Jessy and Oliver went back to their vehicle.
"The night is young, do you still want to go somewhere to spy or something?" Oliver asked his partner.
Jessy looked at him. "Shall we start finding that guy on the sketch or we will go to the house where the whole family was murdered and the daughter was missing. I was wondering where is the daughter now? Why she suddenly went missing? I can't get that girl out of my mind. I need to find her dead or alive," she said.
"Okay, but I think we should drop by in that bar where the leader of the hostage-taker and the guy used to meet. Who knows, we might be able to find him there," Oliver insisted.
"Okay, let's have a coin toast, head or tails?" she asked him.
"I'll go for the head," Oliver answered.
"Tail for me then...let's do it!" Jessy said.
Oliver took a coin from his wallet and tossed it in the backseat. It landed on its head!
"I won!" Oliver grinned.
"Okay, let's go to the bar then..." Jessy said with a smile.
"What is the name of the bar?" Oliver asked.
"Wait for a second..." said Jessy, she closed her eyes for a moment and recalled the name of the bar she saw in the hostage-takers memory. "It's...Gal's u0026 Chick's Bar..." she answered.
"What a nice name of a bar!" Oliver commented.
"Yeah, kind of cute and zany," Jessy agreed.
"Let's go!" Oliver said and started the engine of his car.
Oliver's car blends in with the vehicles going into the direction of the bar.
A few minutes later, they finally arrived at the red-light district were bars, disco, strips clubs, ma.s.sage parlour and other establishments offering different types of entertainment were growing like mushrooms.
"This is the seedy part of the city where wretched people and other outcasts of the society come alive and flourish," Oliver told his partner.
Jessy glanced at her partner's face. "What do you mean?"
"Looks like you are not knowledgeable about this kind of place. This is not the place a lady like you would want to visit. This place is dangerous for innocent people. But for bad people, it's heaven for them, because in this kind of place they can make contacts with like-minded individuals who can supply them what they want such as illegal drugs, killers for hire, and many types of bad dealings." Oliver explained the info to his innocent partner.
Jessy's brows knitted together. "So, if you are telling me the truth, then why the government still allows establishment like this to flourish and become the breeding gown of evil people?" she asked wide-eyed.
"Because...this is a business district and all these entertainment venues here generate profits. Everywhere you see around us are taxes paying businesses, they have workers that they regularly paid a salary to run the stores. The truth is, the establishment is not bad, it's the people that meet inside...they are the bad ones. Since there are too many people to watch out, it would be hard to point out who is who. This is where your expertise comes into the picture. Heck, you can even freeze everyone in this bar and read their minds. I'm sure we can discover something from them and we will know who is hiding illegal activities around here," Oliver elaborated further.
Jessy smiled. "I get it now, to catch the bad people the only option for us is to get inside their inner sanctum. Okay, fine, let's head inside and see if we can find that guy tonight," she said eagerly.
Now is the time to enter the bar.
They walked to the entrance and entered the bar. It's a three-story building. They also offered a pool billiard on the second floor and the third floor is where private rooms were located.
Oliver and Jessy chose a four-seater table near the bar counter where a s.e.xy bartender was busy mixing c.o.c.ktails and drinks.
"What do you want to order, Jess?" Oliver asked.
"Orange, lemon, or strawberry juice," she answered.
Oliver went to the bar counter and ordered a light beer and orange juice.
Done, with his order, Oliver went back to the table he shared with Jessy.
"Have you seen him?" she asked while sipping on her orange juice using the straw.
Oliver shook his head. "Not yet. He maybe not here today, or he might be on the second-floor playing billiard, or he can be on the third floor."
"What's on the third floor?" she asked in a low voice.
Oliver shook his head. "I dunno, what's up there," he said.
"Okay, I would go to the comfort room and spy on the second floor and the third floor," she whispered in his ear. "Just stay here and if something comes up...run for your life, okay?"
Oliver's eyes widened. "Huh? What are you going to do?" he asked, bewildered.
"I will burn the building down," she joked.
"Are you kidding me?" he said.
"Nah, I'm just kidding. See you later," she said and get up from the chair heading to the restroom.
Oliver watched as his partner's back disappeared inside the restroom at the end of the hallway. For now, he will just enjoy his light beer and wait for Agent X to come back to their table.
Inside the restroom.
Jessy entered a vacant cubicle and transformed herself into her invisible self.
A moment later, she was already roaming in the second floor.
Jessy was looking at people's faces one by one on the second floor, they consisted mostly of men with only a few women among them.
She disliked the pungent smell of cigarettes circulating the area, but she had to endure it.
After inspecting the people's faces on the second floor, she can't find the guy that she was trying to find, he was simply not among them.
She went to the stairs leading to the third floor. There was a guard stationed at the top of the stairs. Hmm...it seemed that the third floor is not for everyone.
The guard can't do anything to her and can't see her anyway so she proceeds upstairs.
On the third floor, she found private rooms, some were vacant and some were occupied with naked couples romping!
WTF! Isn't motels and hotels better than this place?
Jessy was shaking her head.
The rooms consist only of sofas and center table. There were ten rooms total on the third floor.
So far, she only entered and checked five rooms.
Five more to go.
