Hearing the birds chirping from outside the window, and people talking and walking, outside on the street, w.a.n.g Ming woke up. NOT, He woke up because of a truck honked its horn at an old lady walking over the road. Not the most delightful way to be woken up in, but w.a.n.g Ming felt very refreshed and in top condition, something that had not happened in a while. Of course, his legs were still jacked up, but he barely felt any pain from them today, which was a pleasant surprise, especially from all the abuse they got yesterday. He hoped that it was a sign of the healing and not that they broke.

His legs didn't look to be any worse than before at least on the outside, so he decided that it wouldn't be a problem. The book said that his legs would be as good as new in about a month, so he just had to wait.

After taking a shower which was a lot harder then he thought it would be. Since he didn't have anybody to help him, his whole wheelchair got wet, since he just had to wheel in under the showerhead and let his whole body get washed with water. It was a standard wheelchair and not a water-resistant shower wheelchair. But it had to do for now.

He went out to get one of his favorite breakfast dishes, soybean Milk with deep-fried dough sticks. When they come right out of the pan the dough sticks are crispy, then dip it inside soybean milk. It's almost heaven when you bite into it, the sweet taste of soybean milk and the still crispy dough sticks. But you can't leave them for long and have to eat them immediately else they become mushy and doughy. It's pretty cheap too, only costing him about 5 yuan.

With only 45 yuan left in his wallet, he felt determined to earn money. He had to since he still had the wheelchair and had to make enough money for rent. The room he rented was way too expensive. It cost him 150 yuan a night which would be 4500 yuan a month. He could get an ok apartment out of town for roughly 1000-2000 yuan. Though if he did this he had to factor the bus fares to the market, which would be 50 yuan at max. So he had to earn money today or else he would have to sleep on the street already tonight.

It was around 2,5 km from where he lived now to the market. He can't sell in the old market. So he decided to sell food at Feng Zhong Market, back to where he bought his meat. Since it was an upscale market meant that he could sell his dishes for an even higher price. But he had to be careful if his food had problems since many of the people that roamed the market are only rich people.

w.a.n.g Ming took the taxi to the market and was pleasantly surprised that his wheelchair could fold in two. So he could easily place it beside him. The market was more crowded today than yesterday. Families were roaming around, and the street filled with people. w.a.n.g Ming thought it was weird since this market particularly usually didn't have many people since it was more expensive than the others.

But he understood why when he saw the banners hanging over almost all the shops. It was the yearly market festival, which meant that anybody that wanted to sell at the market. Was freely to do so they didn't even need to register, and it also lasts for seven days. Usually, this would be a horrible idea, but w.a.n.g Gang one of the three biggest underworld gangs in FenZhong city, was the real owner of the market. So anybody that made trouble in this market would be lucky if they still had their life intact. There were only three types of people that dare, and that's Rich, Powerful, or stupid people.

w.a.n.g Ming rolled himself further down the market, with the charcoal grill on his lap two bags on both sides of his wheelchair. The one on the left contained the coal, the wood tube, wood skewers, a knife, and the other held the different types of meats he purchased. The meat was starting to thaw, so he had to hurry and grill them. w.a.n.g Ming had already seasoned the meat before he came to the market. But since he didn't have much time, he had used more spice than usual, which should not pose a problem but could affect the quality of the end product.

It took him over 15 minutes to finally find a spot where he could set up his "stand," some people were fighting for it, but they gave the place to him when they saw that he was sweating from rolling the wheelchair.

One of the aunts who witnessed the scene, which people usually called Aunt Fu, felt her heart brake when she saw how pitiful he looked, and told him to come to her shop when he had time. She owned a decent-sized clothes shop, and she would give him a considerable discount.

Feeling shocked and a heartwarming feeling, w.a.n.g Ming felt a single tear leave his left eye. He promised himself never to cry again, but it had been so long since someone was kind to him, and Aunt Fu reminded him of his mother. Smiling and bidding her, and the other sellers farewell, he set up his store.
