eyes, a bit of freckles around her nose, her pointed nose, and her silky black hair resting on her shoulders.
He fell for her over again.
Seraphina finally snapped back to her senses, only to find Quincy studying her intensely.
"Do you like what you see?", she teased
"You bet I do" he answered without a thought, only to discover he was being teased.
"Naughty", as he smiled helplessly.
"Moving on... I have 2 bestfriends you'll be meeting soon. Flora and Claudia have been with me since forever." She scrolled through her phone gallery and showed Quincy pictures of the 3 amigos. He noticed that most of the pictures that were not outdoors were taken in the same place.
"You guys have a permanent hangout site?" he asked curiously
"Yes we do. Jazz bar, just around the corner".
She saw a look of surprise on his face, "why did you ask?"
He looked at her with petting eyes, "how have we never met before?"
