I feel the need of updating you guys about the novel and why I didn't post a new chapter in the last 3 days.
I will put a TL:DR before the long explanation:

Now, the long version:
I began writing this novel on google docs; then I started using the "Inkstone" (webnovel's writing tools) and had a very, very hard time trying to get the formatting right; ended up publis.h.i.+ng the novel somewhere else too, their tools were a lot better.
The other website became my "main" publis.h.i.+ng venue, not because of a disdain for webnovel (I love here), but because I edited the chapters there and then had to spend hours changing things here. If you go over there, you will notice some changes, nothing storywise, just better formatting and grammar.
I tried to move my auxiliary files from google docs to this other website. Spent an entire Sat.u.r.day trying to do so, failed miserably.
Learned about a plethora of tools designed to help writers, ended up spending $40 to buy a license to Scrivener after testing it. After hitting 40-50 chapters I will set up a pa.ypal and patr.e.o.n. account if someone wants to help me pay for the Grammarly tool subscription price ($60 every 3 months), but won't shy away from paying for it alone, writing is becoming a hobby of mine.
Last week I spent at least 2 hours every day moving everything I had written to this tool and organizing my story.
What did I do in the last week to improve the novel?
Took some writing short cla.s.ses to improve dialogue writing and pacing. It is hard to gauge improvements, so I have been experimenting a little and rereading some books that I loved the dialogues.
How long till Riwall journey begins?
I still have about 6 chapters in the backlog. They wrap up the first Arc, which I see as a "prologue arc", and set our MC lose in the world.
