Yang Tian-Xu's words of thanks had lead w.a.n.g Yi-An to become confused. Then she thought to herself, "Wait, did he just thank me for giving me a ride? Wow, why is he so polite?" Yet, she could only reply, "Oh, no thank you, President Yang."
On their way to his car, Yang Tian-Xu had hope that they could walk slower. However, w.a.n.g Yi-An was used to walking at a face pace. As for Yang Tian-Xu, he had long legs, and so he had slowed himself down to match her speed.
w.a.n.g Yi-An has short legs, but still, she was fast. Then, before he had realised it, they had already reached his vehicle. They got in, and he slowly started the car. w.a.n.g Yi-An didn't have work today, and so he had taken her home.
There was no need for w.a.n.g Yi-An to tell him the address as Yang Tian-Xu had already memorised it by heart. The ride to her house wasn't as long as Yang Tian-Xu had hoped for, sometimes he would pretend to take the wrong turn so that he can drag their time together on for a bit longer.
w.a.n.g Yi-An felt like she had perhaps caused him some problem to find her house. "Are you sure you don't need me to give you the address? I can punch it in the GPS."
"No, it's okay. Don't worry about it, and sorry that I had taken the wrong turn. My mind gets a bit preoccupied sometimes. Sorry if I had caused you any problems." Yang Tian-Xu said as he wanted to tell her that he wanted to spend more time with her. However, he was just afraid he might have made her feel uncomfortable if he said that.
w.a.n.g Yi-An smiled at him, and shook her head, "Oh no, thank you very much for giving me a lift."
"Anytime. If you want, I can give you a lift every day."
w.a.n.g Yi-An laughs, "How can that be possible? Did you and Fung DGe bonded today?"
"Well, sort of?" Yang Tian-Xu wanted to tell her, "I only became friends with him because of you." However, it would be impossible for him to say so, and so he could only think about it to himself.
Yang Tian-Xu wasn't lying, it was the truth, as Yang Tian-Xu mind was preoccupied with thoughts about her. Also, for a second or two; he thought that perhaps he should see Fung Qi-Wei and have a chat with him.
Perhaps, he could and asked him for his advice on what Mother w.a.n.g would like as gifts of apology. However, for now, he let that matter go, and only wanted to enjoy his time with w.a.n.g Yi-An throughout their ride together. He would sometimes try to talk to her. However, w.a.n.g Yi-An just replied to him with simple answers.
Yang Tian-Xu would ask random questions like, "Have you worked at the Happiness Restaurant long?"
"Yes." She replied it was straightforward with no intention to carry on the conversation. However, Yang Tian-Xu doesn't give up, and he wanted to know more about her from her, and not from a third-person like Fung Qi-Wei.
"What do you like to eat." He continued to question her.
"Everything." She replied as she smiled at him. Still, she didn't ask him in return, because she wasn't curious about what he likes to eat.
Yang Tian-Xu felt like he should at least try to pry into her thoughts about Fung Qi-Wei. He thought that, just because Fung Qi-Wei thinks of her as a sister; doesn't mean she doesn't have feelings for him. "You and Fung Qi-Wei seems to get along really well, do you consider him as an older brother?"
"Sort of." w.a.n.g Yi-An replied the tone of her voice seems to have another meaning.
Yang Tian-Xu was not satisfied with her replies, and he felt like perhaps she doesn't like to talk much? And so, Yang Tian-Xu asked her one last question. "How long have you known him?"
Once more, she answered him with a simple answer. "A long time."
The only remark that Yang Tian-Xu can say was. "I see…"
The ride back to her district by bus would take w.a.n.g Yi-An an hour during rush hours, and if there were no traffic, it would take about 45-minutes. However, for Yang Tian-Xu, he had purposely taken wrong turns here and there, and so they had been together in the car for an hour and a half.
w.a.n.g Yi-An felt like perhaps it would have been better for her to had taken the bus home? However, Yang Tian-Xu had apologised and said, "Sorry it took so long to take you home, I hope I can also give you a lift next time as well."
