Adam runs his hands through her silky hair. "I will go back to the city in a while, Jess. But I will come back tonight to meet your friend," he said in a firm voice.
Jessy's face brightened up after hearing that he will go home in a little while. The moment Adam will disappear she will teleport into the treehouse and warn Jagger not to say anything to her boyfriend. Now that her plan was already in place, she will just wait for Adam to leave the room.
"How's work?" she asked while pressing her face on his chest inhaling the pleasant smell of his manly scent.
"Just the same...as usual nothing new in the modeling world," he replied.
"I'd been to the mansion a few days ago..." she said.
"Really? So...how is Grandpa Waldo and Nana Aida are doing in there?" he asked wanting to know if they were doing fine.
"Don't worry about them, the last time I check they were watching a television show together in the living room. They seem to get along well with each other based on what I see during that time," Jessy narrated.
"That's good! I think we should visit the mansion one of these days, let's bring Caden along. How about this weekend? Sat.u.r.day night?" Adam suggested.
"Sounds good! I will go to your condo this Sat.u.r.day night at 10:00 in the evening," she said.
"Okay, now that is settled...I will leave now. I will return tonight, bye my love," he leaned on for a kiss.
Jessy met his lips and they shared a pa.s.sionate lingering kiss.
Fifteen minutes later, their lips parted.
"I'd better go now, love, before I'm tempted to take off your clothes," he said cheekily, grinning. Adam planted a gentle kiss on her forehead. "I love you," he murmured.
"I love you too," she answered, her eyes sparkled, overflowing with love and adoration for him. "Go now!"
Adam smiled and disappeared from the room.
Jessy immediately combs her hair and picked up the two chicken that was wrapped in the foil and placed it inside the shopping bag. She initiated the teleportation process in her mind and gone from her room within seconds.
A moment later.
She landed inside the treehouse, she was glad that Jagger was home and sitting on the floor, listening to the radio.
"Hey...pretty lady," his face beamed upon seeing her.
"Hi...I bought these marinated chicken, we will roast it using fire in the ground tonight. I will come back here at midnight. I will bring a visitor with me..." she said.
Jagger's brows snapped together. "Huh? Do we have a visitor—? May I know who is our visitor?" he asked in confusion.
"My boyfriend...so...please don't tell him the truth about who you are. Just tell him that you grow up alone on this wilderness and you have no family, then one night you were attacked by wild animals and while you're dying I come along and save your life. I already told my boyfriend that you are a vampire and transformed into a mortal being after I fed you my blood. You just have to go along with my story and everything will be alright. Okay—?" she looked at him waiting for his cooperation.
Jagger went silent for a few minutes.
"How powerful is your boyfriend—?" Jagger asked suddenly.
"He is powerful..." she looked at him warily. "Why are you asking me about these things?"
"If I can kill him, would you come to love me?" he asked with a serious face, looking at her face intently.
Jessy snorted. "Please stop fantasizing, Jagger! You can't kill my boyfriend, it's not easy to kill him, besides, you are no longer a vampire and all your power was gone. He would kill you like a mosquito. And even if you had the intention to kill him I won't allow it...you easily have forgotten that he is my boyfriend...I will bring death to anyone who dares to harm my loved ones!" she said fiercely while looking into his eyes.
Jagger took a deep breath. "Okay fine. I will follow your instruction," he said. "Why did you tell your boyfriend about me—? I thought my ident.i.ty is a secret to all of them?"
Jessy sighed. "He appeared in my room while I'm preparing these chickens, so, yeah he caught me off guard and starts asking questions, I have no time to construct a lie, that is how he knows about your existence here in the forest," she elaborated further.
Then she fell silent for a moment.
Jagger was still looking at her. "I can go away for a while..." he suggested not wanting to burden her tonight.
She shook her head. "No. He already knew about you so no need to hide the truth from him. As long you won't mention to him that you are the one who brought all the bats into the Facility you will be fine. Just stick to the story that we agreed upon..."
"Okay, for your peace of mind, I will obey your command. Do you still have any instruction for me—?" he asked.
"Just cook some rice in the pot, it will go nicely with the roasted chicken, that's all," she said. "We will be arriving here at midnight, so please behave and be polite. I will go now," she said.
"Sure! Bye and see you later, Jess," Jagger said and took the chicken from the shopping bag and put it in the basin to be roasted tonight.
Jessy roamed her eyes around the treehouse, she spotted her jacket on the floor. "Please hide that jacket, my boyfriend won't like it if he noticed my things in your position," she said.
Jagger looked at her jacket and hides it beneath the blanket. "Are you afraid that your boyfriend would get jealous of us—?" he was smirking while studying her face.
She rolls her eyes and dismissed his innuendo. "There's nothing between us, I'm not guilty, we're just friends and please keep that engraved in your mind," she said.
"How about all the stuff you had bought for me? Do I have to hide them as well?" he looked at the things she bought for him.
"Leave them be, they have no important value that would warrant his interest," she replied.
