Finally, feeling a.s.sured that everything that happened was just a dream. w.a.n.g Ming could then focus on the tasks he needed to do. He still needed to open his restaurant in a day or two, and he also needed to check and examine his legs.

He didn't have a lot of money, so he didn't want to go the doctor. But w.a.n.g Ming thought that he could run a few laps and do some leg exercises instead to see if there were still any problems with them.

After changing his clothes and was.h.i.+ng up w.a.n.g Ming made his way out of the restaurant, he really appreciated the fact that his legs were healed. Everything were so much harder when he was in a wheelchair, not just moving around but going to the toilet, showering even cooking were a lot harder, since he was immobile. Like people say you learn to appreciate something after you lose it.

Locking the door behind him. w.a.n.g Ming instantly started running towards the markets exit. He would be lying if he said he didn't miss this. It was like he had regained his long lost freedom. Luckily for w.a.n.g Ming, there weren't many people outside at the moment, else he would probably have ran down many people.

Running roughly one km, he stopped to look at the time and realized he had only run 3-4 minutes. He barely felt tired and if he had used all of his strength and energy, w.a.n.g Ming felt sure of pressing the time down to roughly 2 and a half minutes for one km.

What w.a.n.g Ming didn't know at this point was that the fastest recorded speed for one km is roughly 2 minutes and 20 seconds. w.a.n.g Ming also didn't know the proper running technique, nor did he have running gear, which meant what w.a.n.g Ming had just done many would consider being impossible.

After stopping he realized there were a group of schoolgirls looking at him. w.a.n.g Ming realized after his full body healed his hearing also got better so he could faintly hear that they talked about him. How hot and manly he was looking with his wet hair and still damp t-s.h.i.+rt, they also dared each other to approach him. w.a.n.g Ming's hair and t-s.h.i.+rt weren't wet because of sweat though, but it was because he didn't dry up properly before going out.

One girl though really stood out to him, she also talked about him. But instead of looking attracted, she looked to be disgusted by w.a.n.g Ming. He didn't know why, but since they didn't know each other he didn't bother to say anything. It was also the first time he had seen a girl with such an arrogant face expression. Her eyes told him and anybody looking into them that they were only ants beneath her. She were also wearing an LV bag, which w.a.n.g Ming heard from Fu Chunhua cost at least 30 thousand USD.

He felt curious about why she looked at him like that, but didn't bother to ask or interact with her. In case of stirring up any unwanted trouble, and she were also a girl he wouldn't stoop so long to make trouble with a little girl.

So winking at them, he then ran toward the meat store of Weng Ping, he needed to resupply a lot of meat since he wanted to open the shop already in two days. The next day would go to preparing the restaurant and teaching Louzheng. He would also invite his closest friends, which were Lang Lin, Fu Chunhua, Peng Tong and Meng Hao to have a small opening ceremony.

After w.a.n.g Ming winked to the girls, they all squealed and giggled happily. All except from Zhou Mei, she didn't understand why the girls her age liked guys like them. Those hot boys that would run away and abandon you if they ever face danger, or only approach you for your beauty and money. Zhou Mei only liked men, men who could s.h.i.+eld her from all the dangers in this world and would never betray her.

She had experienced it too many times already even though she only were 18. So many hot boys had approached her only because of her family status and money. She were even stupid enough to believe it once, but after being betrayed she realized. That it was only a man that would never betray her a true manly man.

But since they were all her friends, she warned them.

"Why do you guys even bother, none of you have anything he would ever want? The only thing those guys want are to play you and take your money, but none if you are even as pretty as me or as rich as me. I would advise you to give up."

After warning them, Zhou Mei saw that none of them took her advice but even criticised her. Seeing her so-called friends treat her like this only because of a boy, she lost her mood and went home.

Arriving at the meat store this time, w.a.n.g Ming felt excited. Since he was here, he could quality check all the meat before buying. Since last time he did a few pieces that were subpar in quality, they would be ok pieces to cook with in your home. But nothing w.a.n.g Ming wanted to sell at his restaurant, he only wanted the best at least with the money he had.

