"You're going to meet the Queen first before I send you home," Jessy explained.
"Is the queen scary?" Ben asked curiously.
Jessy smiled. "No. She got a pretty and kind face. Don't worry she doesn't bite..." she joked.
Ben laughed nervously. "I'm glad to know that," he said. He looked at her. "Thank you so much, Ma'am Jess, for all the help that you have extended to all humans, we will be forever grateful for your help and a.s.sistance," he said.
"Don't mention it. I'm human too, and it's my responsibility to help my fellow human the best way I can," she stated.
A few minutes later, they already arrived in the study room.
The queen was not in the room yet.
"Ben, have a seat, and you can read the magazines if you like. The queen will be arriving soon any moment," Jessy said pointing to the sofa.
Ben smiled, he picked up a travel magazine and began flipping on the pages, admiring the panoramic view of exotic destinations all over the world that was being featured in the travel magazine.
Jessy glanced at Ben who was engrossed in the magazine that he was holding in his hand. She freezes him on the spot using her eyes.
She picked up the magazine that Ben was holding and looked at the magnificent tourist destinations around the world. "The world is indeed a beautiful place to live, a paradise of its kind, yet the people are slowly destroying this precious planet day after day, what a pity..." she murmured to herself.
The door opened and the queen entered the study room.
"Good evening, Mother!" Jessy greeted the queen.
"Good evening, Jess," Queen Margaret responded with a pleasant smile on her face. She looked at the frozen guy sitting on the sofa. "Is this Ben?" she asked.
"Yes, Mother," Jessy responded.
"Okay, I will start erasing some part of his memory now," the queen said, she went to Ben's side and placed her hands on the man's head.
"Take your time, Mother," Jessy spoke.
She watched as the queen was already deep in the process of erasing Ben's memory of the abduction. She slowly walked towards the door and exited the study room, back to her room.
A moment later.
Jessy was already inside her room. She took a pouch from the closet cabinet and put thirty pieces of gold nuggets inside, then she took an index card and scribbled something on it...
'A little help during the hard times...for the twins!'
She folded the index card and put it inside the pouch bag. She will play a Genie tonight and fulfills Ben's wish and that of his wife. Life is too short, but a life spent on physical torture every day is not worth living...she will grant Ben's wife an eternal peace so that her family can move on with their lives and not be constantly burden by her illness.
She went back to her bed and closed her eyes, there's still enough time left for a quick rest.
One hour later.
Jessy awakened and got up from the bed. She combs her hair and styled it in a ponytail. She put the pouch inside her sling bag and exited the room.
She arrived in the study room just in time to see the queen finis.h.i.+ng erasing Ben's memory of the abduction.
"Child, you just arrive on time, Ben is ready to go home. I will go now to my bedchamber to rest..." the queen informed her.
"Thank you, Mother," Jessy said.
Queen Margaret sauntered to the door and exited the study room quietly.
Jessy looked at the frozen guy. "Time to go home, Ben, to see and talk to your wife for the last time," she said wearing a glum expression on her face.
She touched Ben's arm and made the two of them invisible, she initiated the teleportation process in her mind.
A few minutes later, they landed outside Ben's house. It's already midnight and the entire neighborhood was already in a deep sleep except for the occasional bark of the dogs that echoes in the air.
Jessy made Ben visible and she knocked on the door five times.
The light in the living room come to life, somebody heard the knocking on the door.
After a few seconds, the window opened, and somebody took a peek into the window, then the door was opened widely.
"B-Ben...my son! Is that you?" asked the middle-aged man.
Jessy unfreezes Ben instantly.
Ben blinked and looked at his father. "Dad, I'm home!"
"Ben has returned!" the father's voice rang loudly in the air.
The family members gathered around Ben, their faces were beaming with happiness. Everyone hugged Ben, including his two daughters.
The children rushed into their father's arms, shouting in glee..."Dad! Dad! You've finally come back to us!"
Ben carries them in his arms, then looked at his family members with puzzlement in his eyes. "You guys acted as if I just return after being gone for a long time. I just come back from work," he said smiling.
Ben's family members were looking at each other's eyes with questions running in their minds.
"You've been gone for two years, son," the father said in a low voice.
Ben's eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "Where is Arlene?" he was asking about his cancer-stricken wife.
"She's in the room waiting for you..." the mother said. All the pain and worries that she suffered after her son vanished without a trace was now replaced with happiness, after seeing that he finally returned in their midst, safe and sound.
Ben put down his daughters on the floor and walked slowly towards the room that he shared with his wife.
He opened the door and saw his wife lying on the bed, physically weak to even walk to his side and kiss him on the cheek.
Arlene's gaze wandered to her husband's eyes, with tears streaming down her face. Thank G.o.d, you've finally come back to us! I thought we will never see each other again..." she said, her voice trembled with too much raw emotion.
Ben sat down on the bed, planted a kiss on his wife's forehead and cradled her head on his lap lovingly. "How's my beautiful wife doing?" he asked smiling.
Arlene giggled. "I'm fine. Nice to know that I'm always beautiful in your eyes," she looked at her husband's face, missing him so much.
Ben lies down on the bed beside his wife and wrapped his arms around her. "Why everyone was saying I'm gone for—two years? How is that even possible? Was that a joke—?" he was seeking validation from his wife.
Arlene looked into his eyes. "Yes, they're right. You disappeared two years ago and just come back today. But the thing that puzzled me right now... was the way you reacted to everyone as if you have no idea that you disappeared—why is that?" Arlene said sounding confused than ever.
