Supercar System 1 The System

Millennium High School, New York

"Get out, Bruno you f.u.c.king loser." Similar jeers could be heard throughout the school.

Bruno Vexer was senior at Millennium High School, but he just got framed for cheating on a test by his best friend, George. In reality, his friend was trying to cheat off of his Design cla.s.s test, but the teacher realized that Bruno and George's tests were the same. The teacher called the two into the cla.s.sroom and George immediately threw Bruno under the bus. He accused Bruno of cheating off of his test and the school immediately expelled him.

Bruno had no real family either. He was an orphan with foster parents that only adopted him for the monthly money from the government. The only person who really cared about him was his girlfriend, Sarah.

He ran to his car, a '69 Camaro that Sarah had gifted him when he got his license. It was obviously an expensive present even though it barely worked. When he got it, he tried to reject it but Sarah basically forced him to accept it. He decided to drive around the city to see if he could clear his mind and find out what he could do with the rest of his life.

CRASH

The Camaro flipped over and skidded across the road upside down. Bruno was immediately knocked unconscious.

When he woke up, all Bruno saw was white above him. He looked around and realized he was in a hospital bed.

'Holy s.h.i.+t! Was I in a car crash?' He thought to himself. Suddenly a holographic screen appeared before him.

'Wait! What's this? I'm pretty sure holograms aren't real yet. Am I inside some kind of advanced hospital?'

[No, host. I am the Supercar System]

"Who said that?" Bruno exclaimed.

Suddenly, the door opened. A nurse came in and realized that Bruno was finally awake.

"Oh h.e.l.lo, Bruno. It's nice to see that you're awake," the nurse said.

"Hi, could you tell me where I am. And what that voice I just heard was," Bruno responded.

"You're at the New York City Hospital. And what voice are you talking about?"

"The one that said something about a supercar..."

"You might be confused, Bruno. Let's get you out of here. Your parents are outside and it's time for you to be discharged."

"Okay." Bruno followed the nurse outside and saw his foster parents waiting outside. His dad looked p.i.s.sed.

"Are you crazy, Bruno! A car cras.h.!.+" his foster dad Greg Vexer yelled.

'It's not even my fault..." Bruno thought to himself.

"We've paid your hospital fees this time, but it's time you move out and live by yourself. You're an adult now." Bruno realized that they wouldn't receive any more money from the government because he became 18 years old some time ago. His foster parents were simply looking for an excuse to kick Bruno out of the house.

His foster parents walked out of the hospital, leaving Bruno alone. He pulled out his phone to check his notifications and saw 20+ phone calls from Sarah Rocker. He immediately called her.

"Bruno, are you okay! I heard you got expelled from school and then got in a car cras.h.!.+"

"I'm fine Sarah. I'm just about to leave the hospital."

"I wish I could come back to New York and see you! This is what happens when I'm not with you." Sarah was currently in California with her family. Her dad was the CEO of a large tech company that produced chips for computers and phones, and he was on a business trip. He decided to take the rest of his family along to see California with him.

"Don't worry Sarah. It's okay. I'm sorry I crashed the car you gave me though."

"The car's not important Bruno. My family's calling me over. I've got to go."

"Okay, Sarah. Bye." Bruno said.

"Bye!" Sarah responded.