He didn't have a lot of money left, if he accounted for Louzheng's salary and all then w.a.n.g Ming would roughly have 3000 yuan left to buy meat. Though he felt very confident in the dish and recipe he had made, w.a.n.g Ming believed 100% that this was something that would easily become popular. And it wouldn't take more than two or three days for his restaurant to generate at least more profit than liabilities.

Though w.a.n.g Ming's aim wasn't just that, he would at least have to get 110 thousand yuan before the end of the year. But w.a.n.g Ming didn't want to live like this anymore. He wanted to succeed in life. Build a food and entertainment empire with his own two hands. Ultimately, w.a.n.g Ming knew that this was the way for him to ensure that he could live happily with his family for the rest of his life. w.a.n.g Ming didn't want his kids later living like he has done, being a tool to make money, not having a mother, or like him now living in his restaurant.

"Uncle Weng? Are you here?"

Not hearing a reply, w.a.n.g Ming went further into the store to check if somebody were there. Walking up to the counter he saw Weng Ping lying on the counter looking like he had pa.s.sed out.

Feeling shocked, w.a.n.g Ming didn't know what to do, afraid that he had just walked in to a crime scene. But seeing Uncle Weng like this, he had to help him. Running towards his side, w.a.n.g Ming lightly tapped Weng Ping on his shoulders, seeing no reaction. He hit him on his shoulders this time with a bit of force.

Which made Weng Ping spurt out about a milliliter of blood, seeing this w.a.n.g Ming felt his face go white. Did he just kill a man? An Innocent man? Such thoughts kept revolving around in his head. But then w.a.n.g Ming's face instantly changed this time to happy as he saw Weng Ping slowly stretch his arms up into the air and yawn.

Seeing him like this, w.a.n.g Ming couldn't help but ask.

"Uncle Weng, are you ok? I just saw you spurting blood from your mouth. Let me take you to the doctor now!"

After asking his question, w.a.n.g Ming didn't get any reaction from Weng Ping at all. Feeling scared again he walked to the other side of the counter so he now faced Weng Ping. When w.a.n.g Ming finally saw Uncle Weng's face, he couldn't help but furrow his brows and look confused. Since Uncle Weng were smiling to him and even had some tears in his eyes.

"No need to worry about me w.a.n.g Ming. I have had a chronic lung sickness over 30 years now and it makes me cough some blood up now and then. So you need not take me to the doctor. I've been at many through my life but none have ever been able to cure me."

After coughing two more times, he followed up with.

"But thank you for your concern, it's been so long since someone cared about this uncle. So what do you need today, thank you for being my regular customer!"

Hearing this, w.a.n.g Ming wanted to ask about his cousin, but since this were Uncle Weng's family problems he didn't find it right to ask.

"No need to thank me Uncle Weng. I only buy from you because of your great quality. I don't want to say this, but I got some subpar quality meat last time. It's ok for cooking at home but since I'm opening a restaurant, it's not something I can serve."

After telling Uncle Weng about this problem, he noticed that Uncle Weng's eyes flared with anger he then rapidly breath in and out trying to control himself, but failing at it. He then slammed the table so hard that his whole hand became blood red, then he bowed towards w.a.n.g Ming and said sorry.

"I'm so sorry, w.a.n.g Ming. I don't know what happened. But I'm sure that I did not send you any subpar quality meat. I check everything that goes in and out of this shop, and I only pick the highest of quality. I think this has something to do with my cousin once again I apologize to you."

After saying this Weng Ping coughed a lot, he took a handkerchief. To cover up that he had coughed up blood, but it didn't escape w.a.n.g Ming's eyes. Then looking at Weng Ping's face, he had never seen a face expression that screamed so much of embarra.s.sment and humiliation. Seeing him like this, w.a.n.g Ming regret telling Weng Ping about it.

"It isn't a big deal, Uncle Weng. You need to take care of your health. I do think that this were just a one time case, and I will keep supporting your shop!"

Weng Ping felt relieved that w.a.n.g Ming didn't want to pursue this matter. But Weng Ping couldn't let this go by, because he knew who was behind this. And this weren't the first time it had happened. If he let this pa.s.s, then he had no qualifications to be a salesman anymore.

"No, I will give you an answer for this w.a.n.g Ming. Don't try to change my mind. As compensation, I will give you a 50% discount on all the meat you buy for one month. It's a thank you for reminding me that I'm raising a rat in my house."
