The common soldiers engaged on both sides. Military vehicles on the ground and in the air engaged each other. Finally, the experts were left standing to look at one another. All of the explosions and death didn't faze either side's experts. The Dragon Army had gathered their Heroes, but the Fiends had gathered their most formidable villains.
It seemed liked fated enemies could sense one another. Everyone engaged whoever caught their eye. Kal disappeared. No one was sure who he was or who he was fighting against. Master Bel and everyone else was wary of the Great Fiend. He chose to chase after a pair of Ascended Immortal Fiends that caught his eye.
The Great Fiend produced a floating throne that he sat on after his initial attack. He didn't feel the need to step in right now. Truthfully, he didn't care if all of his forces were wiped out. He could just start all over again. He would be forced to exert himself and kill whoever was left alive, but that was fine with him. The only death he regretted was his daughter General Ha Va. He truly thought of her as his daughter.
There was nothing he could do for her, she had been killed so quickly by that Gold Dragon, Pianzi. Sitting on his throne, the Great Fiend pondered on how everything had happened. He didn't believe this was a pre-planned attack. He had sensed the despair from Pianzi's soul as they killed him. He was truly dead, but somehow he had been resurrected.
Pianzi disappeared and engaged with some Fiends. He wanted to repay all the suffering he had been through. He knew he wasn't a match for the Great Fiend. No one here was a match for him. Everyone knew it and if he didn't attack they wouldn't start anything with him.
As everyone was engaged in battles there was one warrior, who like the Great Fiend, seemed to be casually sitting on his throne. Big Bear found a boulder and sat on it like he was the Emperor watching some children play. He decided it was better to sit and watch how things played out. He was more interested in fighting the Great Fiend, but he wasn't confident he could handle him. However, out of everyone present, he had the highest chance of success if he did have to fight. Big Bear sat stoically waiting for his time to join the battle.
Many hours into the battle the main forces on both sides were largely exhausted. The injured were removed to recover. Crashed s.h.i.+ps and vehicles were scattered all over the landscape. It seemed like everything was on fire, even the Imperial Palace was burning.
Out of the Initial thousand plus members of Heavens' Legendary Heroes, nearly half of them were dead. An intense battle was taking place between Rú Chóng Rén the worm man and a member of the elite Fiend Fighting unit 'Devour,' named Dìqiú Rén. Dìqiú Rén was an earth element Fiend whose strongest techniques involved combining his Fiend body with the earth. This technique multiplied all of his strength many times over.
His technique wasn't as simple as just combining with dirt. He combined with everything contained in the earth, stones, gems, metals, magma. With all of these materials, he could remake his body into a nearly indestructible form. His bones were a special alloy called diamond magnesium steel. It was lightweight, stronger and harder than any known metal. It was also fairly flexible.
The muscles of the Fiend were an alloy composed of t.i.tanium and nitinol as well as some other supporting compounds. The Nerves were enhanced with a gold alloy and the skin was made of another hybrid of graphene. It was Extremely tough, durable, and could be regenerated instantly.
Rú Chóng Rén was having a very difficult time with this monstrosity. Worm Men were really good tearing through most Earth Men bodies. That was usually because the bodies they produced were fairly straightforward and simple. Rú Chóng Rén never faced an Earth Man with such a complex and well thought out body structure.
Mostly, Rú Chóng Rén spent the battle avoiding Diqiu Ren who kept trying to grab him. Finally, Rú Chóng Rén's luck ran out and he was caught. Without blinking, Diqiu Ren tore Rú Chóng Rén in half and threw his body on the ground. Surprisingly, this didn't kill Rú Chóng Rén. Instead, both halves regrew the missing halves of their bodies. There were now two Rú Chóng Réns.
"Wow, this guy is really tough. None of my weapons can penetrate through his skin. At most I've barely left a scratch and when he scratched he heals immediately," said Rú Chóng Rén #1.
"Yeah, how are we going to beat this guy?" wondered Rú Chóng Rén #2.
