They just came from the bank after depositing the rest of the precious gold metal under Adam's new name.
Aunt Ruby is a middle-aged woman in her 50's that always wear gla.s.ses.
"How did you and my mother know each other?" asked Adam.
"It was a long time ago when am still in my early 20's. My sister and I were born into a poor family. When both my parents died in a vehicular accident, we became an orphan. We were supposed to die a long time ago when a bloodthirsty vampire entered our house and about to slaughter us to death. It happened that your mother was in the same area and saw us running outside from our dilapidated house scared to death. She fought with the cruel vampire with all her might and killed him saving us in the process. From that day on forward, we became indebted to your mother. She befriended us and took pity of our terrible condition. One day she gives us some gold, not only twice but many times. Both my sister and I went back to school and finished two years course with your mother's financial help. Then I ventured into some small business and one day hit it big time. Currently, I am into real state business. Buying and selling properties all over the country," explained Aunt Ruby.
"Where is your sister?" inquired Adam.
"She is into the entertainment business. Managing her own talent agency and one of the best and leading talent agency in the country. She handles and discovers new models for print ads, media, television, catalogs and fas.h.i.+on models, artist and so on. She has an eye for talent and beauty."
Adam now finally understand why Aunt Ruby is very kind and supportive of him.
"My sister and I are forever indebted to your mother, without her friends.h.i.+p and help we may never find our own success. So am going to extend to you all the help and support that you need to thrive and succeed well in the human world."
Aunt Ruby smiled at Adam with grat.i.tude.
"You know, you are a good looking guy. If you are interested you can be a model, let me know so that I can call my sister to see you and maybe you have a bright future in the modeling world. The beauty of the modeling world is that it's easy money as long you are in demand and can attract the public's attention."
Adam smiled. "Interesting!" he said.
"Or you can enter my real state world and I will guide you how to effectively and profitably buy and sell properties all over the country. How about that?"
"I like the real state world better..." he said.
"Why choose only one? You can hit two birds with one stone."
Adam raised his eyebrows.
"If you become a famous and in-demand model, you can easily buy and sell properties like hotcakes. You become your own brand. Many people will love to buy properties endorsed by celebrities and models. Think about it!" she grinned.
He was impressed by Aunt Ruby's business ac.u.men.
Adam got silent for a moment.
"Okay, I wanna try both!" he said enthusiastically.
Aunt Ruby patted him on the shoulder.
"That's good! My sister has been dying to meet you. I will arrange a meeting between the three of us as soon as possible to iron things out."
"By the way, I'm going to transfer the owners.h.i.+p of the condo into your name in a matter of days," she added.
"Aunt Ruby, no need! That's too much already," his refusal came out strong.
"Adam, it's okay. Out of 500 suites in that condo tower, I owned at least 20 suites. It won't be a huge loss at my end if I transfer one owners.h.i.+p to you. Consider it as my gift to you or to your mother."
Adam realizes that it can make Aunt Ruby happy if he accepts a gift from her.
"Okay, on behalf of my mother I will accept the condo as your gift. Thank you very much, Aunt Ruby, for your help."
"Nah, don't thank me yet. I haven't started yet," she said.
"How about your friend, Caden? What is your plan for him?"
"I will make him my a.s.sistant and my bodyguard. Is that allowed?" he said chuckling.
She nodded. "Why not? You seemed to be protective of him..."
"He's been an orphan since young and grows up in an orphanage. No family around to turn for help. So I will take good care of him since he is my best friend."
"You really are molded after your mother's heart. Very kind and a generous friend," she said a bit misty-eyed.
"By the way, you can also study online and choose a variety of courses to your liking. But why choose the hard way when you already have the easiest way?" Aunt Ruby grinned.
Aunt Ruby sipped her nearly forgotten coffee.
"Next Monday, you will start your driving lesson. After you pa.s.s your driving lesson we can apply for your driving license. Then the next step is to buy your own car."
"Can I bring Caden along? I also want him to learn driving."
"No problem. You both can take a driving lesson at the same time."
Aunt Ruby checked her cellphone. "Adam I need to go. I need to meet a new client for the properties am selling. Call me if you have a problem or need my a.s.sistance. Okay?"
She patted Adam's head and bid goodbye.
"Bye...Aunt Ruby. Take care!"
Adam got out of the Cafe and was heading to the man-made beach to see Caden.
He found his friend surrounded by three ladies in their swimming attire. From the look of things, Caden was having fun with the friendly ladies.
He changed his mind and opted not to disturb his friend. Instead, he turns around and goes back to the condo instead.
Once inside the condo, he directly went to the kitchen and prepared himself a cup of coffee. He brought the cup to the balcony and sat down on the wooden chair.
From his view, he can see Caden smiling animatedly with the ladies. He waved at him, he waved back and the ladies follow suit, waving at him as well. After showering them with his magnetic smile, he turns his attention to his coffee.
His new life is going to take off soon and he might be very busy. He was thinking of when to tell Jessy about his resurrection, his new look, and his new life. Then there's also her impending wedding to his brother that bothered him a lot. He can not allow the woman he loves married to another man, not even to his brother.
How to prevent the wedding from happening without hurting his brother and enraging her mother?
His mind kept coming back to that same question for the last twenty minutes. Frustrated that he can't come up with a solution, he stood up, brought the empty cup to the kitchen sink and entered his room for a quick nap to clear his head.