"Try this," a voice from the distance called. The Worm Men turned to see a couple of items being tossed to them. there were two items. One was a pair of ferocious looking teeth made for a Worm man. The second was some kind of digging claws. The two Rú Chóng Réns looked at the person who sent the items over, it was Big Bear!
During the Battle, Big Bear had gotten bored waiting so he starting crafting weapons for people. Whenever he noticed someone on the Dragon Empire's side struggling, he would craft a specialized weapon for them. This often turned the tables and helped reduce the number of Fiends. Benton, his disciple aided Big Bear the entire time to speed up the forging process.
The Worm Men immediately donned their new weapons and attacked the Earth Man with new vigor. The two launched themselves to the enemy and to everyone's shock they started pa.s.sing through the body of the Earth Man like it was soil. Soon, the Earth Man wasn't much more than soil and the two Worm Men had a nice snack. This soil had super amazing properties and both experienced a significant breakthrough in the cultivation level. Now, even without their new weapons, they would make short work of a similar Earth Man, if one existed.
The two Worm Men bowed in grat.i.tude towards Big Bear after their win and then went on to rejoin the battle.
The death of The Earth Man, Diqiu Ren, caught the attention of the remaining members of 'Devour.' Although the two Rú Chóng Réns killed their comrade; they knew that the one truly responsible for his death was the large Bear Man forging weapons for the Heaven's Legendary Heroes. They decided to take him out. Without new weapons, the fighting power of the Dragon Empire's side would be greatly reduced.
At this time they were attacking the Dragon Emperor and his Grandfather. Toying with them would be a better term as the pair were much too weak to be a challenge for them. As they were leaving that battlefield, one of the backhanded the Emperor while another member front kicked his grandfather. Both Grandfather and Grandson were knocked through the Dragon Palace which crumbled on top of them.
The remaining six warriors of 'Devour,' landed in front of Big Bear with mocking smiles on their faces. Big Bear didn't seem bothered by them at all. It was his turn to fight it seemed. Without saying a word, the ma.s.sive Big Bear stood up and grabbed his latest Khanda named Star Shatterer. Big Bear hefted the large sword onto his shoulder and walked over like a delinquent in an anime.
A couple of members of 'Devour' were secretly scared of this Bear Man. The six warriors facing Big Bear were Jix the Fang. He was a Fiend who liked to use poisoned dipped knives. It was like he was holding a snake's venomous fangs when he fought. Tillo, an extremely large Fiend reaching over three meters in height. Other than the Captain he was the strongest. He wore two metallic knuckles to increase the damage of his punches.
Faxis was known for his speed. Many Fiends would say "Faxis is the Fastest." He liked to fight bare-handed. Pratto was completely armored. He increased his abilities through the use of advanced Fiend technologies. He wore an armor that seamlessly blended many types of technology.
The armor was so hard that it was nearly indestructible it also boosted his physical strength by two hundred percent! The boots enhanced the speed and power of his flight. His gloves could shoot five different energy types. Each energy beam was destructive in a different way. Blue energy destroys earth elements, red energy destroys metal elements, yellow energy destroys water elements, black energy destroys fire elements, white energy destroys wood elements.
The helmet could track enemies and friends by noting their differences as red is enemy and blue is a friend. The helmet contained the soul of fighting strategist who made suggestions on who and how to attack enemies.
The fifth member was Veltar a short stumpy looking Fiend about a meter and a quarter tall. Veltar cultivated a strange technique that allowed him to stretch parts of his body quickly like a rubber band. He could use this power to strengthen, speed up and make his attacks unpredictable.
The Final member of the team was the Captain of the Elite unit Mobux. Captain Mobux was second in strength to the Great Fiend. General Ag was the most formidable warrior the Great Fiend had. However, Captain Mobux had quickly risen and overtaken General Ag's position as strongest. He was both powerful and fierce.
Big Bear merely looked at the group of six and snorted. The only one he thought might be tough was Captain Modux. The rest of them shouldn't take much time to deal with. Big Bear was ready for battle. It was time to see just how strong he became under Master River.
